  • just awesome, from the uk, have seen him 8 times, an everytime simply breathtaking, thanks bruce.

  • I have had this record since it came out in 1982 (yes, I have it on vinyl), and to this date this remains one of the saddest, most melancholy records I have in my collection. I always seem to be drawn to this disc (I have the CD now) when I feel really low, which is quite often now.

  • this whole album is just amazing.

  • The Boss at his best - great stuff this!

  • I wore this album out. I was at the lowest point in my life when it came out, Lost my job, Lost my fiancee. And I played this album every day. This song stands up with any of his great rocking, full band recordings.

Very much agree mate, Bruce wore his heart on his sleeve on this record. Well, he always does but this one was very personal and heartbreaking. God bless this guy he can still cut the mustard all these years later...

  • Shocked that this is the first comment for such an awesome song but thanks for sharing this! Reminds me of my favourite show Boardwalk Empire when I hear it now. One of his best along with Jungleland!
