There are a lot of songs sung by Darlene that are sung in churches today.. maybe there are just not so many female song writers and singers who rise up. :) A lot of barlow girl songs are kinda meant for individual music? But there are also a lot of wonderful BG songs for worship like thoughts of You,,it's just about how the worship leader gets the revelation of the song to actually use it on services.
I agree, but some churches take this to terrible extremes and start singing love songs for worship. A basic rule I use is to see what the song is about. I don't consider a song to be Christian until I see Christ and what He did for us on the cross explicitly in the lyrics.
Same thing goes for Christian artists, sadly, some need to end their lukewarmness and see where they truly are. (Not saying Barlow Girl's non-Christian or anything).

You'll be drawn by what is true, what is authentic. :) And that's what it really is about: not rules to memorize but a Father to be with. :) It's amazing when you experience it yourself like tasting a chocolate yourself. @birdstuckinchimney That is not converting , I just shared the love of christ by telling him/her that if you want to accept Jesus than follow him. It worked because the user name said that thanks for not trying to convert me.. If I were to say "you are going to hell if you don`t believe, just believe in Jesus and not anything else that would be me trying to convert, but the bible says a soft answer turn away wrath. If we are that light, people would see without forcing our beliefs on anyone.

2) You imply that God is devinely guiding the events of aitannaa's life and therefore it would be bad to resist
3) You explicitly state that your God Him/Herself wants aitannaa to convert
You need to get honest with yourself dude. There's no shame in trying to convert someone, but there is shame in pretending you aren't when you quite obviously are.

I told his/her that God wants to have a relationship with his/her, accept Jesus in your heart and you be whole. How exactly is that converting? I did not imply anything, don`t twist my words to make you sound right. If I was trying to convert someone, I would have never said "not trying to convert", I know what I said, case closed.

My intention was to show the love of Christ without forcing my beliefs on anyone. I have find out that if you just tell people about Christ without trying to covert, they would come easily and it would`nt be a dispute.

@bowiehs Wanting to see people share something that you have found to be life changing and precious, is a good and healthy thing. In other words trying to "convert someone" is perfectly natural, so go for it I say, but, as you say, do it from a basis of love and genuine concern for the other person.

Religion just beats people to death. Jesus says "follow me". He will heal all the wounds that religion puts on people! He FREES us! He restores us. People look at Jesus as a RELIGIOUS burden instead of seeing that He does you the biggest SPIRITUAL favor ever!

@birdstuckinchimney What??? You used the "Douay-Rheims" Translation in one and then another version for the other one, which you quoted wrong by the way! Of course they're going to use word "convert" that way. That is not the version I use and RIGHTFULLY so! In Romans CHAPTER 16 verse FIVE (not 3), the Apostle Paul is using this term to announce LEAVING a religion and following Christ! A chosen term they would "get".... obviously YOU don't.

@songhel Are a lot of of women actually makes songs for congregational worship? There are a lot of songs sung by Darlene that are sung in churches today.. maybe there are just not so many female song writers and singers who rise up. :) A lot of barlow girl songs are kinda meant for individual music? But there are also a lot of wonderful BG songs for worship like thoughts of You,,it's just about how the worship leader gets the revelation of the song to actually use it on services.

I agree, but some churches take this to terrible extremes and start singing love songs for worship. A basic rule I use is to see what the song is about. I don't consider a song to be Christian until I see Christ and what He did for us on the cross explicitly in the lyrics.
Same thing goes for Christian artists, sadly, some need to end their lukewarmness and see where they truly are. (Not saying Barlow Girl's non-Christian or anything).
