Even though I consider this a weak episode compared to George Sander's "Instant Freeze" and Otto Preminger's "Green Ice," I'll say this for it. It does have interesting double play. (As well as a telephone conversation where Adam and Burt have to talk on the telephone concerning their secrets.)
But Elli Wallach's Mr. Freeze is nowhere near that of George Sanders or Otto Preminger.
This was the final episdoe of seaon 2. And we can see the terrible 3rd season coming here.
They should have ended it with Batman and Robin positioned motionless with alittle snow on their heads and faded outfits. As Mr freeze say's "They are Beginning to Frost up already!"
Some trivia about the usher at the ice show who tells Bruce Wayne he has a call. That's Ron Riley, who was night jock superstar at WLS in Chicago in the mid-60's. He then was a longtime weather personality in the Baltimore & Washington markets.
Yes, each episode has these, they are called "Dutch Angles", and are done intentionally, to illustrate the "crookedness" of the villains, and each villain's lair is slightly different in terms of its angle.
Nice touch of humanity there when Mr. Freeze is implementing his death trap! You'll notice that he starts to fiddle with it, starts to talk to Glacia, then notices there's something wrong with the device and fixes it. It's like with the Joker in "Batman" when asked what he wanted. The question caught him off guard and he had to think about the answer before replying, "My face on the one dollar bill."
I'd fall for Mr. Freeze and I'm a straight man. Who am I kidding, I just wanna meet Eli Wallach. He's so freakin' awsome! Most ppl think Eastwood is the most badass. I say Lee Van Cleef is the most badass, then Wallach, and Clint is last.
THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT ELIZABETH THE 2ND! MAYBE KATE MIDDLETON WILL BE CALLED QUEEN CATHERINE!

Robin, you know nothing of England's government. You're disowned from Wayne Manor.
