Do you think I could achieve any success doing it to her? Even though she may not understand what I'm trying to do? Thanks for any help!

Hey, I've got a question, and I hope you don't take it as an attack, I would just like to know your view on this.
It seems (reading your comment to lazyevilwarrior) that you deny the existence of a disorder and instead you seem to call it a behavior/though process. While the techniques taught in this video may very well help someone with ocd, it seems as though you apply the same thought process to a disorder like schizophrenia, so I can only assume that you apply this to all mental disorders.
@ZiggyOsiris My concern is this. While the techniques taught may be beneficial, the denial of a clinical condition is not. For example, I have tourettes syndrome. While I can suppress tics for some time, there comes a point where I am mentally incapable of not ticcing and they come out even without warning. In countries that recognize tourettes as a behavioral problem, I could be jailed for having corprolalia.
What is your response to this, and how would you apply your techniques to tourettes?
Within the disORDER there is ORDER. All mental disORDER there is an internal process what has ORDER. Those who create titles for behaviors (disORDERS) have no ideal what is going on within the mind of the individual but are looking at the outward performances and slapping a label on it AND sending them home with a bag of pills. There is ORDER within the disORDER. This deeper than just a play of words but real truth here. PEACE
@ZiggyOsiris Much about the brain is not well understood. Much about our behavior is not well understood. Most disorders, such as Attention Deficit Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, don't have defined symptoms. I have a friend who has extreme OCD, to the point where he is incapable of feeding himself or functioning normally. Beliefs are very powerful. If one believes that they are OCD, in many ways it can validate why they must do their rituals. The rituals are the issue!
I actually agree with health magic because the internal processes occurring within the brain are causing symptoms a person experiences, such as visual illusions the brain creates of seeing somebody in your perspective that doesn't exist in reality (a classic example of shizophrenia). This is scientific. This could relate to ocd because your mind is experiencing a persistent illusion of a dead body being under your car as metioned in this video.
@ZiggyOsiris Unfortunately, your mind automatically considers a imagination to be real, which is what your mind is using and is considered to be normal. However, if you cannot realize that this image is illogical at first and doesn't make any sense, your mind starts to automatically convert to the idea and it starts to bring upon repetitiveness if not dealt with properly.
@ZiggyOsiris It is certainly the wiring in your brain that is repsonsible for this and ocd indiviualds tend to have a a specific nerual wiring that is contantly fired causing genreal anxiety, panic attacks and etc to occur. The cause of this is still unknown by scientists, but studies suggest that is could be genetics or it could not. This disoder along with all others is trigger by a specific cause in most cases I believe and generally it is the stress we expereince in life.
@ZiggyOsiris Stress is not good for the mind unfortunately. Thus, I want to point out that congitive control is very essential to shut down this false circuity in the mind, going along with all disorders. CBT, which ocd sufferes likely heard of is an effective treatment process where you consider your unpleasant impulsive thoughts as a distraction.
@ZiggyOsiris The main point of this is to focus on something else rather than the fearful images u are experiencing. To improve your cognitive processes, exercise is essential because researcher states that it improves your intelligence by expanding and building dendrites of your neurons. This can end your illogical processing of information in the brain and even substantially in conjuction with cognitive control treat any mental health problem.
i have ocd and i was wondering can ocd make you think your literally more dumb after you do something only a few amount of times that could make you a little bit dumber after you done it at least 100 times becaue like ive been thinking that im a lot dumber to where i feel like i cant speak as well as i use to
OCD is caused by defects in the basal ganglia and white matter abnormalities of the frontal-subcortical circuitry. The disorder can be idiopathic in origin (likely genetic in this case) or caused by trauma such as surgery or any illness with the potential to cause brain damage or an auto-immune response that can cause brain damage.
You cannot make it go away as it has a very physical basis. However certain therapies can reduce severity of the symptoms.
Great understanding Robert, you tackle this problem in a matter of fact fashion which is very effective, is done with a great resolve and passion (great work)
Robert please stop babbling on. Life is short, if you know the cure then post it up on here. It's all well and good replying to people and signing off ... Peace Robert. But help out a little, just please tell us how to cure OCD! I've had OCD for over 15 years, I've had enough! Help me out please!

