  • which one is similar with X7?

  • now that steelseries is offering free teflon feet for the kana would you recommend it more?

  • @G0KartMozart360 Yes, and I've just plugged my Kana back in. I am awaiting my mouse feet. :P

  • really if you compare this mouse to another optical mice , which one has the most precise optical sensor?

  • @HDtoka Compared to what optical sensor? There are a lot. Compared to a Deathadder, the Deathadder will be better. Compared to an Intellimouse 1.1, I would go with the Kana.

  • I have a question! Is it possible to set up macros like "jump to next title" or "play/pause" on the side buttons? I had that on my Razer Deathadder, loved it. But it got some kind of Razer STD so I have to toss that one in the trash :P

  • @Jumpingplayer Not with the supplied software, but there are third-party software programs that can macro to key bindings. :P

  • @EthanNixon Ah good, thank you very much! Will order my Kana in the next hour :D

  • In the specs it says teflon feet??

  • @madedownunder In the specs of all SteelSeries mice, they say they have UPE teflon. You have to be careful with companies and how they word things. UPE teflon means there is a combination of plastic and teflon. What they don't tell you is the ratio of teflon to plastic. It could be 1/3, 3/1, 1/1, etc. There is definitely more plastic than teflon in the Kana skates. There is definitely more teflon than plastic in the Kinzu v2 Pro skates. Just be careful, and that's why I do these reviews.

  • @EthanNixon Interesting, thanks for sharing.

  • Omrons are also preferred over TTC's because TTC's feel worser!

  • @MadCrokodile1 That's subjective, just like teflon mouse feet. Omrons last longer, which is factual. :P

  • @EthanNixon Well, I don't know anyone (and I think there is no one) who prefers plastic mouse feet and TTC switches over teflon mouse feet and Omrons switches which both last much longer and feel much better than previously mentioned.

  • @MadCrokodile1 Omrons vs TTC vs others (ZOWIE) is completely subjective. Some last longer, some don't. The actual resistenace is completely subjective, just like what kind of switch mechanical keyboar users prefer. As for teflon vs plastic, also subjective. Plastic lasts a whole lot longer than teflon, not sure why you think otherwise. Plastic is slower, whereas teflon is faster. There are plenty of people who prefer slow over quick when it comes to mouse glide.

  • @EthanNixon Except that the plastic provides a shitty glide.

  • @Mnemosyn3 That is subjective, not objective and doesn't belong in a review. SteelSeries is offering free teflon mouse feet for Kana users anyway.

  • @EthanNixon You can sugarcoat it as much as you want, but it's unacceptable for them to sell a mouse with feet like that.

It took them long enough to offer that since those feet were even provided on the prototypes to community OCN members.

  • @Mnemosyn3 The Kana probably went into full production before the guys at OCN received their beta units. That's what companies do, they put products into production when they think it's ready, not when some forum members think it's acceptable.

Some players prefer a slower glide, and plastic does that for you. I won't be changing to the teflon feet most likely, and I hope when I purchase the white Kana it doesn't have teflon feet either.

  • @EthanNixon The point of sending out the earlier production units was to encounter bugs/problems with the mouse and get them fixed before the final one.

If you wanted a slower glide then get larger mouse feet found on the Zowie AM/EC1/2.

    You're a masochist.

  • @Mnemosyn3 Name one thing that was changed before the final version was produced that was recommended by the few OCN members? Omron switches? Teflon Mouse Feet? Pixel Jumping Bug? Multi-Colored Mouse Pad Malfunction?

Nothing was changed in the final version, everything came after mass production, which clearly means the mouse was already being produced. It doesn't take a moron to realize that.

I'm done responding to your single-minded shit comments.

  • @Mnemosyn3 Kid, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this video is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

  • which is the mouse that you like less (sensei kana and kinzu) ?

and if you dont want it GIVE IT TO ME :D

  • @SuperWeedPower Sensei, and no.

  • @EthanNixon huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Just want to ask a quick question.

I mostly play CS, up until now all the mice that I had were in the range of 400-800dpi, would I experience the bug if just play without having to install the SteelSeries engine (simple Plug-and-Play), since I mostly play at Lan cafes and downloading and installing the engine every time would be troublesome.

    Cheers.

  • @tempestpesh Install the drivers to update your firmware, then change your DPI. After that you don't need to install the drivers or use them anymore.

  • you have Steelseries Sensei.

why you buy Kana? is it because you wanted to test it out? or is it for interest?

I saw the Kana that actually has a bug when you play Counter Strike 1.6.

    and one more thing.

did you buy in Steelseries website or Ebay?

  • @Zineter50 I don't buy these products. I clearly show the bug in the review, it has been improved with firmware updates.

  • this mouse is only good for 800dpi or below

  • @R0ssee Yep, I said that...

  • I have Kana mouse and work great for me :D nice shots- in cs :)

  • What goes into your Tests? Wanna learn it so i can do tests of my own to understand if my mouse is what i need.

  • @floted I play games, test for negative/positive acceleration, use Enotus mouse test for max tracking speed and polling rate. Click the links next time for more information, all of it's explained.

  • 6:45 - bug? :o

  • @AndrewFS95 That's the sensor bug with multi-colored mouse pads, as explained in the video.

  • Is this the mouse to buy if you're looking for an updated 1.1? I mean, i got the sensei now but the 5% hardware accel really annoys me. And what about negative and positive accel is it without that, aswell as prediction? And how is it compared to the Zowie AM?

    /nice review, cheers

  • @xargeWIN u can use rinput to fix that

  • @shinjieva You cant fix the 5% accel by using rinput, since its hardware related and not software. But thx :)

  • @xargeWIN There is no prediction, acceleration, or negative acceleration within the malfunction speed. Make sure you read the text review in the comments for a more in-depth review.

  • I sweat a lot when I play, which would you want me to use?...the white one or the black one?

  • @deidara1901 That's personal preference. What material makes my hand sweat, might not make yours sweat. I would choose the white version personally.

  • :D:D u noobs :D
