He didn't like the movie, but it got his message out there, plus he got the royalties for his hospital.

Fishing line pulls the hat when he kicks it, that's how it moves so far in such a strait line, then they pull on the string further to mimick the action of Depp. Thats how it moves by itself. Very simple.
The only problem is, this is also very impossible. Why not just have him pull a rabbit out his ass while he's at it? That would've made about as much sense.
I love Spokane. I like to look at all the B&J locations when I go there but I always skip the park because I don't want to pay to park just to go there so I drive by it instead.
My sister's boyfriend knows how to do the hat trick! But he lives in New Zealand so he can't teach it to me. But he said if he was ever able to meet with us (not very likely) he would teach it to me if I taught him something on the piano. Benny & Joon ROCKS!!!!!!!

Wow. What I've always considered the best and most magical scene of the movie. It's great because it does two things at once: it provides Johnny Depp with a wonderful uninterrupted showcase of his physical comedy skills (while simultaneously paying tribute to Chaplin, Lloyd, and Keaton), and it also gently advances the film's plot, as the moment he breaks through to Aidan Quinn. And it wouldn't be truly magical without the lush music score of Rachel Portman. Thank you for this post.

Oh lucky them. They got to see JD, MSM and AQ. I hope my cousin will see him soon. I told her to say hi to him for me to to tell him I love him in Benny & Joon and Spokane is my favorite city because of it.