i always think im going to choke.... well actually i don't think i am going to choke until I am eating or drinking and my mind will not let me swallow whatever is in my mouth...and if I somehow do I almsot faint or can barely swallow it. and so a lot of times I spit out my food. I've lost so much weight.. i don't have any physical things like cheking under the car or whatever. just this mental thing and it has to do with life or death.
I have OCD and your advice is very healing!! I worry that I may have schitzophrinea even tho I've been diagnosed with OCD are those 2 deseases simular? Could I possably have schizo instead of OCD? Please comment back god bless u!!
You really don't have either one but rather are doing something inside that appears to be as if you were both. Releasing the fear and behaviors that support the actions you will lose those labels. You are a dynamic person who creates from what you hold within. Peace Robert
my OCD..is very very bad....anything that a normal person do i cant do it sumthime...because i have to think of sum dumb stufff....for example i try to sit dwn i have to come bck up again......jus because sum very stupid thoughts in my mind tells mi too...and everythime i try to jus ignore it it tells mee dat sumthing going to happend to my love ones or dis n dat sumthing bad....really very annoying things....
I have a problem that is OCD related and im desperate to know how I can stop this. You see I have this problem where i have this fear of dying and many things that is death related. and every single time i try to not think about it. it just gets worse and it increases my anxiety to the point where im close to hurting myself and it scares me. I try very hard to focus on other things thats not negative but I always end up just stressing even more. I would really like to know how I can stop this
i only have one problem, but it's gotten so bad i feel like killing myself. I CAN'T STOP LOOKING AT MY HANDS AND FINGERS!!! I want to play guitar so bad but i keep wanting my hands to look better and my right hand looks and works better than my left. people keep telling me they look and work the same but i can't stop looking at my ring and middle finger on my left hand, please help
With me the OCD is linked to attachment and loss thinking; meaning for example if I am reading something online and later want to get back to it but can't retrieve the info due to not remembering where the information was I get a "need to" signal in my mind and if I don't or can't get the information back I feel a rush sensation and feeling of eminent danger and this does affect me physically as well. My mind just doesn't let go and won't move on and I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.
I don't think anybody have experienced my OCD case. This is how it works: For example, I think about how to cure my OCD, and in my mind i get like two different answers or solutions (solution of "curing" my OCD), but the thing is this is basicly an OCD symptom itself, and because i can't find the answer, the thought never leaves my mind peacefully. I KNOW IT'S CRAZY!!!
Have you tried a similar reprogramming with someone having schizophrenia? Is it about their programming too? Can you work with someone who's haunted by aliens, security, bad guys, whatever? That would be interesting. Thank you Robert.
Don't know if it helps but I read a scientific paper linking schizophrenia with doing spiritism. This was maybe because in doing spiritism , spirits get part of mental energy knowingly or not from the person doing it. A priest said also he cured schizophrenia through exorcism but may be dangerous. If want to try search google for "florence arizona monastery" first result , click contact us and ask about where to do exorcism or if needed. Father Ephraim from there is very good go and speak withhi
Sometime schizophrenia as any ilness may appear from nowhere as any sickness without the person doing anything. May I ask if the person having the sickness did any of this: spiritism, magic, hinduism, yogam budhism? In many cases this is not the case.
This is quit interesting. Most of the schizophrens in hospital have the bible at their night stand. And leave in fear. It looks as the disease progress they have more psychotic episodes as well as brain tissue damage. Depression and anxiety, which are common in schizophrenia, induce irreversible neuronal damage. Can't imagine a budhist with schizophrenia unless there is a wrong diagnosis.
budhists may mingle with spirits too . Stay away from budhism, hinduism, yoga, rei ki, tai ki and such.. Search google for "buddhist magic black". Whomever plays with magic and spirits is in danger of getting spirit posession hence anxiety and such.

