So I built this in SMP. I got it working, although the timing seems to be screwed up by lag sometimes. The real problem though, is that the empty cart detector is really buggy. Every time I ride a cart over it, the turn changes and hooks up to the other side (the side where you start the ride, which is no good). This often also makes the powered rail beneath and to the right of it also to hook up with it, getting the minecarts stuck.
So for some reason the cart is not getting enough speed to match the timing when you call it. it has something to do with the delivery method, if you place it down on the start point your self or bump the cart ever so slightly before you get in and pick your destination, it takes off from the start point with the right amount of speed. When you hit the cart dispenser button and get in it dose not have enough momentum to get to the tracks in time while there switched. I removed the door circuit.
i have a trapdoor pez dispencer in my own world but it when saving/loading, or walking to far away. the carts tend to glitch through the trap door and pile up on the exit track.... any ideas? even when i'm standing in front of the pile of carts i can see them bounce up and down a little.
Hey man, I loaded this onto my server, but for some reason the switching system isn't working. I was wondering if you would care to join my server and see why it won't work?
@stew5150 A vast majority of the time, the issue is rotation. If you install the station rotated from my design, you may need to invert the signals. By default the tracks should point to the launcher when arriving. Only other issue would be timing. You should be able to adjust the repeaters to make it work. I posted a recent video on adding pulse lengtheners if that's still a problem
@Minecraftaddict and @stew5150 the same thing happened to me, i downloaded the world save and the track pointed to the launcher, but they didn't switch? ive even pushed the button when i was in view of the track and they didn't switch all..... i even tried tinkering with the repeaters and still nothing..... any advice on how to fix?
So awesome man! I know you'll come up with a crafty way of handling the empty cart detection soon. What about some sort of default loopback rail that only leads you to the main track if occupied, otherwise returns to the stack? Excellent video.
u always sound depressed lol jkz

Hey dude, could you maybe make a video where you explain the empty pez dispenser detection a little more?
I'd like to implement a system like that in a minecart station I'm working on.

Damn ur good at redstone. Could u show a vid or tutorial on how to make a minecart station with levers that pick your destination? Plz. :)

@monev44 IDK if its a SMP thing. but its the same weather the default door position is up or if its down.

@Minecraftaddict I think I have it hammered out now. Would still like to get you in to check it out.

@Minecraftaddict my problem is the rotation of the tracks, can u teach how to invert the signals and make it work?

You should hook up a bit of redstone to automatically release another cart.
