@boaby16 maybe so, but there was no reason for an almost exact same squad to be playing ten times worse than last season, the only change was the manager, stories are emerging now about the morale in the dressing room being rock bottom during mclarens reign, marcus tudgay who is now playing well and with confidence was told by mclaren that was no addition and had no future with the squad, the playes that he did bring in havent really done all that much, often good players were left on the bench,

My two cents on those three and a half months was when Davies was sacked (Which I reckon was about his mouth catching up with him), McClaren offered his services so he could rebuild his image in England. He wanted money, and a lot of it, to do his job, so the board went 'Yep, it's now or never. Go forth and spend', then completely fucked him over with no money offered, and when we started badly, Doughty made up the FFP rubbish to cover his