To escape OCD you need do this:
1.Every nught read once for 40 days "akathist to Jesus" that contains many times Jesus name that sanctifies mind and throw bad thoughts away. You can find the "akathist to Jesus" searching on google
2.After each Eikos say: God, forgive my sins, unbind the magic done on myself send away the unclean spirits to desert where nothing is living and don't let them come back to us anytime.
As a man, I have a fear every woman on Earth wants to force themselves sexually on me, peak in my windows or even follow me where ever I go. I finally figured out how to live with this disease. What I do now is live in denial.
As a woman, I have a fear for every man on Earth, but I am not in denial...You have to accept yourself for who you are...it's difficult. It took me almost 50 years to do that!!!
avoindance personality traits are a big part in ocd people. the irony is the more one tries to avoid the thought or compulsion, the item is reinforced even more.
for me, it's neatness...order. i don't see anything in my head, it just bugs me enormously when everything looks like it's out of order in the environment aound me. i know it has to be in part due to exert control over my life in a lrgerway, that it's a sort of physical manifestation of a metaphore. but there's a strong emotional component; ssri's can help a lot but i don't like the side effects.
I have intrusive thoughts about some negative comments in the past. I find it hard to move on and stop obsessing about them its really caused me to doubt things and stop believing in myself.
i do suggest writing all those thoughts down and start tapping on each one until there is no strength. Your mind and your thoughts so change your attachments to them. They are all lies anyways so release the emotions and change its meaning. Peace Robert
My problem is that i perform rituals....nightly rituals..before i go to bed...it really bugs me out.
I check if my windows are locked....if the door is locked...if the fridge is closed properly....if the tv switch is off....and i do it a couple of times too...any suggestions to help?
distract yourself when you get the erge. allow yourslf to perform the rituals, but sometimes, just dont do them. THIS IS CRITIAL. You must not do them SOMETIMES. It takes time but slowly youll be able to do them less and less untill no more. I used to have night rituals and thats how I got rid of them.
Ask yourself why you do them - what is the purpose? If it is to decrease anxiety then ask yourself if there is a better way of reducing that anxiety (eg, if it is security to make sure the doors/windows are shut, is there a better way to tap in to feeling secure in your mind rather than a ritual on the outside). Maybe tap on "even though I feel the need to check the doors and windows x times, I feel secure and safe and less anxious and know I can make changes in my life". Good luck.
I suggest pick one obsession and start tapping on what you feel about it and your reaction to it. Notice what it is that is going on in your mind and tap on it until it isn't there. Then imagine not doing the obsession and tap on that reaction. Then do not perform it and notice how it makes you feel and tap on that feeling. Until you feel completely at peace. Stay on one obsession until resolved even if it takes a week or longer. Move to the next one.
Hi Robert thank you for another greate video, I have proved to myself of what EFT can do,and when it didnt come out right it was because i didnt have enough knoledge to hit the right spot of the problem correctly, I only believe of things that realy work and EFT is one of them.
OCD Sufferers- this guy is a quack! The key to healing is to give yourself permission. Permission to feel the feeling the OCD gives terrorizes you with. Permission to give in during some parts of the day, permission to tell the OCD to bring it on. Your OCD is not something you have created, like this asshole says. It is a biochemical mechanism that serves to keep healthy people safe. It is just broken in people with OCD. It torments us, we do not create it! Space limited here- email me!
The only asshole around here is you. Clearly you lack the ability to argue your point without resorting to abuse. It is a proven fact that the mind can and does, trigger numerous biochemical mechanisms and reactions.
I suffer from OCD and bad anxiety. I do EFT but thoughts are coming back and leaving me in huge distress and fear. Its all about WHAT IF???All day long-Repetition of events, checking, worry about what if.How can I eliminate WHAT ifs from my thinking? What to tap on? Thank you!
OCD's major driver is FEAR and wanting to keep control. WHAT IF is one of the major ways to imagine a problem. If you use the WHAT IF in a way that it is better instead of worse. What if a nice thing occured. There is a belief inside you somewhere that supports keeping bad things happening. Which by the way is very common but you have perfected a way to do it in a better way and acting on it. Look for the fear and use your WHAT IFs in a healthier way.
