  • I laughed my ass off when it went to Webber "You could be the Phantom" lol

  • Lon Chaney: KILL THE ACTORS!!

Claude Rains: You ever eat with one?

    Lon Chaney: Actually, yes.

    XXXXDDDDDDDD That part killed me!

  • Haha, this is perfect. Also, I must say that my initial response to LND was...

"Damn you, you awful, rotten sell out! You greedy Lord King, did you want to massacre me? Curse you, you dirty Leroux ignorer, you poor adapter, this is a show I'll never see! Damn you...curse you." :)

  • MICHAEL DID GET THE BONE ON THIS ONE!

  • ssooooooooo funny!!!!!

  • hahaha! this is so hilarious!!!! =D

  • great song (by nathan lane, i believe, from the Producers. Excellent play - not so excellent movie adaptation)

  • Wait a minute? This sounds like timon from Lion king?!

  • @optimusprime050995 Because it is. Nathan Lane (the actor singing this song) voiced Timon in "The Lion King". :)

  • LOL

  • This is frickin' brilliant! Wish we knew how Micheal really felt about not getting the movie part. He's such a gentleman, he probably kept the disappointment to himself. Too bad.

  • What a hoot! Very clever! That said, I doubt there ever was serious thought to a sequel, but it was too bad they didn't use MC in the movie. He's such a great actor and human being, he handled it like a gentleman.

  • This is so clever and funny! I love the insertions of Crawford's San Fransisco concert: "We want YOU to play the phantom!"

  • lol Funny! i dont agree with sequel because it was unneccessary and how the original ended was perfect.

  • BRAVO!!!!!

  • I don't really agree with you. However, great video! Truly funny.

  • I know this is Nathan Lane singing but what is this from ?

  • @RosesNightengales It's from the musical "The Producers" and the song is called "Betrayed".

  • xD this made me laugh

  • AMEN son! Boycott the sequell. All I can think about when it comes to 'love never dies' is how dirty I feel at the thought of it! It's got to be the worse premise ever.

And doesn't the title sound like a throwback to a James Bond Film?

  • Crawford is too old to be in the sequel. He's not up to 8 shows a week anymore. He did The Woman in White and he was grateful ALW found him that role. He can live off income from Phantom forever so he won't worry.

I'm sure he'll come to see the sequel

  • There was never any question of his being in the sequel. It's not an issue.

I can't read his mind, but knowing quite a bit about his past words and actions, I'm sure he WON'T come to see the sequel.

He didn't see the 2004 movie, and he had never seen the show itself until ALW almost literally dragged him in to sit in the audience for the Broadway Gala celebrating POTO's passing CATS as the longest running show on Broadway.

  • Even though I think it's too late to declair whether "Love Never Dies" will be a travesty, I did find the" Springtime for The Phantom of The Opera" bit halarious. I'd pay to see that.

  • I'm not totally against the sequel (although I am very nervous about it) but this totally made my day. You're a genius.

  • Lmao, this is amazing! I rofled at "Springtime for The Phaaaaaaaaaaantom of the Opera!" :P

But I think this is how all us phans are feeling right now :/

  • This is an amazing video! It was hilarious, and the music was the right choice! ! !

I am sceptical about this sequel, I mean, if it follows basically the same as the phantom of Manhatten, and if the kid is Erik's son, then when did they DO it?

That's just if it follows that same plot line.

    Meh.

  • YESS!!!! to those who have said its not that bad have you READ the novel its based off? ugh although i;m working my ass to get tick in London only cause its Phantom...but still i cringe. music is beauitful but i still think ALW taking a risk.

  • As we all are and do, I can not wait to get my ticket, *sigh* I love the new phantoms voice, did you hear it yet? to all those who have not look up " Till I hear you sing once more" under "Phantom:Love Never Dies."

  • lol, TheaterRaven, that sequel is not so bad, give it a chance. i still love this one though, lol I love it.

  • Phans unite against the sequel and voice your opinions! The sequel may go ahead but the fans do not have to be silent. Follow LoveShouldDie on Twitter and/or sign up to the brand new Love Should Die fan page on Facebook!

    Necesse est amor mori.

  • Oh my goodness....Christine Daae as his mother? Brilliant! And yes, I have no interest in seeing his sequel. Woman in White had okay parts to his, as did Cat ("Memory" was pretty good, bu that was it) and Aspects of Love had a few songs. Honestly? That man had one good show and then a few good songs. Maybe he should get out of the musical business while he's still got a good name.

  • Say NO to the Phantom sequel! Follow LoveShouldDie on Twitter and send in your comments!

  • Aha more Producers! This is so perfect!!!!!!

  • muwhaha the music is from the movie the producers isn't it?

Such a funny movie but why can't Andrew Lloyd webber try to make this sequel? If you don't like it don't watch it...

And excuse me for my bad english...

  • I just hope that this sequel will flopped. Then maybe Andrew Lloyd Webber will reconsidered to do a musical of The Master & Margarita.

  • You might as well have Gerard Butler singing in this video too, he will not be in the sequel. Kamin Karimloo will be the youngest to play the Phantom, he is only 30. . It will be on London stage next year.

  • Kamin Karimloo will play the Phantom in Love Never Dies.

