My Brother in law Jim was a Police Motorcyclist around that time and said it was his first Police bike. He ended up with a K100RT. I just bought a green/black one the other day. You can still get the riders booklet and tooklit for them!
We had the R100RTIC (touring integrated cockpit), a variant of the R100RT as Highway Patrol bikes (Sydney, Australia) from around 1980 until 1986, when we changed to the K100RTIC. A very comfortable machine as a police bike but not exactly quick. Flat out the bikes would do 164kph when redlining in 4th gear. Drop them into 5th and the speed dropped to 158kph (the engine/transmission didn't have the mechanical advantage of pushing that big fairing through the air).
hoi colhas, klopt het wat de australier zegt? dat ze te weinig vermogen hebben ?
Heb je tips waar je op moet letten bij aankoop? de meeste hebben al nabij een ton gedraait..