I had severe debilitating OCD for a few years and am now virtually symptom free. This guy has no idea what he is talking about and his recommendation to visualize something other than what your OCD wants will only pour gasoline on the fire. The patient he spoke of had it quite right: the OCD is separate from the patient, and it wants very different things than the patient. The key to healing is to allow yourself to do the compulsion sometimes, and allow yourself not to do it sometimes. Continue-
Many people have cancer and it doesn't make them an authority on curing it. This guy actually does know what he is talking about and just because you disagree, which is fine, doesn't mean he is wrong. You do understand that there are many forms of healing don't you? Or because you had OCD, do you consider yourself to be the No 1 know it all, cure it all OCD expert on the planet.
I've done a bit of the typo deal when I'm typing I'll move the cursor back and then retype the word knowing it's correct. My problem is with OCD reading going over stuff continually.
My current urges consist mainly of believing I have to communicate (i.e. a lot, etc.), fix ALL typos on MSN, do things by certain time, even though there's no reason to do so. Any other people have similar urges?
The problem with me is that I get this crazy idea that the world around me is not real. Which is funny in that I know that I'm just making it all up. The irony is that while I'm hanging on to this idea in my brain, I know that its not valid truth yet I feel compelled to prove it wrong. I would like to say that I had never felt this way, until I saw a movie in which the main character was paralyzed yet believed he was awake. Its a creepy thought that bugs me.
Notice the problem, "I feel the world around me isn't real" then tap on that feeling until it fades and all other times you felt it. That belief is real for you. Remember the character or go back and watch the movie and tap on your part that creates the feeling and tap until you release your creation of the feeling.
yea i had the exact same problem...but mine was from a show called "the truman show"...i felt the world was'nt real...its all a big tv show.....haha......just to let you know...you're not alone
My sister cannot stop pulling out her hair. She has been doing it now for 15 years since she was a teenager. She is so fidgety and she will never sit still. We don't know how to help her. Any advice would be really appreciated. God Bless you for the amazing work you are doing.
I am sure there was something that has occurred that support her issue. Pulling hair is a coping skill. The tapping will lessen the pulling because it will release the physical feelings. But the key is going back to whatever supports her fidgety. It could have been anything that bothered her at the time. I have helped many with that same problem.
I have ocd and I must say this video is great. I do the same when helping others its all about questioning and deconstruction of the cycle, and lableing it. The feeling of and anxiety and guilt keeps the idea so alive. And if a sufferer is up for tackling such behaviors this way then thats great.
You can't have OCD but rather produce it. If you have it then then show it to me or give me five pounds of it because there are some areas I could use it.
these illnesses have a common thread, being creative in a negative bent,,vs a positive theme..i think throwing all your energy into a cognitive approach first is preferred over meds & far safer..
I agree it does start with the depressive skill (some call is an illness) and with rehearsal along with more input they then graduates into a perfected art of major depression
Hi HEALINGMAGIC i have a question i hv OCD and its ruining my life i heard dat some people have success stories dat they had somehow "cured" the procblem. So do u hv ways in which i can cure my OCD too? thx i would really really appreaciate it thx =D
I think the misconception that it is an illness, rather then internal process being used based on learned coping skills. Noticing what you are doing in your mind. Tap on the emotions, movies, sounds you are producing internally. Address all fears until you find peacefulness. Stop believing everything inside your mind & take full ownership. It is all made up. Start loving yourself by being nice to you on all levels. Persistence is your most power skill. Stay with it until it is all clear.
Loving yourself involves many simple but profound behaviors. First practice being nice by thinking and recalling good things, memories, not taking things so personal, and tapping away negative emotions. The nice thing about self esteem is that it comes from self & how you represent self. Releasing negative memories & emotions is one of the best ways of loving self. Start a happy journal & only put happy & good experiences and then re-experience them often as your read them. Forgive yourself.
First of all we do not treat, diagnose or even give medication that is for those who do not know how to make changes. If someone comes to me and want changes then I work to create them. This young man had many diagnoses, years of drugs, and his problems were getting worse then he came to see me. This is when he started getting changes. You can go to #90 I tell even more of his story.
treatment of OCD involves collaboration between doctor and patient when using CBT but it is the patient who does all the changing, of cognitive distortions and belief systems. You think accredited CB Therapists dont know how to create change in these patients?
