Come and check out my video

  • 2:24 Ooops... no problem, is a basculant bench

  • ..Ok...looks good, go ahead and TIG it...

  • Nice...no fooling around...A friend of mine is building a heli-copter, all TIG chro-mo...he owns his own fab shop...structural mostly... People make comments here, you can tell they aren't really with-it.. I've done a whole lot of Chro-mo, stainless, inconel, hastalloy...aluminum, carbon..SMAW, TIG, MIG, FCAW...sheet/plate/pipe/tube...I give you the compliment you deserve..!!

  • Usted no sabe cómo soldar.

  • Nice :-) Keep it coming !!!

  • lol I like this vid. Straight-up no bs commentary w/ conflicting advice. Dude's just in the groove. You can see it in his face:

"Part A to part B. Here I am joining the two...♪doot-doo-doo♫. There's one side. There's the other side. We unclamp (there ya go, see?) Now get the f*ck outta here."

  • @RayPluton Yes, I was gonna say that...just do it...don't BS around...

  • I hope I never fly in that plane. You didn't purge the tube with argon so the inside of the tube will be coked and severely weakened.

    Moron.

  • @ByFcuk It's not stainless...

  • this really isnt going to help me with my engineering leaving cert

  • that was awsome please do another one

  • GREAT VIDEO dont listen to those donkeys

  • @Icecube5285 I second that comment...!

  • I m 18 and im taking a pre engineering class in school and i can do carbon steel and aluminum tig but im having a little trouble with tig welding the 16 gauge stainless steel sheet metal. i was wondering if anyone has any tips

  • @ThePaCmAnMaRiO

what kind a problems are you having?

  • @brownie12345able the main problem im having right now is sugaring where the other side of the metal is black and looks like shit

  • @ThePaCmAnMaRiO

it sounds like your are getting to much heat focused on an area at one time i kno i just started liike a month ago tigging and stainless steel was easier to me but wat i call it is suckback almost like the metal melts??? my advice would be to maybe turn ur heat up move faster? or add the filler wire in faster an pull out faster cuz wat u want is that puddle and as soon as possible idk u could give that a whorl if u havnt already

  • Pretty cool video.

  • wow man congratz nicely welded part :))

  • That's 4:52 of my life I'll never get back. how is this almost 400,000 views?

  • @kgbean idiot pricks who watch it then complain about it

  • @psycho826 They are probly wanna b's...

  • GTAW aluminum is probally the funnest

  • @DishonorableSlap aluminum is really bad for health though. I hear some guys mentioned if you work long enough with aluminum your teeth will fall out

  • @DishonorableSlap yea gtaw is my specilty

  • @koitorob Yup, safety first.

  • Tig is the funnest of all, but its also the hardest too learn haha. I love tigin.

  • @jdpalacios25 is welding in general a fun job?

  • @slim0221 I'm only 17 so I couldnt tell you if its fun for a job but Ive been taking tech school while in high school and this is my second year. Ive learned stick, mig and tig welding. And once you learn it and get the hang of it, its really fun. Tig can make you really mad cause its very difficult to learn but once you get it down, omg you feel like a badass when you learn it. haha LMAO

  • how long does it take to get your b-ticket in welding?

  • Awesome, I'll have 4 CWB tickets soon! Thanks mate!

  • !!!!!!!!!

  • nice

  • It is they way of welding

  • Hard worker.

  • Thumbs up if youfavoritemartian- tig O'l Bitties brought you here.

  • Show some a/c and d/c aluminum and I'll be more impressed. But decent welds anyway.

  • Tits

  • It would have been a lot better to assemble everything without gloves first. Just saying...

  • good job

  • Nice welding. Nice job. I'm envious of you!

  • @airboy90

Fuck osha. another good idea that is horribly retarded, and wouldn't know their ass if you rammed a job site up it.

  • It's when your welding stainless steel that masks is good for you. Its not needed but if your going to be welding stainless steel for a longer period of time i would recommend using a mask with oxygen supply. just got my TIG certification by the way :)

  • Why does he need earplugs and safetyglasses? im a welding student and i don't use them.

  • Good welder.

  • dam i wanna learn to tig weld but there so expensive ! i dont know what to start off with

  • @1994toyotasupra i would say Aluminum because it is the hardest

  • @crazedude4life sorry i ment like what to start off with in a welder.. tig.. mig ? idk what to buy or how much to spend

  • If you can put your camera behind a speed glass you can get some good close up video, thanks for the video weld looked good.

