@pavlovich53 Jesus said, "unless a man be born again, he/she shall by no means inherit the kingdom of God." Most catholics are not born from above and rely on their religious traditions and good works to earn their way to heaven, which is NOT biblical. "Accepting" Christ doesn't save you. Only by His shed blood on the cross through repentance and faith does. God knows who are His and isn't mocked
Dude, Catholics canonized the Bible with which you like to attack us with. Stop misinterpreting Catholic beliefs. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus declared Peter as his successor and built His church that way. He also said that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Are you saying Jesus is wrong?
Furthermore, Catholics are in fact "born again," it's called baptism, our first sacrament.
Also, tradition is something that cannot be avoided after 2000 years. History happens, and things that have to be adjusted to. Also, an important tradition in imagery inside of churches are because of the history of illiteracy. Images are ways that early Christians (Catholics) shared the Gospel.
One last thing. Good works are in fact necessary for your salvation, you can't claim to believe in God, and continue to sin, it takes work. Matthew 7:21, Matthew 15:18.
@PilleDigital do you know what being born again is?, and infant baptism isn't biblical. A christian becomes baptized after submitting to Christ, dying with Him, then raising into newness of life with Him. It is not a tradition or concept, but a reality if you've been born from above. When "priests" perform baptism on infants, they're just giving them a bath. Do you really want me to get started on catholic unbiblical traditions?
@PilleDigital works nor faith alone saves us as James tells us, as well as Eph 2:8,9. Once save by repentance( a 180 degree turn from sin) and faith in Christ for the sacrifice and atonement for sin, we will do good works as a result of what Christ did. Catholics believe they can earn their way to heaven by striving to be "good" and they don't seek the kingdom. Isaiah 64:6 says that our righteous acts are like filthy rags to God and we are justified by faith, not works
aww wait a minuet...that Muslim girl looked so scared...some people need to hear that there is a Jesus who loves you and longs for a personal relationship with you...not you are going to burn in hell...the girl probably hears so many negative things b/c of her religion. muslims and very cruel..i think what this girl needed to hear is that Jesus loves her and wants her as His own..take this into consideration please. :)
@34craigjan Christians are followers of Jesus Christ, Jesus supposedly appointed peter as the first pope. Catholics believe and follow Jesus and that makes them Christians. That's like saying that Sunnis are not Muslims.
@dudsisfake the early Jews were the first christians and catholics went astray and formed their own religion based upon man made traditions, so they do not follow Jesus Christ and the current pope is NOT a representative of Christ on earth. There are many unbiblical things in catholicism.
@34craigjan Catholicism is merely a denomination of Christianity like so many others. There are 2 billion Christians in the world, 1 billion of which are Catholics.
p.s I'm an atheist by the way in case you thought was a catholic.
@dudsisfake there is no denominations in God's Word and catholics aren't christians once again. They went astray from the early church and started their own man made religion which is not of God. You won't be an atheist the day you die."The fool has said in his heart there is no God"
Who is "the creator of the universe" is "perfect" etc etc
Why couldn't he just... forgive?
I mean he's a perfect "god"
Why couldn't he be so "rich in mercy" that he would ignore "sin" (which is extremley arbutrary at points) and allow his children to live free and happy?
@Redeemedsinner17 If He were to do what you suggest, then He wouldn't be just, there would be no justice.
He does allow his children to live free and happy. In fact, he strongly encourages us to do so. He has laid life and death before us and he implores us to choose life.
Because of sin we are subject to death, eternally. Jesus defeated death for us that we may live forever. This eternal life isn't like this present life, it is free from death and suffering.
@Redeemedsinner17 Death is the result of sin. If Adam hadn't disobeyed and sinned, he would have lived forever. It would have been a perfectly blissful existence since it would have been sinless. His disobedience introduced sin(imperfection) into the world. God wants us to have eternal life but the catch is that to live forever you have to be perfect and without sin, otherwise it would be eternal life WITH sin. Sin equals imperfection, and only perfection can be eternal. cont..
@Redeemedsinner17 So if God just "ignored" sin and somehow made us eternal and yet imperfect, then it would mean an eternity of the same suffering that we have experienced since the fall. Imagine a world where everybody lived forever and yet you still had a world of lying, cheating, stealing, war, violence, murder, rape, injustice and all the bad(evil, imperfection) that results from our sin(imperfection). It would be never ending suffering. That's why God said In Genesis..cont.
@Redeemedsinner17 ..That's why in Genesis 3:22, after Adam brought sin into the world God says "..and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life , and eat, and live forever:"
So God was saying that since man chose to acquaint himself with sin and thus be imperfect, He could then not allow man to live forever in such a state, since the imperfection of sin would cause man to live in a world such as ours today with all the suffering. Continued...
@Redeemedsinner17 God, loving us, wants eternal life for us, but a life that is perfect and without imperfection. Sin is imperfection and separates us from what is perfect(God). But since God Himself is pure being-pure existence, He IS life itself and so to partake in this life that is perfect, you must obviously be without imperfection(sin). God must then undo what Adam did to loose our perfection. As a MAN Adam disobeyed and lost perfection, so God became a MAN that - cont..
@Redeemedsinner17 As a Man(Adam) disobeyed and lost perfection, so God became a man that by Man's(Jesus's, God-man) obedience we(mankind) can be redeemed and restored to perfection, and thus eternal life(without suffering). He "defeated" death and suffering(the results of imperfection) for us, by taking them onto himself and dying, and effectively "undoes" the consequences of sin(imperfection), and imparts the perfection of His perfect obedience onto us that we may live. cont..
@Redeemedsinner17 Jesus, being God in the flesh, and being therefore life(existence) itself, is able to resurrect his flesh and live forever, as He intends for us to live as well. Those who then want this "perfection" and therfore life, must accept that the reason they don't have a perfect life right now is because of the taint of sin and must WANT to get rid of it, rid of sin. Continued......
@Redeemedsinner17 So the choice is maybe limited to two alternatives, but it's still a choice. Either you choose life, which requires to reject sin and be made perfect and therefore be able to be in God's presence and live forever OR choose to remain imperfect due to keeping our sin and therefore not be able to stand with this Perfect Holy God, and therefore separated from Him, who is life itself. To be without God IS to be without life, and therefore IS death(lake of fire).
