This game is a free roam game, so is nfs carbon, and probably others. every nfs game i have played is free roam.

you get out of carreer mode and got to the left until you see mulltiplayer obiously you select but what sucks about multiplayer its not online and the car chases are pretty lame i think

My other option was sonic unleashed because i just want something really fast and really frantic. But does nfs have the my cars option from previous games where you could create and customize your car without cash limits and use them in quick race?

Well according to the same critics, this game was terrible too. i got this one in the end and unfortunately it doesn't have the my cars we all came to know and love from underground through carbon(i love it no matter what anyone says). i have always found the good in the sonic games mainly because of their unrivaled sense of speed. The only thing in my experience that came close was F-Zero GX. GOD that game was a frikken rush!