  • 1. They are TIG welding gloves, different gloves for MMA & MIG

    2. He clamped the work, no need for tack welds

    3. Safety - Hes wearing a suitable visor, little to no sparks, low ampage.

By the way do you use the slope in slope out setting. Most forget & end up with a 2 inch hole in thier work piece lol.

  • that rod you are holding is the welds right and that gun heats it up right

  • I LOVE is moustache

  • I think i have never seen someone work so efficient with leather gloves on

  • You look unhappy with your job... you should smile a little. hahaha!

  • Thanks for the video

  • I like those safety glasses you're wearing while grinding.

  • Is your helmet auto darkening? Great job.

  • I just started TIG this quarter. Having a hell of a time with it, I always burn up the filler before I can get it close enough, yet if I back off the heat it just ruins my flow. In quite the pickle here.

  • omg i welding the same in 1 minute and looks much better

  • @MyDemol -and how is that supposed to help any of us? Why should we care if some random internet person SAYS*** they can weld better than someone who has put up a video trying benefit others?

  • so is it like oxy welding

  • i hope to be a weilder, i go to a voc school now just leared a T joint with tig, hows the pay of a weilder?

  • thankx.

  • Good job man! You're quick with the skill and it's a good bead. Props.

  • Dont look into that flame oh shit

  • What impressed me was no chitchat, just Git-R-Done! Nice work.

  • Should try using a Gas Lens with a Number 6 or 7 cup. You'll get much better gas coverage. Other then that looks good.

  • fuckin sexy

  • isnt it hard using those kind of gloves ? :o i use very thin gloves etc Full finger montage gloves :)

  • this is a good job!!!!....tj...mex..

  • that will be me one day!

  • Nice

  • Thanks for posting the video! Very interesting.

  • Awesome!

  • por la forma de mirar y postura, seguro que tiene 15 años de experiencia

  • you're good.

  • how much does it cost to get a weld about a quarter the length of what you have just done to repair crack in 4130 has to be neat dont want to use a hideous arc welder

  • @soudyman 50 an hour

  • good weld

  • Well done

  • This guy sure looks pissed off, I guess I would be to working in a shit hole factory...oh wait, I do.

  • Its Farva!

  • Well ain't that the shit!! We thought that might be it but never stopped getting as close as we could because we thought you had too!! WOW Thanks again we learned another tib bit from your videos keep posting we want to learn more!! Thanks for the fast email reply as well!! Joseph T fly2000jtb

  • are you right or left handed? we can weld every type but tig?!? we get shocked as well as have troble with the useable rod, that is why we ask left or right. wild but everytime i we have tryed it we have not gotten it? thanks for the video joseph t fly2000jtb

  • Come on man, can't forget those safety glasses. it'd suck to have a piece of steel in your eyeballs!

  • nice one

  • My favorite welding process...

  • If your happy and you know it clap your hands, if your happy and you know it clap your hands, if your happy and you know it and you want the world to know it............just joking mate, I'm not usually smiling at work either :o)

  • Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing...

  • dude, you are a king among welders.

i wish i was half as good as you. How long you been welding?

    peace from chicago.

  • do you need any post process to be done after TIG welding the 4130 chromoly, like stress annealing etc...

  • Nice welds my friend!

  • Like your work...WICKED!!

  • bet uve done that a few times

  • nice work 67....I m looking to weld some chrome alloy for bicycle frames,I have some extra time ..I like the tig weld because its clean and you dont have to go back and clean welds with a grinder, like i do with my new mig a bought at harbor freight ..Im totally new to welds but seem to be doing strong penetration work..IS A MIG FOR CHROME ALLOY TUBING?CAN YOU SHOW ME A COUPLE WELDS

  • Pro work man! BTW good idea to weld with the braces makes production faster instead of taking the time to tack then pull off the braces.

  • nice welds man.

  • Would be a littlle easier to tack in both sides first and then release the vice grips, for

better access. Good welding and good luck

  • Should have put the vise grips the other way around silly they wouldn't have got in the way lol

  • nice welding mate , i learnt to tig weld in my first yr as a boilermaker i picked it up in under a week :-)

  • Look easy. that wire coat hanger look's like it will hold well.make another video for the people that wanna learn please.