As you may know I am not in judgement of them but rather I help others change...without drugs or years lying on a couch. I am sure they make changes on some level... I wish them luck and well as myself
you said diagnosis, treatment and medication was for those who dont know how to make changes.CBT is the recommended therapy for OCD and doesnt involve the psychoanalytic approach(the couch lying),it is a relatively short term therapy and would not last 1 year let alone years.
I am no expert in your field but I am familiar with what comes to me & how many years they have been in therapy without any or very little changes. Their problems increased & are heavily drugged. You too are from the mindset that only CBT Therapists can make changes which limits your ability to move beyond your current skills. I am good in my area & my persistence builds understanding & freedom in my clients. I do recommend seeing a therapist, priest, voodoo magician if they work! Keep trying!
Who are you to determine this? Psychiatrists prescribe LOTS of medications. They keep prescribing until something work. Does that sound like they have a real handle on the problem? I don't think so. We can always "mask" the pain and problem with drugs, but Western Medicine has fallen short in terms of cures and preventions. Your ideas are classic "old fashioned" Western Medicine. Lets move into the 21st century, shall we?
That is true tylenol doesn't solve the emotional/stress that supports the pain in the mind because it blocks the neuro-transmitters. That is why headaches come back. If you change the belief system of how they process the world then the headaches disappear unless they choose to worry and take things so personal.
pure bullshit,if it could cure OCD dont you think there would be properly conducted research to prove its effectiveness.Wouldnt that benefit your professions credibility greatly.THere isnt and wont be but people will always choose the easiest most painless route to recovery, they would love to think that your therapy could make them better without significant discomfort of proven methods like CBT delivered by an accredited mental health professional.
This ain't pure bullshit, todays medicine is based on capital, all the doctors are told and all they are telling is nothing but the truth you know. All they do is give you medicine, to treat with the symptoms, here with Eft you go to the root of the problem, where it all starts, and you destroy the real cause, and thats why most of the time it doesn't come back.
no,not individual results which may be influenced by other factors such as placebo, changing environment etc.Blinded randomised crossover protocol and peer reviewed is the gold standard in science.Provide that and then the medical community will consider it.
Look, who gives a flying "F" of what the medical community thinks about this or any other alternative therapy. As another poster stated, results speak for themselves. There is much experience with EFT to support it's value in improving lives. It sures feels better for me when I do it.
people improving despite not because of EFT.When some uses CBT and improves theres proof to back it up,not so with 99%alternative therapies. Results as any educated person knows do not speak for themselves.Thats why proof is needed based upon experiment.
Yes, and these are the same "educated" people who believe the Universe's creation was an act of random events, and not under the direction of a creative intelligence. I guess since no legitimate physicist can come up with a scientific explanation for gravity, and since results don't speak for themselves, we can safely step of a 10th story balcony, and not hurt ourselves. Yes, educated people can be "book smart", but have the common sense of Homer Simpson. Keep thinking that way.
there is no need to find cause to treat the cause in majority of cases cannot be established in OCDand is not relevant.Treat the dysfunctional cognitive patterns and behaviour and most patients will be able to control disorder despite still feeling some anxiety.
All cognitive patterns are driven by emotions (anxiety). You can learn to deal and live with the anxiety (emotions) but you still have the problem. If you change how you represent the issue within your mind then you will not have to deal with it because it is internally changed.
Research on OCD spectrum disorders (properly conducted and reviewed)indicates patents still experience some anxiety their whole lives. You are reducing your credibility with responses like "results speak for themselves".Do you not know how proof is arrived at.Thats the problem with alternative therapies.
Absolutely true and cognition as you well know is the mental functions, mental processes and states mind which are in our control and discovering where the controls are & creating the shifts then your life will change.
Well billysue. I have severe OCD. I have a bunch of random thoughts that I cant get off my mind.
Sometimes I'm in a trans at looking at an object, that I feel that no strategy therapy works. And I cant say if EFT works, but I'm going to be positive and willing to give EFT a try.
Thank you for giving us the power to change our lives!

