The switch to doing it for weapons would be very costly, time consuming and impossible to do without the IAEA noticing. While the diplomatic niceties are going on on the surface, US is increasing its military presence all around Iran all while massaging the public into going along with permanent occupation of Iraq, packaged as "leaving 50 k troops (and unspecified number of mercenaries) behind".

Have to laugh at the situation if it wasn't so dire. Iran has signed the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty, Israel has not. In fact, Israel is the only country in the world with nuclear weapons that has not signed the Treaty. Also why has Israel with its population of 3 million jews, allowed to have a stockpile of nukes similar to that of china (100-200). Given that Israel has carried out false flag ops in the past (Lavon Affair etc), they should not be allowed to have nukes or WMD of any kind.