  • I love your video, I really wish I had a job welding i miss it so much, especially TIG welding. Once you get the flow down its more of an art than work when you think about it. No job at the moment. should put more videos up. +1

  • Offshore welders earn $2,775.00 per 84 hr. work week. If you would like to weld offshore where the big bucks are made, send to me your email address. If you are not a welder, but would still like to go work offshore, send me your email address.

  • Nice shoot!

  • You need to keep the gas on it more at the end. Thats why bigining and end look bad. It helps to activate trigger once before you start weld. So no contamination is in cup when you start. Then start arc. And grind areas to be welded. Blueing/oil can contaminate weld making it Crack from vibrations. And its not a brace its a jig. But good job. looks pretty level no under cut or over lap that i could see.

  • stop it I'm sick of the youtube safety police! this guy is sanding off mill scale with a paper disk just a small amount of dust. Why don't you bitch about that. he should have a mask on, his gloves are the wrong shade of gray, the skin on his neck is showing, he's welding on a Sunday near a lake in may, Bla Bla Bla. This guy has a job he's a pro he knows what's going on and is responsible for himself. have you safety glass nazis ever welded for a living? or do you just read about it?

  • many pros died welding zinc coated shit ,pros get cocky , pros die because of that,

pros should take safety lessons again and again

  • @matt986423

that's what the guy with three missing finger told me 3 weeks ago

at the risk of sounding like an afterschool special, use annoying the safety crap

especially the f*ing too hot and sticky breathing mask

    caughing for a week sucks

  • @shodanxx what ever, you really don't get my point do you? but you sure are proving it.

  • @matt986423 Were is that guy's safety glasses.. Is he superman that he does not wear them???

I am a 40 year plus journeyman welder..I DO wear my safety shit.. He is a fool to show everyone on youtube

the unsafe way to do things.. If he gets shit in his eyes...Then how is he going to do his work?? And it happens so fast.. Safety First!!!!

  • @weldermaniacbob Make sure to wear your safety gear when you beat off at night.

  • @madisonelectronic your mother does that for me asshole

  • @weldermaniacbob Its called a visor. Anyone whose been in the bussiness long enough knows, TIG doesn't produce a massive arc. Unless your using a shity scratch start TIG as well it will never contaminate in the hands of an experienced welder. You no nothing. Safety glasses are for Lathes, mills & drills not welding

You=Fail Im a PEO L2 welding student that just owned your ass.

  • @matt986423 haha.. you tell 'em slim.... safety nazis.. we had one where i used to work, bitch came in while we were eating lunch in our office and told us to put our safety glasses on... while i was eating a sandwich..

  • @matt986423 pros usually bite the big one though...

  • @matt986423 also the should know that TIG welding doesn't produce a large quantity of sparks from the arc. so he is well situated :D

  • those be some sexy welds.

  • sounds like someone needs to sharpen there tungsten. and looks liek you need to bump up the heat a bit , those welds are pretty tall . i appreciate your a professional and all , dont mean to dissrespect, butas a welder , and someone who flies, id want them to have deeper penetration .

  • nice bead

  • NICE! I am currently taking a welding collage now. you weld better than me :D ha

  • NICE! I am currently taking a welding collage now. you weld better than me :D ha

  • SAFETY GLASSES????

  • Good video, can you tell me if I am TIG welding mild steel can I use the same gas as I use for mig welding (argon mix) or do I have to use pure argon as for stainless/aluminium thanks

  • Tack weld before final welding

  • If you notice I am using a brace to hold my work together. Doesn't need tack welds.

  • You are correct,good job,

    Thanks for the video

  • @thuth67 warping would be a greater problem if the piece was larger or the weld longer.

  • @thuth67 where did you get that brace or how did you make that brace

  • @nada2008 can do it in one pass if its tacked too just saying, nice weld though

  • @nada2008 idiot.

  • @nada2008 Tack or tightly clamp. Make little to no difference.

  • tig is wonderful. i weld at haney technical center in panama city, fl. certified in stick and tig all the way tig is so nice clean and quiet and you can make some stainless sure look perty if you know what your doin

  • Good Jobb Mann !!!

