@danielbertolone ~ The song was nominated for a 1949 Academy Award; it was the title tune of a superb Susan Hayward movie, for which she was also nominated. These days, they should get rid of the song category; I've never heard of any of the songs that now get nominated.

Leslie Gore is 11 months older than I am. I graduated from Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe Springs, California on June 16, 1965. Leslie made those years from 1963-1965 so much more fun; her voice will always remind me of another time & place, a happier time and a better place, really. Long live Leslie Gore.