@jewyjewington To claim that any religion has free will, especially Christianity, is naive. I myself was a Christain, thought exactly like you, but then I looked at other religions and you know what, replace God with Allah and Muslims say the same thing. Replace Jesus with Horus and Egyptian Mythology will concur. It is not free will when it is either "Do what I say or I send you to hell, your choice" it is an avoidence of punishment, which I still do not understand why it must be eternal
@Redeemedsinner17 Heaven(this upcoming eternal life) is perfect by definition. If it has the least bit of imperfection then it isn't perfect and therefore will include some form of suffering. What you're suggesting is that God should take a person who is imperfect and thus subject to suffer, and make that person eternal and thus subject to suffer eternally. Can't you see that this is exactly what "hell" is? .. continued
Imagine a man is on the edge of a cliff. If he takes one step to the right, he is safe and lives. If he takes one step to the left, he falls and dies. He has the two choices; right or left, life or death.
Now just because he only has two choices and one is obviously much better than the other, does that mean he doesn't really have a choice?
You wouldn't say that he chooses to step right "only to avoid death on the left" and therefore is only an "avoidance" and not a choice.
@jewyjewington What's this metaphor have to do with anything? The fact is that the two choices are part of a "justice system" that is supposed to be "perfect" yet there are two extremes. You wouldn't want our justice system to work like that would you? You either never commit a crime or we execute you publicly. Is logical and sane? No it's not. And yes he obviously was avoiding death, when given ONLY two options, either fall or not fall. Would you still believe in God if heaven did not exist?
@Redeemedsinner17 Yes, either fall or not fall...what other option can there be...somewhat fall? kinda fall? fall but not quite?
Either you want an eternity with God, which by it's nature is without suffering, OR an eternity without God, which by it's nature does include suffering.
There can't be a third choice which would be "without God but also without suffering". To be without suffering is "perfection" and is therefore without sin and therefore WITH God.
@jewyjewington Or the fact that there is no bloody cliff. You havent answered my question on whether you would believe in God or not if Heaven wasn't an option
Also you've just shot your own foot. To be without suffering is "perfection" so why did God institute and all or nothing Justice System? Where's the "mercy" and "love" in seeing BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of people who just so happened to be a different religion in hell. How does a lack of God create suffering? Explain that please
@Redeemedsinner17 If there wasn't and eternal life without suffering, I would still conclude that there has to be a creator, I could still conclude this by the means of reason and logic. I would however wonder what the point would be of creating creatures doomed to an eternity of suffering and imperfect life. I would have questions for/about God, but the understanding that the universe requires an unconditioned cause wouldn't be changed by the lack of "heaven"(eternal life).
@Redeemedsinner17 Remember, the topic of our convo is the Bible. Well, according to the Bible sin is the cause of suffering(all forms). Sin makes us imperfect, God is perfect. Perfection, in order to be and remain perfection, can have nothing to do with imperfection. For God to BE God requires Him to be perfect, otherwise He wouldn't be God. If he has any part in imperfection, he is not perfect and thus not God. Anything imperfect will lead to suffering. No God=suffering.
@Redeemedsinner17 Well, that's and entirely different question, however not an unreasonable one though.
I would briefly say that there is more than one way to know. Although people who don't want it to be true will reject each one of them and argue that they aren't convinced. For such people the obstacle isn't intellectual but emotional. It isn't a matter of lacking evidence or rational reason but rather a matter of volition. They don't want it to be true, thus it ends there.
@Redeemedsinner17 Fulfilled prophecy is one of the easier ways to know that the Bible isn't a product of man since anybody willing to take the time to study it can discover the truth of this. I however am not here to convince you in these little comment boxes. I addressed your initial comment while assuming that you already accepted the Bible as being truth and yet had an honest question about something you didn't understand. Your username seemed to imply this.
@Redeemedsinner17 Now as I mentioned, there are different ways to authenticate the Bible, however whenever someone asks how we can know if it is true, if this person seems to ask the question honestly rather than looking to argue, then I tell them that there is one way that is better than any other since not everyone is convinced by the same thing. continued....
@Redeemedsinner17 God tells us that if we swallow our pride and drop our self righteous facade and truly want Himself to reveal Himself to us and we 100% WANT to know Him, then all we must do is seek Him with ALL our heart. Anything less won't do. It can't be 90% or 95% or even 99.9% but 100%. That is the best fail proof way of knowing the truth. You have to want 100% for truth(God) to reveal Himself to you and He promises that He will. continued..
@Redeemedsinner17 It can't be "Please God, I want to know you, please reveal yourself to me." all the while only intending to accept that truth if you "like" that truth. Many think that they've asked God to reveal Himself and claim He didn't. If this is so, then that person wasn't 100% willing to know Him, otherwise He surely would have revealed Himself. He reveals Himself to people in different ways, but keeps His promise. God knows your heart better than you do yourself. cont
"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with ALL your heart." Jeremiah 29:13
Notice the condition. You can seek Him all you want, but your search will only be successful in finding Him when and only when you do so with your entire heart. 100%
As far as I know, this is the best advice the Bible gives us about how we can know truth(God). Sad thing is that most people don't take Him up on His promise. They love sin
@jewyjewington Love sin? I don't love lying or cheating or gambling. I don't commit adultry and do my best not to fornicate, yet I'm agnostic. The fact is, Christians have a sterotype of everyone else, that they stop believing in God because they want to sin, which is bullocks. I stopped believing in God because of people like you. You've proven the Bible using the Bible, this is known as "circular logic" and it doesn't work... Ever
@Redeemedsinner17 I haven't "proven the Bible using the Bible". In fact, I haven't proven the Bible at all. What I said is that the best way to know if the God of the Bible is truth is to take Him up on His promise. Only you can do that, I can't do it for you and thus I can't prove the Bible for you.
Why wouldn't someone seeking truth follow the advice Jer 29:13 and seek with his entire heart if it wasn't because deep down he knows there is something he'll have to give up?
@Redeemedsinner17 Of course evidence is great to support knowledge, I agree. What better evidence can there be than God Himself revealing Himself to you?
If God shows you, Himself, that He is real and His word is true, it wouldn't involve blind faith at all. You would not need "faith" to "believe" that He exists, you would know for sure that He is real because you would have known Him. You would have "faith" concerning His promise of eternal life but you would know exists.
@jewyjewington Some one can say the same thing about buddha, the lord of the heavens and earths the al mighty the supreme the all wise, the strong, the magestic, the exalted in power and might,Do you really think god who is testing you here giving you his revelation his sighns all around you, would reveal himself,so that you can believe in him ? No,you won't see god untill you die,and if you were a sinner you won't see him even after you die.
