i can't decide which should i buy between this one and the samsung jet.. i am not very comfortable with touchscreens but i am amazed by the functions and the 5mpx camera on the samsung jet. yet, i do think that blackberry is easier and handy to use..please help!
question: on my memory card, when i put it in the computer, it opens and shows the cards info. Some are pics, vids, and music to be put on my cell phone. Another one is "MEDIA"......WHAT CAN I PUT IN THIS FOLDER TO BE PUT ON MY PHONE?
if you order the black battery door on ebay, it's easily replaceable. rogers in canada offers the black, but t-mobile in the u.s. offers silver for some reason. black looks better!
To be honest, I have no been impressed with the web speed - even on WiFi. It just seems that RIM's proxy servers are taking way too long to connect. Maybe a temp problem, but annoying none the less since i know how fast a WiFi smartphone can be.
It's very different. If you prefer the BlackBerry way of doing email and apps, then it's great. If you prefer Symbian and S60, the E71 is equally great.
It depends on what you want, and what you like. I like both devices very much, but would probably personally lean more towards the Curve 8900 because it suits my personal needs a bit better.
Not *very* different, no. But the 8900 is quite a bit smaller than the Bold and lacks the Bold's 3G support. Otherwise the functionality is quite similar, I suppose.
Interesting phone. It seems to me that this is TMobile's 'version' of the bold. Would this be a correct observation or are they very different phones?
I own this phone and have put out alot of video tutorials and hands on reviews. Go check them out if you are interested in this phone!

What is the best blackberry to buy?
-as to latest features/tech
-best design/looks

Would be this one, or the Bold for most people. I like the Storm, personally, but I know many people who do not.

if you're on Verizon wait till may for the Blackberry 9630! google it

Dang, that's ALMOST like my 8330 BB Curve from Sprint.
Waste of money on the 9000.
iTWMorph 3 years ago
Uhhh....are you aware of what you just said? LOL
Not only does the Sprint's 8330 look completely different from the 8900, but the 8330 is CDMA and this is GSM which already tells you the difference.

Is it any better than the Nokia E71?
themanwhoknew 3 years ago
It's very different. If you prefer the BlackBerry way of doing email and apps, then it's great. If you prefer Symbian and S60, the E71 is equally great.
mobileburn 3 years ago
mobileburn - So basically it's subjective?
themanwhoknew 3 years ago
It depends on what you want, and what you like. I like both devices very much, but would probably personally lean more towards the Curve 8900 because it suits my personal needs a bit better.
mobileburn 3 years ago
mobileburn - I see. I think there's a question anyone can agree on.
Whats easier to use?
themanwhoknew 3 years ago
Hmmm, I don't find S60 to be all that intuitive, so I'd probably say the BlackBerry is a bit easier to use.
mobileburn 3 years ago
mobileburn - I know what you mean. I just got a phone with S40 and they cut and shut some S60 in there just to be annoying.
It's kind've like adding Ford galaxy parts to your new Harley.
themanwhoknew 3 years ago
Is it worth upgrading from the previous curve ?
FiascosFreshness 3 years ago
There's not all that much in new functionality, but the new display, AF camera, and thinner design are worth having.

hmmm, i see. and about the screen, i understand it has a higher res count than the bold but is the difference noticeable?
ipodlover77 3 years ago
Higher res by a little bit, yeah, but it's smaller. You wouldn't really notice the change in res as much as the size.
mobileburn 3 years ago
what would you prefer, bold or javelin?
ipodlover77 3 years ago
3G would be nice, but I prefer the size, keyboard, and UMA support on the 8900.
mobileburn 3 years ago
Not *very* different, no. But the 8900 is quite a bit smaller than the Bold and lacks the Bold's 3G support. Otherwise the functionality is quite similar, I suppose.
