  • lmao. nice

  • lame

  • 174 people are commbank anz and westpac employies

  • Don't want to make a scene? Look who's freaking talking...

  • Who would expect a somewhat professional organisation to humiliate their competitors just to seek more attention? Sorry NAB but I just don't buy it, in fact, I think it is childish and disrespectful.

    Fact:

Quote from your break up letter: "At least I'm trying to be a better bank for my customers"

    NAB telephone trading hours: 7am - 9pm

Other 3 major banks: 24 Hours

  • @smirfy86 Lmaooo I think this is one of the ANZ or Comm Or Westpac Employees

  • @smirfy86 Lmaooo I think this is one of the ANZ or Comm Or Westpac Employees

  • Thumbs up if you're only watching this for your rhetoric class.

  • More dislikes than likes, marketing scam? :S

  • @Charusho no, marketing scheme :P :P

  • what the eff?

  • You say you have changed, but so have I. I own a good business now. I earn in excess of $4000 a week and, yes you guessed it, I can buy my little daughter's medication on time, all the time. But you had to make it difficult for me, you hurt me when you call me now and ask me politely if I am interested in a Term Deposit. I would like to, but how can I after all we've been through? You just don't play fair.

Therefore, I have no option but to say farewell -- Goodbye.

    You'll always be remembered.

  • I found out that you were having it on with the rich business guys to whom you were giving all the overdrafts and advances. I felt cheated.. I mean, after all, it was me who worked hard and long to earn wages to keep with you as deposits. I know it wasn't much, but it was all I had.

  • Dear NAB,

This is really difficult comment for me to write, but I think you need the feedback, and why not! - you're entitled to it.

Recently, I have been feeling like I'm abandoned, misunderstood, mistreated and, more importantly, mis-trusted. Specially that day when I rang you and asked for a small $90 advance so that I can buy medicine for my little girl 4 days before my pay was to go in my account, but you said you couldn't. You know, I kind of understood and took what you said until...

  • WTF?! I can't find a functional nab bank when I need it most. -_- Please don't be so hypocritical and practice what you preach. Install more nab atms and make them WORK.

  • So what is NAB trying to say? That the big banks colludded together?

CBA still has the best on line site though.

  • Sorry guys... I still don't love you. It's no me, it's you.

  • It's just sad how many people are going to actually believe any of that as though it wasn't biased. When were those banks working together anyway?

  • ACCC, you-hoo, where are you guys?

  • Dear NAB,

If you really want people to believe that you are different from the other banks then you must prove it by being significantly different. Not marginally, SIGNIFICANTLY.

If you neglect to take this approach your actions will be perceived as nothing more than a typical bank scam.

As the ancient saying goes "You shall know them by their fruit."

I am looking forward to your next move.

  • try and get a personal loan from these guys. no chance

  • a bunch of bankers

  • hahaha

  • test

  • Thumb up if you felt misled by the thumbnail.

  • lol...

  • o_O

  • Talk is cheap! Let's just see what happens in the run!

  • Lol this is funny

  • *Closes CommBank account*

  • Can i use this to break up with my girlfriend?

  • What a load of garbage nab has a long way to go to get any brownie points. In the early 2000's when many farmers where in drought they cleansed their books of rural lending - exit farmers. We remember

  • You're not supposed to use the word and at the beginning of a sentence.

  • Yeah okay NAB. This makes you look really cool and awesome, not like a whiny attention seeking billion-dollar company at all.

  • i nearly cried

  • Technical stuff up leaving clients without access to pay for a week, and careless disposal of clients sensitive data in skip bins...yeah i'll be breaking up with you too!

  • I am joining NAB from CBA as a protest over the .45 points increase in their interest rates late last year , nearly doubling the RBA increase.. they have a hide to do this and think customers will forget, not me. I am voting with my feet.

  • CBA is like a stalking ex-girlfriend that you have to take an AVO out on.

  • sweet ad

  • kbro

  • 2nd post. cul vid.

  • westpack, commbank and anz just got served

  • that was such a buuuuuuuuuuuurn

  • Can i haz ur handwritting ?

  • I want him to right my essays :D

  • so what does this mean for me as a nab customer

  • if i'm one of those banks, it would feel like "Bam.. in your face.."

  • That was so insensitive!! Imagine how much icecream those banks have had to go through!!

  • 105 people aren't with nab

  • How much did they pay OrwellWasRight1984 to say that?

  • ?

    ;kljnohonl

  • Change a few details and BAM the best break up letter you can give her :P

  • Dude, every banks are the same!

  • could have been a little more creative. writing a letter?

  • How melodramatic. Entertaining though.

  • wat? lol

  • i was so into that, i didn't even realise that it has been two minutes already! o.0

  • i like suncorp

  • Agreed.

If you want to get ahead .. don't bank with a bank!

What the banks have been offering - sweet talking their customers, I have been enjoying for more than a decade from my local - member owned, equally underwritten, secure credit union.

  • This is just marketing. Poorly done BTW as ->

Breaking up? Were they together? Is that legal? Is this an admission? ACCC !

All banks want to appear different but at the end of the day we know what they really are.

  • Hooray 2nd comment!!!

  • I'm happy with Commonwealth.

I pay verrry low fees, and they are the only Australian bank (I've seen) that has an ATM in Bali. Several in-fact.

Yes, they do group ATMs together in Australia, but it cuts down the wait.