    ;]

  • How informative

  • dang thats nice i need to learn how to TIG

  • nice, kindly visit glotoniok, watch the experiment of dual jet technology, tig welding 2kilos weight and heavy duty

  • nice welding bro, you have alot of interesting pieces for setting up the positioning. il have to make a few like that. looks good man

  • i love tig

  • You will not be welding if a piece of metal hits you in the eye and blinds you !! WEAR SAFETY GOOGLES WHEN GRINDING !!

    Cheers ...........Captain

  • not to mention that if someone strikes an arc while your helmet is still up, safety glasses will relfect 99% of he radiation.

  • Nice work. I'd really love to learn how to TIG weld. I have only welded with the MIG/MAG and the MMA weld. I have only used MMA once though but I use the MIG/MAG two days a week when I'm in school. I'm on the industrial program. We will probably learn how to TIG weld in second grade in High School. But now in the first grade it's just MIG/MAG and MMA. Thanks for the vid.

  • What does MMA stand for? Is it stick a.k.a SMAW?

  • MMA is Manual Metal Arc welding. I'm gonna try it out in school tomorrow.

  • So basically SMAW (stick), right?

  • Yeah basically it is. But according to my book it's wrong to call it stick weld :P but I know what you mean =)

  • Did you like it when you tried it out? SMAW is my favorite for sure. I call it that because my teacher taught me that and the industry around here calls it that.

  • Well, it was fun when I could egnite ( spell ) the rod but that didn't happen' so often. I usually got stucked on the material I worked on. Just keep practicing :)

  • That happened to me a lot at first also. It just took some practice, but now my weld beads are really good.

  • Yeah. I just need to practice more and eventually I won't get the stick to get stucked anymore. I'm really excited to try out the TIG weld. But we won't do that until the second or third grade.

  • I've already done tig and it's my first year in welding. In fact, I just did it yesterday and the machine was all messed up.

  • Oh yeah? My teacher says that TIG is the most easy welding method. But I think that the MIG/MAG is the most easy one.

  • TIG is pretty easy, but I think that MIG is the easiest. Also we thougt it might have been something with the argon because of the appearance of the welds, but we weren't sure.

  • Yeah I agree. I actully tried out the TIG today on a break. It was extremely fun. The welds were not so good but hey, just need to practice. =)

  • I just did "true" MIG for the first time yesterday. My dad owns a hobart handler 125 (FCAW). The MIG machine I have been using is a Millermatic 210 and it is really really nice.

  • Okey. I havn't tried out the MIG but I have tried out the MAG. Only difference is that the MIG has Inert Gas and MAG has active gas. And yesterday I finally learned how to egnite the rod for MMA welding. Before that, I just got stucked on the thing I worked on but yesterday I finally learned not to get stucked. I'm really happy about it.

  • Sounds like some fun! I just got back from a presentation that the robotics team that I am on was at. We did a presentation at a college and got some tips and ideas on how to make our robot.

  • Oh yeah? Cool. I guess it's a weld robot?

  • @Bgkgtjh tig is harder mig is not skilled give it two any one who can hold a line even crack heads lol MMA is harder than mig becouse you have two controle the way you weld into the puddle and the same goes for tig

  • Yes MIG is the easiest one. MMA and Gas welding is probably the hardest methods. TIG and MIG is probably the most easiest methods. Now I've learned to egnite the MMA rod. Now I have to work on the weld lines. It's fun when you've learned to egnite the rod.

  • why arent u using ur rod to start the arc?? and really those welds arent nothin to brag on espcially in the flat position!

  • Great welds!

  • When your Tig welding if your welding 2 work pieces together you should still tac weld the ends right???

  • Very nice welds. Liked it!

  • Where are his safety glasses?! They quit being not cool to wear when you get shit stuck in your eye. Like hand grinding?!

  • Oh your right! I'll need to be more careful in the future.

  • @welditup85 you idiot, have you seen the size of his griding disk?

  • @welditup85 wouldn't the mask prevent bits from getting into your eyes while welding?

  • @welditup85 since when has it bin cool to not wear them??

  • Comment removed

  • nice!

  • sweet welding job!!

    A+

  • i have a mask that self darkens. it works well on MIG but it flashes on and off with TIG!? now my eyes hurt!

  • You need to change the sensitivity settings on the controls and make it more sensitive. Also set the shade level to 11. Hope this helps

  • ok cheers.

  • @thuth67 hey i am planning on being an underwater welder , i know how to stick weld and learning how to MIG weld any other types of welders i should learn to use>?