@Redeemedsinner17 What if you can find an old scripture that no human can produce from a languistic prespective, and the scirpture has information that you know humans didn't know ,at the time of the scripture, what then you will conclude ?
@Redeemedsin Ok,if there is indeed a revelation from god, what do you think the level of language in it ? a child don't talk english like an adult,an adult don't talk english like a teacher of english,a teacher don't talk english like PHD doctor in english,a PHD doctor don't talk english like a strong author who lived in the golden era of the english language like shakespear, and shakespear don't talk english like god, what do you think the difference of level would be between god and shakespear ?
@Redeemedsinner17 You don't believe in god,but if god really existed and he is the creator of everything the wise the eternel ......, then his level of speech would be very very supreme, the most powerful clear precise speech there is .his level of speech will make shakespear look like a dumb !
And my point is that there is a revelation with that level of speech.
@Redeemedsinner17 Also, it makes no sense to "stop believing because of people like me"....I am not God and suppose that everything I've said makes no sense to you or you just don't like the way I come off, it still makes no sense to base your conclusions about God on me or anyone else other than God Himself.
@jewyjewington Maybe I didn't word it correctly. People like you as in people who don't question, people who accept anything given to them by a "Holy God" and just that. The Bible is a vile book filled with genocide and murder yet you cling to it and let your children read it. It's things like that that will drive someone away from a "merciful God" who ordered the death of children and pregnant women
@Redeemedsinner17 How can you say that I don't question? You don't know me and can't know if I question or not. When I read this I thought to myself "Oh boy, if this guy only knew how much questioning I've done/do".
Anyhow, Like I said earlier, I'm not here to convince you in this little comment box. I didn't start this convo with such intentions and merely though I would answer your question. You could easily take God up on His Jer 29:13 promise, but you must not want to.
@Redeemedsinner I don't believe in any "genocidal god". The God I am speaking of is the Creator of all that is. This being the case, He has the right to give life and to take it away. If God takes a life, it is not murder. Genocide is murder and murder by definition is the unjust taking of a life by a human. Since man has not given life, he has no right to take it away. If he does so unjustly, then it is what we call murder. God, being the giver of life is not unjust in taking.
@Redeemedsinner17 Being is the state of either perfection or imperfection has consequences. God is letting us know what these are and advising us as to what can be done to avoid undesirable consequences.
You seem to be suggesting that God should make that somehow a man can remain imperfect along with the consequences/benefit of being perfect. That would be inherently contradictory and can't be.It's like saying "I should be immersed in water and yet remain dry".
Ray Comfort is a DISGUSTING MAN! these are three young girls, still children, and he is talking to them about lust and sex, asking them personal questions, some of the didn't even know what he ment! they were confused, simply poor form and disgraceful on so many levels!
@NJohn13 your missing the point I'm not refuting that they may well have heard about sex and other things in the media I dare say they have, But my point is for a stranger to then ask them such personal questions is disgusting, look at there faces when he asks them they didn't understand, there is a difference between learning about things then been probed on things.
@scottishguy100 ok well i dont know if they didnt understand. but i highly doubt there that innocent.. but wat he said wasnt even perverted.. he was tryn to prove them the point that, in Gods eyes they are far from good.. good to him is perfection. they knew what he was saying. and so do you
@scottishguy100 ok thats fine.. but i think if u really wanted to stop people from being brainwashed, their is way more perverting and discusting things being thought to our youth. some fable shouldnt even be worth your time even commenting.. well at least thats what i would think. well this is the last comment i will leave you. but i hope one day your eyes and heart would be open to the gospel
@NJohn13 I know you said this is your last comment and I am no way trying to have the last word but just to respond I like watching many of the creation video's on youtube I find it interesting that's why I watch them. secondly the gospel, I respect your faith but I don't share it just as I don't share other faiths round the world no reason to pick one over the other. I wish you the best of luck in your future endever s.
@scottishguy100 Just because they are young doesnt make them stupid. Maybe they are ignorant girls but they allowed Ray to talk to them they could of said no but they didnt. He politely talked to them and interviewed them he wasnt agressive or rude.
@KuniKarin01 I didn't say they were stupid I'm sure they are clever girls. are you serious? they could have said no? social pressure could have played a factor? well I disagree I think he was rude he was asking for to personal questions, fact is you don't let some random stranger interview your children about their sexual desires.
If these were all men the Muslim would try and start a fight the catholic would fight back and the Hindu would either help the catholic or try and bring peace
”Don’t speak to me about your religion; first show it to me in how you treat other people. Don’t tell me how much you love your God; show me in how much you love all His children. Don’t preach to me your passion for your faith; teach me through your compassion for your neighbors. In the end, I’m not as interested in what you have to tell or sell as I am in how you choose to live and give.” ~ Cory Booker ~ Mayor of Newark, N.J.
Shes not really catholic, if she dont even believe in heaven or Jesus Christ how can she be catholic? The catholic creed is the christian creed from the early apostles so calling her a catholic is a bit out of fact, though Ray does a good job keep preeaching bro
@EIGHTYNINENINERS By his arrogant my-religion-is-better-than-your-religion attitude. If he were theologically mature - and a nice person - he would respect that these people have beautiful faiths that they believe in, and he should not pick on them. He should preach only to other Christians. Do people of other religions proselytize to those outside of their religions? Only the arrogant evangelicals.Perhaps that is because deep down inside they are insecure & lack self-esteem.
@silverhallheights And where did you learn that all religions are beautiful and that we are as human beings are supposed to have high esteem of ourself?
@EIGHTYNINENINERS The former by studying Comparative Religion and being theologically a mature individual. Also by speaking with many theologians of all denominations. The latyer by living and being human, and observing how much help those with low self-esteem need.
@silverhallheights So you think that your studies and maturity give you the answers? Well, then explain why the people most successful and highest self esteem turn to drugs, suicide and broken relationships? Esteem is too high maybe? The Bible says esteem others higher than yourself. That is not something the world teaches you. As far as religion. I would like you to tell me what is the difference between all the religions? Are they all the same? Or different? Do you know?
@EIGHTYNINENINERS No one with high self-esteem turns to drugs or commits suicide. Please read the appropriate psychology texts, or ask a friend who is a psychologist or a psychologist. You need to learn what self-esteem is. As far as religion is concerned, I advised you that I have studied Comparative Religion with experts for years. Of course religions have differences among them. Even different denominations of the same religion can have sharp differences.
