It seems to me it is a lot more socially acceptable to be a Cougar in the US. This is not the case in England.

This is so wonderful. You needn´t worry about people lacking humour, we are on planet Earth and things are not so good as they could be - welcome by the way - we should just realize that they can not see what doesn´t fit in and therefore is funny or what the actors are actually doing and going through. English actors are the best on the planet - my dad used to say that - we are Swedish - I recommend also "Harry Enfield, the two old ladies at the gasstation". This is the best one.

@Rachiejane1 Actually, for your information, in my mind, both of those show's are worse than this, with their stupid laugh tracks every time the actors say something.
My point is, British comedy seems to lack any form of subtlety, though I must admit, so does a lot of American comedy shows.
In this case, there is no jokes whatsoever or any kind of attempt at wit, its just a mindless display of retardation.

@liamsp544 Monty Python, Black Books, Fawlty Towers, Hugh and Laurie, The Office etc etc. Would you consider these legends of comedy lacking in subtlety? In fact, american comedy is a travesty when compared to the british. just look at the way they raped The Office and turned it into yet another extremely crude and slapstick oriented ripoff. You seem to have little understanding about what you are talking about.
