  • how's the power on this notebook..is the core 2 duo 2.44 with 4gb plenty of power to multi task heavy task. pretty much task such as itunes, streaming video while downloading large files. I am leaving to afghanistan in a few months and need a notebook thats fast but portable. i would like to put a video together with i movie. will this computer and these specs handle this smoothly or good enough?

  • is the intro and the outro made with iMovie?

  • i can only really afford the macbbok thats like £849 (the cheapest one) but this doesn't have the sd slot which i really need because i make stop motion videos with pictures from my camera, is there any way i can get around this problem without spending an extra £150 just for the macbook pro that has a sd slot???????

im not so good with the computer lingo so try to reply in simple terms :)

  • how did u do the title effect?

  • does it work with sony's cameras?

  • Does it work with 8GB PNY SD cards?

  • Michael, I just purchased a 13" MBP but my iMovie is not recognizing my SD card like yours does. Do I have to change the settings or something? Please help.

    Fred

  • @FreddyandTania try formatting the card.

  • @T4ShowVideos hmm...not sure how to do that but i'll look it up, thanks.

  • 45seconds (half your video) is credits and annoying theme music.

  • How come mine doesn't?

    i inserted a 4GB sandisk SD card 30MB/s into a Macbook pro sd card slot 15" 2.66Gz

  • when rendering large movies from imovie at a high quality, does it heat up ur mbp alot? mine gets very hot, other then that normally the temps are very gud...is this normal for rendering movies to have the heat jump up?

  • how much u get the macbook 13 for with imovie ?

  • imovie comes with it

  • You have to check your local Apple retailer store...the cost in the US is diffrent here

  • your voice is creepy~ but thanks

  • Hey, can you check what SATA speed yours is set to? Some sites are saying the new MBP's are capped to 1.5Gib/s instead of the usual 3, which really doesn't make sense as the last gen ones had 3Gib/s and they use the same chipset.

  • Griffin Elevator.

  • I couldn't use a stand on a screen that small, even as a primary screen, i would need at least a 20" monitor.

  • what stand r u using?

  • I actually just add an SD card slot to my 15" 2007 MacBook Pro - I got a cheap 12-in-1 ExpressCard card reader for the ExpressCard slot and it "just works" too. Ultimately the Mac is just seeing the SD card as another device like a USB drive or something, so I would expect this to work.

  • man im disappointed it i wish the sd card sat flat in the macbook so you could keep it in there

  • Good test!

  • Man I want this model for the SD slot....maybe I will wait till Apple announces the brand new grounbreaking update to the MBP in October....the one with a *gasp* 3rd USB port!!!!!!!

  • are you sure there will be another update to the MBP in october?

  • no, he has no idea.

the only thing that might have any ground to it, is that apple has conferences in june and october, WWDC in june and Mac World in october, as far as i know.

if the USB is that big of a problem, get a hub for like 5 bucks at walmart.

  • Hooray!

    Good vid.