COntinuing with the comment of athermis, The main point of this is to focus on something else rather than the fearful images u are experiencing. To improve your cognitive processes, exercise is essential because researcher states that it improves your intelligence by expanding and building dendrites of your neurons. This can end your illogical processing of information in the brain and even substantially in conjuction with cognitive control treat a mental health problem.

ZiggyOsiris 1 year ago
@ZiggyOsiris My concern is this. While the techniques taught may be beneficial, the denial of a clinical condition is not. For example, I have tourettes syndrome. While I can suppress tics for some time, there comes a point where I am mentally incapable of not ticcing and they come out even without warning. In countries that recognize tourettes as a behavioral problem, I could be jailed for having corprolalia.
What is your response to this, and how would you apply your techniques to tourettes?
ZiggyOsiris 1 year ago
@ZiggyOsiris Thanks, Ziggy.
ZiggyOsiris 1 year ago
@ZiggyOsiris

The rituals are the issue!
tekdiveraz 1 year ago
I actually agree with health magic because the internal processes occurring within the brain are causing symptoms a person experiences, such as visual illusions the brain creates of seeing somebody in your perspective that doesn't exist in reality (a classic example of shizophrenia). This is scientific. This could relate to ocd because your mind is experiencing a persistent illusion of a dead body being under your car as metioned in this video.
athermis 1 year ago
@ZiggyOsiris Unfortunately, your mind automatically considers a imagination to be real, which is what your mind is using and is considered to be normal. However, if you cannot realize that this image is illogical at first and doesn't make any sense, your mind starts to automatically convert to the idea and it starts to bring upon repetitiveness if not dealt with properly.
athermis 1 year ago
@ZiggyOsiris It is certainly the wiring in your brain that is repsonsible for this and ocd indiviualds tend to have a a specific nerual wiring that is contantly fired causing genreal anxiety, panic attacks and etc to occur. The cause of this is still unknown by scientists, but studies suggest that is could be genetics or it could not. This disoder along with all others is trigger by a specific cause in most cases I believe and generally it is the stress we expereince in life.
athermis 1 year ago
@ZiggyOsiris Stress is not good for the mind unfortunately. Thus, I want to point out that congitive control is very essential to shut down this false circuity in the mind, going along with all disorders. CBT, which ocd sufferes likely heard of is an effective treatment process where you consider your unpleasant impulsive thoughts as a distraction.
athermis 1 year ago
@ZiggyOsiris The main point of this is to focus on something else rather than the fearful images u are experiencing. To improve your cognitive processes, exercise is essential because researcher states that it improves your intelligence by expanding and building dendrites of your neurons. This can end your illogical processing of information in the brain and even substantially in conjuction with cognitive control treat any mental health problem.

i have ocd and i was wondering can ocd make you think your literally more dumb after you do something only a few amount of times that could make you a little bit dumber after you done it at least 100 times becaue like ive been thinking that im a lot dumber to where i feel like i cant speak as well as i use to
gizmozuesodtis 1 year ago
Well it can drive you insane, not dumber :P That's only my opinion though. And use punctuation please.. :D
JohnDoe5X5 1 year ago
OCD is caused by defects in the basal ganglia and white matter abnormalities of the frontal-subcortical circuitry. The disorder can be idiopathic in origin (likely genetic in this case) or caused by trauma such as surgery or any illness with the potential to cause brain damage or an auto-immune response that can cause brain damage.
You cannot make it go away as it has a very physical basis. However certain therapies can reduce severity of the symptoms.

My mind just doesn't let go and won't move on and I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.
rjisinspired 2 years ago
I don't think anybody have experienced my OCD case. This is how it works: For example, I think about how to cure my OCD, and in my mind i get like two different answers or solutions (solution of "curing" my OCD), but the thing is this is basicly an OCD symptom itself, and because i can't find the answer, the thought never leaves my mind peacefully. I KNOW IT'S CRAZY!!!
ANY IDEA???

IoanRomania09 2 years ago
This is quit interesting. Most of the schizophrens in hospital have the bible at their night stand. And leave in fear. It looks as the disease progress they have more psychotic episodes as well as brain tissue damage. Depression and anxiety, which are common in schizophrenia, induce irreversible neuronal damage. Can't imagine a budhist with schizophrenia unless there is a wrong diagnosis.
Hellen0 2 years ago
budhists may mingle with spirits too .

If cured in 40 days if possible tell others.

