is there anybody who does a decent live jam VIDEO on an mpc 5000 and not just hammering on pads... i want to hear the full capacity of this baby, like NI's Maschine...havent found 1 video so far and there doesnt seem to be many. any reasons for that?
Been looking at getting a sequencer for my live improvisation: most of the videos on here have been very uninspiring, but you've turned me over. Fantastic.
Depends where you buy it and which one you are going for. There are a few models out now. They are unfortunately generally expensive pieces of hardware. This one is probably around $1600 new with no upgrades. But you could probably get it cheaper if you look around and on places like ebay.
Err...dude...his tempo's pretty damn tight already. Unless you're talking about the change of tempo in different sections...I believe he did that on purpose, alright?
That was some hot shit bro. I was thinking about getting an MPC. is it fairly easy to place the sounds on the individual pads, is complicated or fairly user friendly. someone let me know.
no its just that people base their information of the wrong stuff. but who gives a shit you can still buy the machine so its all good, when people here a sound that they realy like thats all that matters. they wont give a dam where it came from. especialy if thier saying this is stely music or some crap! thats al that about.
man dudes like seanross25 can say what they want but the truth is this guy has talent and he's trying to make the best of it and that's what counts...words ain't worth shit--it's what you do that gets you the cake
you're talented, but the final product would be below average, because no one's gonna care how fast you can move your fingers on a mpc when they hear the song on their stereo, you definitely need to learn how to make full songs not just mesmerize people with your finger show, lol... constructive criticism
Who said he cant do final tracks, he is just showing a life Set, thats much better to just push the button, and play. He is playing it like a Intrument, and thats cool, he can decide how he wants to play Life, like a freestyle set. Idiot !
word... I'm glad to see someone else doing this shit. I 'm gonna post up that pad assign video and a new joint soon. I saw your vid on the 16pads site before you got at me, dope dope dope...
Damn Lak' you freaked the hell outta those pads bro. I'm really diggin' how you could keep the momentum of the track even while switching pad banks. Nice! How long did it take you to be able to work the pads like that in real time?
Yo Gem. Not really something I actively practiced before. I just used to do this for fun by myself. I'm actually a drummer and a turntablist. Got an MPC a couple of months ago and just started jammin the pads to try and emulate some drum grooves I play. Then I posted a vid and realised that there is this 16pad button pushing community out there. Took a few hours to put this routine together tho' cos people gave a good response to MPC Jam 1. I fidget alot with my fingers tho:)
Thanx man. The groove at the end was a tricky one to put together. Had to figure out on what drumsounds the bassline notes would fall and then assign another pad with the same sound and the bass note that fell on that sound. Then pick out the bass line with those pads while keeping groove going. Bit of a mind-bender.
good shit. love the tripples. thats complicated stuff your doing but i understand now how you have the same sound on two pads and that allows you to double up your hats and synth sound. i'll have to try that. my skills are primitive =-(