  • Playbill features The Broadway Sequel-Broadway has had less luck with sequels. Successful plays and musicals have often spawned unsuccessful sequels. Musical sequels are a very risky business. The 1960 smash Bye Bye Birdie In 1981 the creative team behind the show produced a sequel called Bring Back Birdie. Nobody wanted him back, and the musical folded after four performances.

  • Sequels never work for the stage, ALW should know this as a fact. He is desperate because he loss money from The Woman in White on Broadway, The Phantom of the Opera 2004 the movie.

  • Oh my gosh this is so funny...and not just the video, but I clicked on this just thinking that it was gonna be an interview with michael when it was actually one of my favorite songs from the producers, which I was literally JUST IN YESTERDAY....creepy!! And hilarious!!!

  • Wow that was perfect, in everything. Love that ending!

  • OMG IM SO SCARED OF THIS SEQUAL....I LOVE THE PHANTOM AND I THING LLOYD WEBBER IS GENIUS OF 20/21 st. BUT THE SEQUAL???? IM NOT SURE

  • Say no to robo christian LOL why am a laughing it is actualy true O_O

  • You're an absolute genius....well done!

  • So true. The Phantom's NOT supposed to come back after the final lair! That's part of the story!!! ALW please take note.

  • he also isn't sapost to have magical babies be a drug adict and fuck sex dolls.

  • That fits how I feel about it!

  • Amen, and me, too. :)

  • 1:40 to 2:30 is spectacular. But 2:05 takes the cake. I nearly fell off my chair laughing. Along with "Kick turn, turn turn kick turn!"

  • ha ha ha a little wooden boy

  • i was dead of laghing

  • Isn't it Nathan Lane?

  • Yeah, this is Nathan Lane singing. :)

  • sounds pretty reasonable...great song! love it!

  • hahahaha

    wat songs this lol XD

    i reconisge it lol XD

  • The song is called "Betrayed!" and is from the musical "The Producers".

  • thank god lol

i thought it was off lion king cos i was like

    omg timon sed ass

    awesum vid XD

  • kick turn kick turn

I was choking with laughter at that!

  • Very funny.

  • Soo....I take it Michael agrees with Lord Andrew's poor kitty Otto?

  • Yep! :)

  • Wait how did you know about our secret ninja cat mission O_O

  • I'm cat-physicic! ; )

  • you must be silenced!! Just in case you try to warn him of the others!!!

  • Good luck finding me! I have a secret underground lair in Norway!

...Oh dang, now I need a new secret underground lair...

  • We have already found you and have you surounded

  • No! With the help of my newly undead friend Houdini, I have escaped. And now I know where YOU are hiding and I 'attack at dawn with a thousand men!'

    Muhuhahaha!

  • so i shouldn't tell you i haven't been where you though i was and now that i am have returned here you go *drops a possim on you* ^_^ His name is edgare.

  • Ok Michael you may feel betyad but do you really want to be in that peace of shit sequal i mean omg I just found out what that book is about and omg lets put it this way the Argento's version made more sence.... and sounded better...

  • LOL, well said.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know WHAT his feelings are about the sequel, but not only is he in his right state of mind, but he's an ex-Phantom; therefore, I'm sure he knows damned well the sequel's going to be a piece of shit and that it's a disgrace to the first ALW musical and the original Leroux story. Plus, I couldn't resist making this video--the song just fir the situation too perfectly. :)

  • This is very amazing, I would've actually like to see crawford in the "Phantom" sequel, but the Scottish who never sang before took the role. Apparently he was "perfect".

I mean I have nothing against Gerard Butler, but I wasn't expecting a man who never sang to be in the role of the Phantom.

  • The only question I have is why didn't you use Michaels beautiful voice during the Phantom part instead of Butlers. That would have made this video perfect!

  • Well, the reason I used Butler's voice is because there's a rumor going around that he's being considered for the sequel. This was supposed to be Michael's "memory" of what happened when the sequel was made, so, that's why I used it. Also, it's a reference to how he was promised the role of the Phantom in the film and it went to Butler instead.

  • Fantastic job. I would love to see Michael come back to reprise the role of the Phantom but the sequel just sounds so moronic and such a waste of time. The original show didn't need a sequel and I have know plans to give my money to the jerk(ALW) that dissed Michael and lied to him about being able to reprise his role in the film. The plot sounds horrible! I am perfectly happy seeing other shows and waiting for Michael next project. I'll give my money to Michaels new project instead of Andrews!

  • Man you nailed it !! I too feel he is too talented to be involved in this upcoming crap!!

  • Holy crap, You my friend are a genius! Why didn't I think of that? And you know, you got it just in time for Michael's birthday, so I can't help but wonder if he really feels this way about the sequel. I know ALW has decided to keep who will play Erik a secret, but I'm hoping for once that Michael won't have anything to do with it.

  • Thank you, and, even though I did this in time for Michael's birthday, I honestly don't know what his thoughts are on the sequel. I really, really hope that he's not in it. He's too talented and just too amazing to waste his gifts and beautiful voice on the burning crap fest that will be the sequel.

  • I can't agree with you more. I'm not sure what he feels, but I'm certain deep down he knows how wrong this must be.

  • Exactly. I'm sure deep, DEEP down, he's like, "Andrew, are you out of you f**king mind?" :)