@silverhallheights he has not got a religion he has a relationship with christ, ministering to other saved christians is not our job we are to preach the living word to those who do not have salvation
@ismael19993 You are very arrogant about your religion, aren't you? I am sorry that your faith is so weak that you have to try to get others to join. The faith of other religions is obviously much stronger than that of your man-god Jesus.
@silverhallheights hey i do not argue and debate, ill just tell you that i was in ur position once and i got up on my ass and searched for the truth and i found it, i did not stand proud asking people "where is the proof" if you want something you have to ask, you have free will. i hope you give christ a chance to bless your life and to save you
@ismael19993 You were not in my position once, because I have known the religious truth for me. You apparently did not know the religious truth for you at one time. When you say the "truth", you really mean the truth FOR YOU! The differences among faiths are respected by people of faith around the world. Your lack of respect for other religions is rather arrogant, as there are people of other faiths who have found as much spiritual wholeness as you have. God bless.
@ismael19993 I pray to God and have a relationship with God. I do not pray through a man-God intermediary That is as right for me as your beliefs are as right for you. And, yes, belief in Jesus Christ as a man-God is a religion called "Christianity". I don't know why you don't accept that. Have a good, spiritual life. That's what is important. And realize that other deists, such as Buddhists, Jews, etc, also have a relationship with God that is as powerful as yours.
Dude, you're not making sense. There is one logic. One. Logic says that just because you and I are in the physical realm, that doesn't mean that we have to apply the laws of the physical to the spiritual, because obviously, the Laws of the physical are the Laws of the PHYSICAL. It only logically follows that the Laws of the physical don't necessarily apply to the spiritual. Especially with respect to an all-powerful SPIRITUAL being.
...have any more questions just contact me. One more thing: "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." Leviticus 17:11 The only way the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will forgive us is with the shedding of spotless blood. Jesus is the final, humble, spotless, Divine, wonderful, gracious, shedding of blood...
The trinity is irrational. Someone, please explain to me how it is believable.
God is anything but human. He doesn't have children. He doesn't have a father. He doesn't need to become a human and die to forgive us. He can just forgive us outright. Would it be fair for someone else to pay the price? Is this justice?
Christians keep claiming that God gave his only son to die for us, but this is a lie. Supposedly the son is alive and well. Sounds like a scam.
@amuslimguy Hello friend. I understand that the Trinity is hard to understand, but remember we are talking about God. He is infinite, awesome and complex. What God did on the cross was called grace (undeserved favor). This is justice and grace because Jesus humbly took the punishment for us if we trust in Him. God says there must be shedding of spotless blood for there to be forgiveness of sins." Jesus' divine blood was shed for the whole world. Jesus said: "I and my Father are one." Jn 10:30...
@clintmmartin I simply said that the trinity is irrational, and instead of trying to explain it, you rattle off the standard (English translations) of greek verses (which wasn't originally spoken) to try to support the claim. But such interpretations of potentially figurative language doesn't do anything to explain it. 1+1+1=3, not 1.
Also, if Jesus was God, how could God have died (as is claimed)? Can God come out of a human birth canal? Can God eat and use the bathroom? How is this befitting?
@amuslimguy The problem is that you are trying to put physical limits on an all powerful, spiritual being. So, saying 1+1+1=3 doesn't explain away the possibility of God being 1, but 3 AND 3, but 1.
@ParaDiseTellEm No, I'm putting limits on what is to be considered logical. If you want to say that the Trinity is not logical in any explicable sense, but is still true, and it's all a mystery, fine. Just be honest about it and say, "yeah, it doesn't make any sense, but it's true, because Christians say it is."
If I were to say God is alive but He is dead at the same time, could you accept that? If I were to say there are infinite gods but only one, would that make any sense?
@amuslimguy You are misunderstanding. The laws of logic don't necessarily apply outside of the physical realm. Only in the physical is logic absolute. You are referring to a being beyond the physical realm and beyond our laws and standards which pertain to the physical and who created the physical realm, which logically follows that this being can defy it's laws. In the physical world, 1 cannot be 3. In the spirit, this isn't necessarily the case. Even time works differently in the spirit.
@ParaDiseTellEm You and I are IN the physical realm. The only logic we should speak of is the only logic we are capable of, and it cannot make sense of the trinity. That's all I'm trying to say. And it sounds like you've already conceded my point.
@amuslimguy Dude, you're not making sense.
@amuslimguy It is true 1+1+1=3, But 1X1X1=1. Your first question: He (God the Son) died on a cross by being crucified for the sins of the world, then was resurrected. Your second: Yes, God can do anything logically possible. Your third: Yes, God can do anything logically possible. Your forth: What Jesus did was humble and meek, God showed His eternal, almighty strength by showing unthinkable, amazing love for us by this awesome wonderful act of love and grace by laying down His life for ours.
@amuslimguy ...and He said "Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?" Jn 14:9 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by." Jn 8:58-59 "I am" is how God revealed Himself to Moses...
@amuslimguy ...the Jews understood that He was calling Himself God and thats why they took up stones to cast at Him. He is God but they didnt believe Him. Here is a Scripture concerning the Trinity: "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me:" Jn 15:26 The Holy Spirit comes from the Father and the Son and the Father are one. One God, but three "Persons" in the one God. If you...

@amuslimguy ..." But He was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities;punishment for our peace was on Him,and we are healed by His wounds.'' Isaiah 53:5 Jesus said "For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Matthew 26:28 God bless, contact me if you want to.
I have one question for Kirk. If we should keep the Ten Commandments why do these guys (and other Christians) say it was changed to Sunday. When if you look at the Hebrew days of the week only Shabbat or Saturday would be the day. Exodus 31:16-17 says it is forever.
@paulgem123 It is because they are Jews, and we are the Gentiles, people not of Jewish race. When God gave the Law to Moses, it applied only to the Jews. Now through Jesus, the Gentiles can be saved by grace through faith in Him. In Galatians 2:11-14, Paul opposed Peter because Peter said he would preach the Gospel to the Jews, but instead, he went to the Gentiles. Paul says "If you, though a jew, live like a gentile and not like a jew, how can you force the gentiles to live like Jews?
@xMoPaRx really....do you think that in New Jerusalem there will be a Christian side and a Jewish side???
Who was the New Covenant made to? Jeremiah 31:31 House of Israel and the House of Judah. But what did Jesus say? Matt 15:24 I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. John 5:45-47 Paraphrased If you don't listen to Moses you wont understand Jesus. and lastly Hebrew 8:8 says the same thing as Jer 31:31. They should be saying the 9 commandments instead of 10.
