hufffffffff de las mejores...... solo se siente .... hay que escuchar y prestar atención es un transporte a oto escenario, hufffff no me canso de escuharla
@NobllTotenkopf No instruments were involved in making this music. He used a special technique involving lungs and stomach for the bass line. The cymbal sound was created by gently hitting his fingers and the flute sound is simply done with his nose. And yes, he recorded this in a crypt from an underground graveyard deep inside a cave :). All in all I don't know what the heck Mortiis was on, but he definitely knew how to create a sound that is out of this reality.
@NobllTotenkopf He used a synthesizer (a Roland I seem to rememeber, he even sold it on eBay 3-4 years ago, but I am not sure), but, as he stated in the reprint of this album, he did not use any sequencer (so no MIDI was involved at all). Just keyboards and fingers :)
This whole album is comprised of music that I could imagine hearing in some old school 16-bit RPG, like the background music as you walk around towns and dungeons.
this is awesome song. you would not believe how hard it is to download this song from dammn internet. you can t download from torrent unless you hav server in usa, canada, uk and all other RICH countries. i really hope that i will be successfull in downloading it one day. if you can help, please HELP....
Use rapidshare or megaupload or other hosting companies. Just type in google something like this: 1. rapidshare name_of_the_artist "name of the album" or 2. blog name_of_the_artist "name of the album". Rapidshare sucks a little bit if you don't have an account (the time limit bullshit or slots unavailable) but their database is huge. In time I found megaupload to be the best. Anyway you'll get a taste of which one is better when you try them. In time you'll use many of them :))
Even better you can BUY the album on the internet. ;) I bought every Era I album (except The Stargate, although, I do want The Stargate at some point).
yes, he was the bassist. he was much better then them for a while, but now Emperor's gone and Mortiis has gone to hell. What ever happened to the good days of BM. I think all the good bands went to America now! Haha, just look at bands like Xasthur and Wolves in The Throne room next to the new Scandinavian stuff.
Sometimes, music isn't about how fast something is played, nor if it can make you go crazy. Music is about the mood it sets, and this sets an amazing atmosphere.
I could totally see a band like Melvins doing this justice with real instruments. Just imagine that riff.

@Progenitura I bet Mortiis have some certificate in electroacoustic production or something.
That people knows a lot about different ways of recording and editing sound.

Actually I think he was talking about Emperor not Mortiis since Mortiis was once the singer of Emperor if you didn't know.
PsychoticSuperStar 2 years ago
Sir,i dont think you got your facts straight. I dont want to be offensive but Mortiis played bass in the early days of Emperor.
