@SG55OVCam Quite so! I felt obliged to comment after reading about two quikfit mechanics who took this high performance car out for a spin while they were supposedly servicing it. They drove at high speeds in a built up area like a couple of maniacs and ran over some little child, killing him. I read this in one of the local newspapers here in England. My advice, stick to your local franchise garage even if you pay that bit extra.

Luckily I was trained as a mechanic so I work on my own and my friends cars but have seen these kwik fit garage bodges where they leave bolts loose, and rip off lady drivers who go in for one tyre, they say your shockers have blown, you need 4 of them,, costs them $.!!

Kwik fit in Alloa, wrecked my van and left it unusable. Stripped the threads on the cylinder head changing the spark plugs. Took months for them to get it fixed and only after going to trading standards and a solicitor. Now taking them to court for loss of earnings. Lost a lot of regular customers because of Kwik fit.

just went down for a MOT got a service aswell for £99 total rip of barstards tryed to tell me i needed new break shoes new break fluid tracking doing ect. i thought i had a oil leak last week so i put it into ford for a check up before the warenty ended and they said everything was fine , so i dont know how my 2007 car has fallen apart in a matter of days. but as im a mechanic im now gonna have to spend my sat re checking all there shit. I do,nt work in any form of retail centre either, finished with those about 15 years ago and the ones I did work at did,nt just do car and van tyres, they did all other forms aswell .

I worked at Kwik-Fit from 2000 - 2003, I did an apprenticeship with them, complete waste of 3 years. Money was shit, and I was told to rip as many people off as I could. When an old man or woman would come in with a small problem, I was allways told to rip them off. Tell them their tracking is out and just put a few marks on the track rod ends so it looks like the tracking has been done and then charge them