Oh, not to mention they have the best online banking I've seen in comparison to my friends, the managers always have time to discuss what I want to know in-store and so many other benefits.

NAB is better than most, but I wouldn't change to it.

    Commonwealth is the best bank.

  • Hmmm only one comment? Looks like moderators have been busy. All this advert does is openly admit to people that NAB was in cohorts with the other banks. Why else would they be "breaking up" with them. No doubt this comment wont be approved ;)

  • Only one comment?

  • Long piece of paper..

  • That is a long piece of paper

  • cute,

  • They are still "one of the big four banks". Only their marketing department is trying a different 'stunt'. Time will pass and we still look upon them as "one of the big four banks.

  • haha love it even tho im ANZ i still love it :p

  • how the hell did it get 22,794 views with only 1 comment?????????

  • #LOL this is the most interesting bank advertisement i've ever seen HAHA :) And so emotional ...

  • NEAT WRITING! lololol

  • Wonder how much the bank paid to get it on the front page...

  • why is this trending

  • i thought i'd comment as this video had only 1 other comment and 21,344 views..

  • Nice.

  • This is awesome ! Good work Nab LOL

  • This is a great marketing campaign... Love it.

  • LMFAO!

  • Pass the bucket...

  • 0.0 I never knew they were even together

  • Second Comment. :D

  • I wish i could write that neat :(

  • hmmm yes i agree

  • Good stuff NAB, way to stay independant

  • wish i could write that neat...

  • Talk about sensation

  • How long is that piece of paper? Seriously..

  • well done nab i know nothing about banking, but i love this

  • its an ad

  • nicely put.

  • Is this legal?

  • This is why my bank rules.

  • that guy has amazingly good hand writing!!

  • 21k views with 1 comment. 2 now :)

  • lol

  • 21,344 views and 1 comment, What?

  • thought this was going to be funny :(

  • Yeah... nah.

  • I love you nab

  • Hello, why only 1 comment?

  • this person has brilliant handwriting! its so straight!

  • WoW, Glad i'm not with NAB!

  • Meh, i'm with commbank. This just makes me want to stay with commbank even more.

  • Such neat hand writing..

  • lol

  • we still hate the big 4 banks

  • He has nice handwriting.

  • woohooo!

  • Mostly true. Good on NAB for abolishing those annoying fees. To really win people over NAB should abolish the $2.00 fee that they charge to customers of *other* banks who use their ATM's (that would win them over some new customers I reckon).

However II hate it when I use my NAB card at another ATM and get slugged $2.00. I have to suffer this $2 indignity a lot more now since the my local NAB ATM got removed! (Albert Park, in December 2010)

  • ROFL pretty smart campaign, taking note this was released the day after Valentines haha. Cant wait to see what the other bank's reaction to this.

  • hahaha! love it!

  • i wanna girl :(

  • The NAB is a joke.

  • 1:42

    Sums up everything

  • ohh nab that was so cute, hope you have a good future!!

  • so many comments..

  • get real people.... NO bank or insurance company is on your (consumers) side

  • nice handwriting. :)

  • Psft, whatever NAB, your just as bad as all the other banks.

  • so wat can we say lol hmmm a dear john letter to the bank. lol wat next.

  • What a load of marketing crap.

NAB still has committments to their share holders. We will still see them turn over increased profits every year. They may drop variable interest rates, but they will recoup elsewhere, most likely staff cuts and big buisness fees.

You may have broken up with the other banks, but you will realise life was better with them and go crawling back, or you have a relationship behind everyones back, friends with benifits.

  • lame ad is lame. I can think of ten thousand better idea's than this for your bank. Your advertising agency sucks..

  • more take less give

  • More Take....Less Give isn't it Nab ...LOL !

  • thats a really nice handwriting

  • lol...

  • Yeah, because YouTube needs more ads.

  • I think they should abolish fees on their ATMs and I might take them seriously.

  • Is the NAB admitting that it was colluding with ANZ, Comm and Westpac? Is this something that NAB is being intentionally glib about?

  • Why is this in News & Politics???

  • amazing handwriting.

  • so this is what advertising has come to?

  • bs this is trending!

  • Haha, I love being a nab customer :D

  • lol

  • Lets just see who really wins out off this in the long run the banks or Australians ?

  • I really i liked the way it is done and read..the voice and the filming

Of course, i will look into the content of this message as i have recently become the new customer with NAB before seeing this !

  • HAHAHA! Total awesomeness!

  • The Ads is falling hehind....It's awkward when the letter started with a Male VOice and the Clip ended up with a Woman dumping a Guy...BIg Mistake :p

  • lol breaking up right on valentine's day

  • Look up Fractional Reserve Banking. Every dollar in circulatiuon has debt behind it. Money is created out of thin air by the banks and loaned out at interest. Boom and bust cycles as well as inflation are caused in large part by the banks control over the money supply. The biggest scam in human history.

But at least this Australian bank is trying to be nice to its customers now after decades of ripping them off blind with fees, which is quite nice of them and very emotionally moving LOL.

  • @OrwellWasRight1984 haah this comment has the same amount of likes the video does XD

  • @OrwellWasRight1984 are you from Australia ?

  • @OrwellWasRight1984 boom & bust cycles are controlled by the RBA.

  • @OrwellWasRight1984

    Banks for that !

  • This is Mental