@xMoPaRx Don't get me wrong I like these guys but the logic they they use does not make sense if you take them at their word they would preach keep 9 commandments. Malachi 3:6 and Hebrew 13:8, Deut 4:2 and Rev 22:19. There are two laws in the New Testament. Oral traditions of the Rabbis (Matt 23) and the Written Law of God which remains the same forever and is not to be added or subtracted from.
@xMoPaRx Also there was a wall around the Temple in those times called the "soreg" which the Gentiles could not pass. Peter was still in the mindset that Jews were a separate people (cause they actually thought of Gentiles as dogs) when in fact was made up by man. Numbers 15:14-16 was the standard from the beginning. All people that obeyed God's commandments gained equal inheritance. They were Hebrews those set apart for the Kingdom. Nothing has changed. Shalom in Yeshua!
@xMoPaRx So in other words, you give Paul precedence over what is considered God's word? On what grounds does Paul have this much authority? Was he a prophet from God?
How can Christians just accept what Paul preached, even if it went against what supposedly God or Jesus taught? What's to prevent a modern day Paul from changing things further? Does it concern you that you could be following a deviation from the original truth?
Respond to this video... God made certain rules that the Jews had to follow because of their race, like not eating pork and having their sabbath on saturday. Since we are not Jewish, we do not need to do Jewish customs, but still hold the 10 commandments. also, since we are Christians, we celebrate Him on the day that he rose again, a sunday. also, in 1 Cor 16:2, Paul says that he will take collections on the first day of the week. romans 14:5-6 also says to view each day as equal
Ray Comfort and WOTM are fakes and are ungodly...they get people to pay them money to teach them how to evangelise...I dont see in the bible where it says Jesus said "come and ill make you fishers of men, BUT you have to pay me to teach you how to do it"...he just said come and ill make you fishers of men...nothing to do with money...and I dont see anywhere in Acts or anywhere else that they asked for money when evangelising or teaching people to evangelise...WOTM are frauds.
WOTM teach works salvation according to the bible, here is 100% proof:
Jonah 3:10 And God saw THEIR WORKS, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
It says God saw "their WORKS" they they turned from their evil way (sins), and in the same verse it says God himself repented...it doesn't mean turn from sin, WOTM are 100% fake phony works salvation, self righteous pharisees. Dont trust them, trust KJV bible
Toward the end, it doesn't seem as if the muslim girl believed what was being said regarding Jesus Christ. She agreed in the end. But I don't think she actually was telling the truth. Its amazing how people can be good, but have different beliefs.
We all have come out of the universe. The word god is too confusing for people, we are all the universal force. We are a way for the universe to realize itself. It is sad that Christians are so closed minded. Christianity is a man made concept just like everything else that exists on the Earth..
the girl was real good man.... how come u inviting us to associate any thing with God. ask God u forgive u but not jesus, he was human being like me and you. dont try promote association with god cos muslims dont accept there are gods, rather one god and jesus was human being sent to warn people and give good tidings to the believers. good video by the way.
for example when you look at the Ocean with its many waves do you see
a) many waves that last for say 5 seconds some big some small some crashing upon jagged rocks some nicely washing up on a beach which then Vanish forever OR is it in reality just the ONE ocean which is not to say the ocean has no waves it means in reality each wave is a extension of the Ocean that we have given a different name as if it was separate to make things easier
@sidthemyth so not just when the wave collapses will it become the Ocean but it has ALWAYS been the ocean and always will even when it "becomes another" wave even if it believes it is a small and unlucky wave with a short life destined to crash upon jagged rocks in reality it is the mighty undying ocean that will never die.
the illusion of mortality arises from identifying yourself with your current form and not your essence.
like a Clay Pot(Clay=Mass=Energy) who views himself as a Pot
according to Hinduism AND modern science you (not the concept of you that you have created but the real you) is reborn countless times untill the end of the universe when everything is destroyed so it can be created again (oscillating universe) in a infinite cycle (described in Vedas and only recently thought of in science) and according to science in the time when everything has been destroyed but nothing yet created we will be one with god which you could call "heaven"
for example it is no known that the particals that make up our bodys was once a part of a Star.
so if you NOW are experiencing life and your conciousness in you 999.999.999,978th form why do you think when you are reborn for the 999.999.999,979th time say a fish do you think that being will have no conciousness?
some people to this will say "well its not me being reborn" to those people i saw was you not you then when you was Born? as a baby is not "you" in terms of personality.
wrong we will continue to be reborn untill god draws creation back into himself and we become one with God this rest period could be called Heaven and then it will all start up again this makes sense according to modern science your theory however has NO scientific backing .
here is how science works you have a concept then you look for evidence..... there is evidence for Hindu concepts but not for Christian sorry.
but unlike you i dont think you will burn in hell for not being hindu
@topbluffa1 pff, i think this will really be my last reply... undeniable and palpable proof of what is called micro evolution; adaptation. there is; yes. lol. the rest is hogwash.
next to your religion are other religions, as i ve said. all pagan.
@topbluffa1 Thank you, for showing your respect for humanity and that you don't judge and murder us all in your eyes for not being the same religion. Now that's love.
in the same way you breathe without thinking about it pump your heart without thinking about it and send antibodies to fight viruses you are also controlling the wind, migration of birds, wolves keeping the rabbit population down and in tern keeping the vegetation from being over eaten and EVERYTHING that goes on.
the fun thing is we are only concious of the little bit we call ourselves and therefore get to feel like we are separate from the world and other people/things and never get bored
@topbluffa1 thinking you actually control these things, or everything that goes on, is superficial, and far from the truth. you are right though, we are concious of little; and many get seperated from eachother for many reasons.
it is evident you seek truth. try harder. be honest. and read the bible if you havent, and if you have.
you don't seem to of grasped what i said, and the bible is wrong in terms of its concepts on the soul the afterlife creation, god, the fate of the universe, the age of the universe, evolution. the list goes on.
Hinduism is correct and ahead of modern science on all of these areas and modern science is only recently admitting things like
a)everything is ultimately made of the same undying essence.
b)energy/mass can NEVER be Destroyed OR created only converted.
Well the "catholic" girl does not seem to be familiar with the faith and is probably not practicing. Here is how I as a devout Catholic would answer the questions.
1. What happens after you die?
A: The Judgement
2. Are you a good person?
A: Not in the eyes of God
3. Have you Stolen, Lust, etc..
A: Yes
4. Do you know what He (Jesus) did?
A: Incarnation, Crucifiction, Resurrection (to be brief haha)
@redbaron998 I find the necessity to go over the 10 commandment with a person who knows to be an unworthy superfluous. They know what they need to do to gain Heaven which is to immediately confess their sins or they will be damned!

