The only reason to disparage poor service is from a business sense perspective. If you pay your workers more to be cheerful, they will be cheerful and the business will make more money.
I was a waiter once. I spent 4-5 weeks smiling at the ponsy motherfucking scum that frequented the restaurant. Never got a tip or a smile back. I didn't whine and I never worked slow, argued with the other staff or even badmouth the egomaniacal boss that insisted I wear some uniform 'shoes' that my doctor advised against because I had 7 blisters and my toes were being fucking deformed. Then I was fired for what boiled down to be a bad case of acne. I spat in her face. I recommend this a lot.

Those people reviewing restaurants are such knobs. What are they expecting, it's an eating establishment, not a Butlins. They're not supposed to do child entertainment.
That fucking bitch, a majority of people who go to restaurants are pleasant, happy and generally looking to have a nice meal...but cunts like her (and there are many of them) go out of their way to belittle the people that work there. They don't want a nice meal, they want to test you and take out the accumulated anger and frustration of their sad little lives on those who work fucking hard for fuck all.
I see no evidence for particularily bad customer service in this country - I'd guess about 1/15 people who serve me in shops is a bit surly or snotty, which isn't bad going.
You can see one of those waitresses IS smiling underneath all that pixelation, so that programme's just making it up anyway. I mean, a show that sets out to reveal bad customer service is going to find a way to deliver that anyway, no matter what it really finds.
actually julia you fucking bitch, not all retaurants automatically add a service charge. you have to check as it should be somewhere on the menu if they do. i spent 8 years working full and part time in restaurants and most people are cunts to the staff, also kids should never be allowed in restaurants either,if you want your little cunty child to eat then fuck off to mcdonalds or kfc.
