This is the Duffy we absolutely love! What a unique voice, sexy, enticing,.. I hope she doesn't leave the music business 'cause she's one of the top three in my book with Amy Winehead, and Adele. No other singer in Europe or the US has this caliber of singing, stage presence, charm.... She'll go far if she persists. Rockferry is such a great song and is the perfect vehicle for her voice. She´s really good, of course, but I think that she should try to make her voice a little fuller on the high notes. That was the one thing that I slightly objected to on her album: the thin high notes. Her lower range is quite thick and rusty, but whenever she lets fly, she sounds like a little school girl. This woman has a HUGE career ahead of her. The production sound is amazing--it's like reborn Spector wall of sound and it's real music. Duffy's alot of early Jackie DeShannon and Dusty Springfield in her look and presence and that voice is nearly as amazing as Maria McKee when she hit the scene in the mid 80s. But somehow, she's awfully unique. One of those voices you hear once and know will be around for a good long time.