I have seen him interview people of all ages. I think their way of witnessing makes people really take a look at themselves as GOD sees them, and not as the world sees and sets the standards of what are ok and what is not.
The first girl interviewed clearly does not seem like a practicing Catholic or even really sure of what she believes. It was interesting that some of these girls said they have never looked lustfully at a guy. I pray that these three women will come to discover the truth, love and beauty of Jesus Christ and the Catholic church. Ray, thanks for taking your time to talk with these women. God bless.
I would like to see you guys interview a well educated, devout Muslim over 30 years of age instead of young people who are easily suaded. I really want to see the logical and philosophic arguments that would ensue... you feature too many young agnostics. Same goes for your open air preaching.

@34craigjan Catholics accept Christ as savior and have been around since the beginning the sacraments and traditions are biblically based
pavlovich53 6 days ago
@pavlovich53 Jesus said, "unless a man be born again, he/she shall by no means inherit the kingdom of God." Most catholics are not born from above and rely on their religious traditions and good works to earn their way to heaven, which is NOT biblical. "Accepting" Christ doesn't save you. Only by His shed blood on the cross through repentance and faith does. God knows who are His and isn't mocked
34craigjan 5 days ago
@34craigjan
PilleDigital 5 days ago
@34craigjan cont.
PilleDigital 5 days ago
@PilleDigital do you know what being born again is?, and infant baptism isn't biblical. A christian becomes baptized after submitting to Christ, dying with Him, then raising into newness of life with Him. It is not a tradition or concept, but a reality if you've been born from above. When "priests" perform baptism on infants, they're just giving them a bath. Do you really want me to get started on catholic unbiblical traditions?
34craigjan 5 days ago

@34craigjan catholics were the first christians
dudsisfake 1 week ago
@dudsisfake wrong. Do you know what christian means?
34craigjan 1 week ago
@34craigjan Christians are followers of Jesus Christ, Jesus supposedly appointed peter as the first pope. Catholics believe and follow Jesus and that makes them Christians. That's like saying that Sunnis are not Muslims.
dudsisfake 1 week ago
@dudsisfake the early Jews were the first christians and catholics went astray and formed their own religion based upon man made traditions, so they do not follow Jesus Christ and the current pope is NOT a representative of Christ on earth. There are many unbiblical things in catholicism.
34craigjan 1 week ago
@34craigjan Catholicism is merely a denomination of Christianity like so many others. There are 2 billion Christians in the world, 1 billion of which are Catholics.
p.s I'm an atheist by the way in case you thought was a catholic.
dudsisfake 6 days ago
@dudsisfake there is no denominations in God's Word and catholics aren't christians once again. They went astray from the early church and started their own man made religion which is not of God. You won't be an atheist the day you die."The fool has said in his heart there is no God"
34craigjan 6 days ago
@34craigjan Well obviously the bible would say that. But if I were looking for instruction to lead my life I would stay far away from the bible.

I just have one question
Why would God
Who is "the creator of the universe" is "perfect" etc etc
Why couldn't he just... forgive?
I mean he's a perfect "god"
Why couldn't he be so "rich in mercy" that he would ignore "sin" (which is extremley arbutrary at points) and allow his children to live free and happy?
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 If He were to do what you suggest, then He wouldn't be just, there would be no justice.
He does allow his children to live free and happy. In fact, he strongly encourages us to do so. He has laid life and death before us and he implores us to choose life.
Because of sin we are subject to death, eternally. Jesus defeated death for us that we may live forever. This eternal life isn't like this present life, it is free from death and suffering.
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@jewyjewington A tad bit arbutarty dont you think though? Where God's jurisdiction he requires human sacrifies?
And how is it a "choice" as you say when the only other alternative is a lake of fire?
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Death is the result of sin. If Adam hadn't disobeyed and sinned, he would have lived forever. It would have been a perfectly blissful existence since it would have been sinless. His disobedience introduced sin(imperfection) into the world. God wants us to have eternal life but the catch is that to live forever you have to be perfect and without sin, otherwise it would be eternal life WITH sin. Sin equals imperfection, and only perfection can be eternal. cont..
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 So if God just "ignored" sin and somehow made us eternal and yet imperfect, then it would mean an eternity of the same suffering that we have experienced since the fall. Imagine a world where everybody lived forever and yet you still had a world of lying, cheating, stealing, war, violence, murder, rape, injustice and all the bad(evil, imperfection) that results from our sin(imperfection). It would be never ending suffering. That's why God said In Genesis..cont.
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 ..That's why in Genesis 3:22, after Adam brought sin into the world God says "..and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life , and eat, and live forever:"
So God was saying that since man chose to acquaint himself with sin and thus be imperfect, He could then not allow man to live forever in such a state, since the imperfection of sin would cause man to live in a world such as ours today with all the suffering. Continued...
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 God, loving us, wants eternal life for us, but a life that is perfect and without imperfection. Sin is imperfection and separates us from what is perfect(God). But since God Himself is pure being-pure existence, He IS life itself and so to partake in this life that is perfect, you must obviously be without imperfection(sin). God must then undo what Adam did to loose our perfection. As a MAN Adam disobeyed and lost perfection, so God became a MAN that - cont..
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 As a Man(Adam) disobeyed and lost perfection, so God became a man that by Man's(Jesus's, God-man) obedience we(mankind) can be redeemed and restored to perfection, and thus eternal life(without suffering). He "defeated" death and suffering(the results of imperfection) for us, by taking them onto himself and dying, and effectively "undoes" the consequences of sin(imperfection), and imparts the perfection of His perfect obedience onto us that we may live. cont..
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Jesus, being God in the flesh, and being therefore life(existence) itself, is able to resurrect his flesh and live forever, as He intends for us to live as well. Those who then want this "perfection" and therfore life, must accept that the reason they don't have a perfect life right now is because of the taint of sin and must WANT to get rid of it, rid of sin. Continued......
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 So the choice is maybe limited to two alternatives, but it's still a choice. Either you choose life, which requires to reject sin and be made perfect and therefore be able to be in God's presence and live forever OR choose to remain imperfect due to keeping our sin and therefore not be able to stand with this Perfect Holy God, and therefore separated from Him, who is life itself. To be without God IS to be without life, and therefore IS death(lake of fire).