I check if my windows are locked....if the door is locked...if the fridge is closed properly....if the tv switch is off....and i do it a couple of times too...any suggestions to help?
kingnight22 2 years ago
distract yourself when you get the erge. allow yourslf to perform the rituals, but sometimes, just dont do them. THIS IS CRITIAL. You must not do them SOMETIMES. It takes time but slowly youll be able to do them less and less untill no more. I used to have night rituals and thats how I got rid of them.
GsBBoyDan 2 years ago
Ask yourself why you do them - what is the purpose? If it is to decrease anxiety then ask yourself if there is a better way of reducing that anxiety (eg, if it is security to make sure the doors/windows are shut, is there a better way to tap in to feeling secure in your mind rather than a ritual on the outside). Maybe tap on "even though I feel the need to check the doors and windows x times, I feel secure and safe and less anxious and know I can make changes in my life". Good luck.
portantwas 2 years ago
I suggest pick one obsession and start tapping on what you feel about it and your reaction to it. Notice what it is that is going on in your mind and tap on it until it isn't there. Then imagine not doing the obsession and tap on that reaction. Then do not perform it and notice how it makes you feel and tap on that feeling. Until you feel completely at peace. Stay on one obsession until resolved even if it takes a week or longer. Move to the next one.

Hi Robert!
Thank you!
ladybird717 3 years ago

Hi Robert.
AmebixDistortion 3 years ago
Notice the problem, "I feel the world around me isn't real" then tap on that feeling until it fades and all other times you felt it. That belief is real for you. Remember the character or go back and watch the movie and tap on your part that creates the feeling and tap until you release your creation of the feeling.

zaniestlove 3 years ago
I am sure there was something that has occurred that support her issue. Pulling hair is a coping skill. The tapping will lessen the pulling because it will release the physical feelings. But the key is going back to whatever supports her fidgety. It could have been anything that bothered her at the time. I have helped many with that same problem.

MechPhantom 3 years ago
I think the misconception that it is an illness, rather then internal process being used based on learned coping skills. Noticing what you are doing in your mind. Tap on the emotions, movies, sounds you are producing internally. Address all fears until you find peacefulness. Stop believing everything inside your mind & take full ownership. It is all made up. Start loving yourself by being nice to you on all levels. Persistence is your most power skill. Stay with it until it is all clear.
HealingMagic 3 years ago
k thx i really really appreaciate it but can u tell me some techniques how to " LOVE MYSELF" cuase i find it hard as my self-esteem is very very low
MechPhantom 3 years ago
Loving yourself involves many simple but profound behaviors. First practice being nice by thinking and recalling good things, memories, not taking things so personal, and tapping away negative emotions. The nice thing about self esteem is that it comes from self & how you represent self. Releasing negative memories & emotions is one of the best ways of loving self. Start a happy journal & only put happy & good experiences and then re-experience them often as your read them. Forgive yourself.

OCD is not the territory of a life coach/NLP practitioner. Its for a psychiatrist to diagnose and treat with therapy and medication if necessary.
billysue2 3 years ago
First of all we do not treat, diagnose or even give medication that is for those who do not know how to make changes. If someone comes to me and want changes then I work to create them. This young man had many diagnoses, years of drugs, and his problems were getting worse then he came to see me. This is when he started getting changes. You can go to #90 I tell even more of his story.
HealingMagic 3 years ago
treatment of OCD involves collaboration between doctor and patient when using CBT but it is the patient who does all the changing, of cognitive distortions and belief systems. You think accredited CB Therapists dont know how to create change in these patients?
billysue2 3 years ago
As you may know I am not in judgement of them but rather I help others change...without drugs or years lying on a couch. I am sure they make changes on some level... I wish them luck and well as myself
HealingMagic 3 years ago
you said diagnosis, treatment and medication was for those who dont know how to make changes.CBT is the recommended therapy for OCD and doesnt involve the psychoanalytic approach(the couch lying),it is a relatively short term therapy and would not last 1 year let alone years.
billysue2 3 years ago
I am no expert in your field but I am familiar with what comes to me & how many years they have been in therapy without any or very little changes. Their problems increased & are heavily drugged. You too are from the mindset that only CBT Therapists can make changes which limits your ability to move beyond your current skills. I am good in my area & my persistence builds understanding & freedom in my clients. I do recommend seeing a therapist, priest, voodoo magician if they work! Keep trying!
HealingMagic 3 years ago
Who are you to determine this? Psychiatrists prescribe LOTS of medications. They keep prescribing until something work. Does that sound like they have a real handle on the problem? I don't think so. We can always "mask" the pain and problem with drugs, but Western Medicine has fallen short in terms of cures and preventions. Your ideas are classic "old fashioned" Western Medicine. Lets move into the 21st century, shall we?

