I can't comment on the video, but B. C. Gilbert is an artistic genius- this is only a shallow introduction , it's not easy or 'pretty'.. but it is quite creative.
You know dymondzboo, there's an old theatre saying "the eunuchs in the harem; they see it done every night but can't do it themselves". It's directed at critics and never a truer word was said. Applaud people who at least make an effort, especially if they're as genius as this.
Yes the negative comment from the uniformed..it's amazing how people think thier opinion is more important that fact. U come here to look for ideas for dance....go and find your own ideas in the first place.

okay im sory but that is stink. It is nt interestin to me. I du dance at skool nd came too look on hea ta get sum ideas but so far im really disappointd. no really great videos yet
This looks like the late 80's, around the time they were performing with The Fall. I saw them at Sadlers Wells. The bald guy in the chair looks like the actor who was a giant in Time Bandits. Is Julie picking up these comments? Is she ok? I haven't seen her for 20 years. If anyone can pass this onto her, try "shopping with shakespeare" in the search engine -she'll probably work it out.
please let me embed this video!!!!!

Where can I find more info / work / pictures of Julie Hood (the ballet dancer in this video)?
Just a captivating presence in this video.
Thanks.

Michael Clark is one of the greats - right up there with Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham, etc.

Looks a little like Lewis' "pump"... only not nearly as artistic and fitting. But it is better than most drivel out there...

Superb. This appeared on the very excellent "Alive From Off-Center" series on PBS back in the mid 1980's. Great work VideoOverload!

I recognise Julie Hood from other Angela Conway work. Wasn't she the girl with the suitcase in "One of Our Girls Has Gone Missing"?

First of all, slow down when you're typing, and this isn't the usual pretentious ballet trash people are used to, so sorry to disappoint you.