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@jewyjewington To claim that any religion has free will, especially Christianity, is naive. I myself was a Christain, thought exactly like you, but then I looked at other religions and you know what, replace God with Allah and Muslims say the same thing. Replace Jesus with Horus and Egyptian Mythology will concur. It is not free will when it is either "Do what I say or I send you to hell, your choice" it is an avoidence of punishment, which I still do not understand why it must be eternal
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Heaven(this upcoming eternal life) is perfect by definition. If it has the least bit of imperfection then it isn't perfect and therefore will include some form of suffering. What you're suggesting is that God should take a person who is imperfect and thus subject to suffer, and make that person eternal and thus subject to suffer eternally. Can't you see that this is exactly what "hell" is? .. continued
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
Imagine a man is on the edge of a cliff. If he takes one step to the right, he is safe and lives. If he takes one step to the left, he falls and dies. He has the two choices; right or left, life or death.
Now just because he only has two choices and one is obviously much better than the other, does that mean he doesn't really have a choice?
You wouldn't say that he chooses to step right "only to avoid death on the left" and therefore is only an "avoidance" and not a choice.
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@jewyjewington What's this metaphor have to do with anything? The fact is that the two choices are part of a "justice system" that is supposed to be "perfect" yet there are two extremes. You wouldn't want our justice system to work like that would you? You either never commit a crime or we execute you publicly. Is logical and sane? No it's not. And yes he obviously was avoiding death, when given ONLY two options, either fall or not fall. Would you still believe in God if heaven did not exist?
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Yes, either fall or not fall...what other option can there be...somewhat fall? kinda fall? fall but not quite?
Either you want an eternity with God, which by it's nature is without suffering, OR an eternity without God, which by it's nature does include suffering.
There can't be a third choice which would be "without God but also without suffering". To be without suffering is "perfection" and is therefore without sin and therefore WITH God.
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@jewyjewington Or the fact that there is no bloody cliff. You havent answered my question on whether you would believe in God or not if Heaven wasn't an option
Also you've just shot your own foot. To be without suffering is "perfection" so why did God institute and all or nothing Justice System? Where's the "mercy" and "love" in seeing BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of people who just so happened to be a different religion in hell. How does a lack of God create suffering? Explain that please
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 If there wasn't and eternal life without suffering, I would still conclude that there has to be a creator, I could still conclude this by the means of reason and logic. I would however wonder what the point would be of creating creatures doomed to an eternity of suffering and imperfect life. I would have questions for/about God, but the understanding that the universe requires an unconditioned cause wouldn't be changed by the lack of "heaven"(eternal life).
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Remember, the topic of our convo is the Bible. Well, according to the Bible sin is the cause of suffering(all forms). Sin makes us imperfect, God is perfect. Perfection, in order to be and remain perfection, can have nothing to do with imperfection. For God to BE God requires Him to be perfect, otherwise He wouldn't be God. If he has any part in imperfection, he is not perfect and thus not God. Anything imperfect will lead to suffering. No God=suffering.
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@jewyjewington Alright
How do you know the Bible is true?
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Well, that's and entirely different question, however not an unreasonable one though.
I would briefly say that there is more than one way to know. Although people who don't want it to be true will reject each one of them and argue that they aren't convinced. For such people the obstacle isn't intellectual but emotional. It isn't a matter of lacking evidence or rational reason but rather a matter of volition. They don't want it to be true, thus it ends there.
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Fulfilled prophecy is one of the easier ways to know that the Bible isn't a product of man since anybody willing to take the time to study it can discover the truth of this. I however am not here to convince you in these little comment boxes. I addressed your initial comment while assuming that you already accepted the Bible as being truth and yet had an honest question about something you didn't understand. Your username seemed to imply this.
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Now as I mentioned, there are different ways to authenticate the Bible, however whenever someone asks how we can know if it is true, if this person seems to ask the question honestly rather than looking to argue, then I tell them that there is one way that is better than any other since not everyone is convinced by the same thing. continued....
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 God tells us that if we swallow our pride and drop our self righteous facade and truly want Himself to reveal Himself to us and we 100% WANT to know Him, then all we must do is seek Him with ALL our heart. Anything less won't do. It can't be 90% or 95% or even 99.9% but 100%. That is the best fail proof way of knowing the truth. You have to want 100% for truth(God) to reveal Himself to you and He promises that He will. continued..
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 It can't be "Please God, I want to know you, please reveal yourself to me." all the while only intending to accept that truth if you "like" that truth. Many think that they've asked God to reveal Himself and claim He didn't. If this is so, then that person wasn't 100% willing to know Him, otherwise He surely would have revealed Himself. He reveals Himself to people in different ways, but keeps His promise. God knows your heart better than you do yourself. cont
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Here is His promise -
"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with ALL your heart." Jeremiah 29:13
Notice the condition. You can seek Him all you want, but your search will only be successful in finding Him when and only when you do so with your entire heart. 100%
As far as I know, this is the best advice the Bible gives us about how we can know truth(God). Sad thing is that most people don't take Him up on His promise. They love sin
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@jewyjewington Love sin? I don't love lying or cheating or gambling. I don't commit adultry and do my best not to fornicate, yet I'm agnostic. The fact is, Christians have a sterotype of everyone else, that they stop believing in God because they want to sin, which is bullocks. I stopped believing in God because of people like you. You've proven the Bible using the Bible, this is known as "circular logic" and it doesn't work... Ever
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 I haven't "proven the Bible using the Bible". In fact, I haven't proven the Bible at all. What I said is that the best way to know if the God of the Bible is truth is to take Him up on His promise. Only you can do that, I can't do it for you and thus I can't prove the Bible for you.
Why wouldn't someone seeking truth follow the advice Jer 29:13 and seek with his entire heart if it wasn't because deep down he knows there is something he'll have to give up?
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@jewyjewington Because I don't know if he's real
Like no other religoin can prove
Blind Faith isn't enough
Evidence would be great
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago

@Redeemedsinner17 You don't believe in god,but if god really existed and he is the creator of everything the wise the eternel ......, then his level of speech would be very very supreme, the most powerful clear precise speech there is .his level of speech will make shakespear look like a dumb !
And my point is that there is a revelation with that level of speech.
YamiYami17 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 Also, it makes no sense to "stop believing because of people like me"....I am not God and suppose that everything I've said makes no sense to you or you just don't like the way I come off, it still makes no sense to base your conclusions about God on me or anyone else other than God Himself.
