  • I a just learning ASL and my assignment was to look up deaf vlogs. I am very glad I stumbled upon yours because it is a story about a real person. I read alot of stories about hypothetical situations but not alot of real things. I am glad to hear your story. Thank you for sharing

  • This is one of the most amazing stories that I have ever heard! You are truly a survivor. You seemed to have had a great support system standing behind you. I am currently an asl student, and really love that you have taken up asl as a language. I have a sister that is deaf, and she is the one who had taught me most of the signs I had known before I got to college. Looking back on your life what would you decide for yourself now when it comes to your education preference?

  • I am working towards becoming an interpreter and I am watching vlogs to help with my receptive skills. Thank you for putting your text down. I checked it after I watched your story and I got almost all of it from watching you! Loved learning about your experiences. Thank you for posting.

  • I really enjoyed that. Thanks so much for posting!

  • God bless you to be alive today! Three times, that's a lot! Keep up with the great work on your videos! :D

  • That's amazing! Your heart stopped three times during surgery as an infant and you survived! The world must have big plans for you. =)

    This was great. Your signing is very clear and easy to understand.

  • I wish i knew more sign language :-(

  • I'm deaf and had mild CP like you do. I was born hearing frist then became deaf due much of medicne. I did graduated from high school with 3.5 or more GPA, I able to drive my own truck and have driver licinese Great for ya!

  • I am hearing, but I also have CP and am teaching myself as much ASL as I can until I can get into classes. I just wanted to say how great it is to see someone so much like me signing. I haven't seen many people with CP who sign so I was very excited to see this....Thanks for posting mate!

  • Good goal against Liverpool mate, well done.

  • Good story, I also almost did not make it in this world. When I was a baby,I was alergic to my mother's milk and so my parents took me to doctor and the only milk I was able to drink without bomitting was goat's milk. Which save my life.

  • Great video. I was born deaf.

  • good story! u r the man! ;)

  • Well I'll be damned! I thought you fell off the face of the earth! I used to work with you at BMC eons ago...Wendy. Anyway, hope all is well. Y'all should know this is one of the smartest people I've ever met- no question....

  • wow good story about your born deaf

  • I am studying ASL. This is my second term. I was fascinated with your story. I didn't understand all the signs, but I read in the description what I didn't understand. Thank you for sharing that with us.

  • Hi! I'm also deaf and mild celebral palsy from birth. My parents knew signs very little but I can read lips pretty well. I'm only person in family who has disabilty. I went to mainstream school with interpreter then attended Gallaudet University in Wasington DC. It was worth experience up there since I learned alot about deaf culture and met few CP/Deaf students. I'm now living in Florida and working as medical adminstrative assistant at Eglin AFB hospital for 3 years.

  • Wait to go buddy! :D You seem like a smart guy :)

  • Thanks Wes!

  • Hi Wes! I liked your video very much and was easily able to follow along with the text. Thanks for posting this!

  • {faces StonedLaughter}

    "human talk like english"??? Okay, let's remove everything you know about spoken english and your sense of hearing, and see how you do. All of a sudden being able to communicate with your hands comes in handy, doesn't it?

  • He doesn't have the name StonedLaughter for nothing, does he?

  • {faces Wes Brown}

    I like the ASL!!! Congratulations on your graduation! Forgive us hearies for all the pain in the posterior we can be, hopefully more of us will knock it off and learn the local natural Sign Language.

    /Also like your long hair. :)

  • plz explain wat da fk you said in human talk like english, because i dont know why you movin ur hands around like that, why not just talk, BY THE WAY this is MY ASL, 20, MALE, AUSTRALIA.

  • ASL is American Sign Language you dunce. He's moving his hands because that's how sign language is...hence SIGN language. Usually people who are born deaf don't speak very well, so that's probably why he isn't just talking and if you were half way intelligent you could see that he translated it for those of us who don't know sign language.

    Educate yourself before you go posting idiotic stuff like that.

  • My read level are bad. I like to read, because many pictures in my head from the book. You are good reader. keep read!

  • I enjoyed that very much! I'm a level 2 asl student and I found you very easy to understand. Thanks for sharing. :-)

  • I agree 100%. I'm still learning sign language but this was very easy to keep up with.

    Thank you!! (:
