Maybe try not to say much about him doing lots of noise, since he finds that funny and as if you're praising him. Since you give him a reaction that he wants. So you could try make him do something that both of you enjoy, and make a huge fuss about that, as these birds love drama - The more the better.

That's bloody musical compared to what mine used to do. Mine used to randomly screech horridly loud sounds from his cage, like someone blowing a whistle in your ear. Not that I don't miss him. ;)

those are his own whistles, not imitating anything. he loves to whistle loudly when he's happy, and he particularly enjoys sticking his beak right up against my ear when he does it.