take for example a tylenol for a headache, it only cures the symptoms, and not the emotion or stress behind the that really causes it...
misseptember 3 years ago
That is true tylenol doesn't solve the emotional/stress that supports the pain in the mind because it blocks the neuro-transmitters. That is why headaches come back. If you change the belief system of how they process the world then the headaches disappear unless they choose to worry and take things so personal.
HealingMagic 3 years ago
pure bullshit,if it could cure OCD dont you think there would be properly conducted research to prove its effectiveness.Wouldnt that benefit your professions credibility greatly.THere isnt and wont be but people will always choose the easiest most painless route to recovery, they would love to think that your therapy could make them better without significant discomfort of proven methods like CBT delivered by an accredited mental health professional.
billysue2 3 years ago
This ain't pure bullshit, todays medicine is based on capital, all the doctors are told and all they are telling is nothing but the truth you know. All they do is give you medicine, to treat with the symptoms, here with Eft you go to the root of the problem, where it all starts, and you destroy the real cause, and thats why most of the time it doesn't come back.
misseptember 3 years ago
The Tapping process does create mental shifts since all problems are internal representations. Images, sounds, and mostly FEELINGS/EMOTIONS.
HealingMagic 3 years ago
the tapping is a fraud ,present peer reviewed research to prove otherwise. The burden of proof is on you who makes the outlandish claim.
billysue2 3 years ago
Results speak for themselves and it is all internal process.
HealingMagic 3 years ago
no,not individual results which may be influenced by other factors such as placebo, changing environment etc.Blinded randomised crossover protocol and peer reviewed is the gold standard in science.Provide that and then the medical community will consider it.
billysue2 3 years ago
Look, who gives a flying "F" of what the medical community thinks about this or any other alternative therapy. As another poster stated, results speak for themselves. There is much experience with EFT to support it's value in improving lives. It sures feels better for me when I do it.
edwong3 3 years ago
people improving despite not because of EFT.When some uses CBT and improves theres proof to back it up,not so with 99%alternative therapies. Results as any educated person knows do not speak for themselves.Thats why proof is needed based upon experiment.
billysue2 3 years ago
Yes, and these are the same "educated" people who believe the Universe's creation was an act of random events, and not under the direction of a creative intelligence. I guess since no legitimate physicist can come up with a scientific explanation for gravity, and since results don't speak for themselves, we can safely step of a 10th story balcony, and not hurt ourselves. Yes, educated people can be "book smart", but have the common sense of Homer Simpson. Keep thinking that way.
edwong3 3 years ago
you cant explain it since a plausible explanation doesnt exist
billysue2 3 years ago
there is no need to find cause to treat the cause in majority of cases cannot be established in OCDand is not relevant.Treat the dysfunctional cognitive patterns and behaviour and most patients will be able to control disorder despite still feeling some anxiety.
billysue2 3 years ago
All cognitive patterns are driven by emotions (anxiety). You can learn to deal and live with the anxiety (emotions) but you still have the problem. If you change how you represent the issue within your mind then you will not have to deal with it because it is internally changed.
HealingMagic 3 years ago
Research on OCD spectrum disorders (properly conducted and reviewed)indicates patents still experience some anxiety their whole lives. You are reducing your credibility with responses like "results speak for themselves".Do you not know how proof is arrived at.Thats the problem with alternative therapies.
billysue2 3 years ago
emotions are driven by cognition which in turn produce behaviour.
billysue2 3 years ago
Absolutely true and cognition as you well know is the mental functions, mental processes and states mind which are in our control and discovering where the controls are & creating the shifts then your life will change.
sixpakrob 3 years ago
actually emotions result from thoughts which drive behavior.
billysue2 3 years ago
Thoughts are a result of recorded life experiences which in turn it produce emotions and behaivors
