Im a 17 year old male and my girlfriend just showed me this vid because my heart does this after smoking a bit of weed according to her and shes getting worried about it, but mines a lot faster and it pounds harder and does more skips, so im just wondering iff thats normal????
Actually, a person's heart can beat faster than 300 bpm, in cases of supraventricular tachycardia, which is ALWAYS considered a life-threatening arrhythmia. In the last few months alone, I saw one gentleman with a heart rate of 300, who had WPW, one unfortunate young lady who went into torsades, and had a heart rate of 320, and a couple of cases of plain old PSVT which were around 300-320.

Isn't there also irreversible damage to the heart at that point (not saying people die every time from the damage caused; just to clarify)
To: SonySasuke....NO one's heart goes 250 and 200 at rest PERIOD. Lance Armstrong's heart goes around 220 but he is climbing a mountain on a bike and he has to face lactic acid produced by his body, adrenaline and high altitude. You would die with 6 to 12 hours. You're full of shit!!