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@jewyjewington Maybe I didn't word it correctly. People like you as in people who don't question, people who accept anything given to them by a "Holy God" and just that. The Bible is a vile book filled with genocide and murder yet you cling to it and let your children read it. It's things like that that will drive someone away from a "merciful God" who ordered the death of children and pregnant women
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago
@Redeemedsinner17 How can you say that I don't question? You don't know me and can't know if I question or not. When I read this I thought to myself "Oh boy, if this guy only knew how much questioning I've done/do".
Anyhow, Like I said earlier, I'm not here to convince you in this little comment box. I didn't start this convo with such intentions and merely though I would answer your question. You could easily take God up on His Jer 29:13 promise, but you must not want to.
jewyjewington 2 weeks ago
@jewyjewington You still haven't answered my question on how you believe in a genocidal god
Redeemedsinner17 2 weeks ago

@Redeemedsinner17 It's not "Do what I say or I send you to hell, your choice".
It's "Either live forever in perfection or live forever in imperfection, your choice."

EIGHTYNINENINERS 2 months ago
@EIGHTYNINENINERS By his arrogant my-religion-is-better-than-your-religion attitude. If he were theologically mature - and a nice person - he would respect that these people have beautiful faiths that they believe in, and he should not pick on them. He should preach only to other Christians. Do people of other religions proselytize to those outside of their religions? Only the arrogant evangelicals.Perhaps that is because deep down inside they are insecure & lack self-esteem.
silverhallheights 2 months ago
@silverhallheights And where did you learn that all religions are beautiful and that we are as human beings are supposed to have high esteem of ourself?
EIGHTYNINENINERS 1 month ago
@EIGHTYNINENINERS The former by studying Comparative Religion and being theologically a mature individual. Also by speaking with many theologians of all denominations. The latyer by living and being human, and observing how much help those with low self-esteem need.
silverhallheights 1 month ago
@silverhallheights So you think that your studies and maturity give you the answers? Well, then explain why the people most successful and highest self esteem turn to drugs, suicide and broken relationships? Esteem is too high maybe? The Bible says esteem others higher than yourself. That is not something the world teaches you. As far as religion. I would like you to tell me what is the difference between all the religions? Are they all the same? Or different? Do you know?
EIGHTYNINENINERS 1 month ago
@EIGHTYNINENINERS No one with high self-esteem turns to drugs or commits suicide. Please read the appropriate psychology texts, or ask a friend who is a psychologist or a psychologist. You need to learn what self-esteem is. As far as religion is concerned, I advised you that I have studied Comparative Religion with experts for years. Of course religions have differences among them. Even different denominations of the same religion can have sharp differences.

God bless.

Dude, you're not making sense. There is one logic. One. Logic says that just because you and I are in the physical realm, that doesn't mean that we have to apply the laws of the physical to the spiritual, because obviously, the Laws of the physical are the Laws of the PHYSICAL. To amuslimguy: Denying the Trinity is like denying the family made of a father, mother and children.
God made us in His image.
The difference is that sin entered man and each part of the family think they are "little gods" and there division came.
The image God want to see is for all of us to give him back His title of God, in our heart, the only way man can have peace.
Then, by giving back His rights to be our father(creator), we start to listen to what He has to tell us. But as long as we thi
siaramsed17 2 months ago
The trinity is irrational. Someone, please explain to me how it is believable.
God is anything but human. He doesn't have children. He doesn't have a father. He doesn't need to become a human and die to forgive us. He can just forgive us outright. Would it be fair for someone else to pay the price? Is this justice?
Christians keep claiming that God gave his only son to die for us, but this is a lie. Supposedly the son is alive and well. Sounds like a scam.
Sorry to sound so harsh, but...
amuslimguy 2 months ago
@amuslimguy Hello friend. I understand that the Trinity is hard to understand, but remember we are talking about God. He is infinite, awesome and complex. What God did on the cross was called grace (undeserved favor). This is justice and grace because Jesus humbly took the punishment for us if we trust in Him. God says there must be shedding of spotless blood for there to be forgiveness of sins." Jesus' divine blood was shed for the whole world. Jesus said: "I and my Father are one." Jn 10:30...
clintmmartin 2 months ago
@clintmmartin I simply said that the trinity is irrational, and instead of trying to explain it, you rattle off the standard (English translations) of greek verses (which wasn't originally spoken) to try to support the claim. But such interpretations of potentially figurative language doesn't do anything to explain it. 1+1+1=3, not 1.
Also, if Jesus was God, how could God have died (as is claimed)? Can God come out of a human birth canal? Can God eat and use the bathroom? How is this befitting?
amuslimguy 2 months ago
@amuslimguy The problem is that you are trying to put physical limits on an all powerful, spiritual being. So, saying 1+1+1=3 doesn't explain away the possibility of God being 1, but 3 AND 3, but 1.
ParaDiseTellEm 2 months ago
@ParaDiseTellEm No, I'm putting limits on what is to be considered logical. If you want to say that the Trinity is not logical in any explicable sense, but is still true, and it's all a mystery, fine. Just be honest about it and say, "yeah, it doesn't make any sense, but it's true, because Christians say it is."
If I were to say God is alive but He is dead at the same time, could you accept that? If I were to say there are infinite gods but only one, would that make any sense?
amuslimguy 2 months ago
@amuslimguy You are misunderstanding. The laws of logic don't necessarily apply outside of the physical realm. Only in the physical is logic absolute. You are referring to a being beyond the physical realm and beyond our laws and standards which pertain to the physical and who created the physical realm, which logically follows that this being can defy it's laws. In the physical world, 1 cannot be 3. In the spirit, this isn't necessarily the case. Even time works differently in the spirit.
ParaDiseTellEm 2 months ago
@ParaDiseTellEm You and I are IN the physical realm. The only logic we should speak of is the only logic we are capable of, and it cannot make sense of the trinity. That's all I'm trying to say. And it sounds like you've already conceded my point.

I have one question for Kirk. If we should keep the Ten Commandments why do these guys (and other Christians) say it was changed to Sunday. When if you look at the Hebrew days of the week only Shabbat or Saturday would be the day. Exodus 31:16-17 says it is forever.
paulgem123 3 months ago
@paulgem123 It is because they are Jews, and we are the Gentiles, people not of Jewish race. When God gave the Law to Moses, it applied only to the Jews. Now through Jesus, the Gentiles can be saved by grace through faith in Him. In Galatians 2:11-14, Paul opposed Peter because Peter said he would preach the Gospel to the Jews, but instead, he went to the Gentiles. Paul says "If you, though a jew, live like a gentile and not like a jew, how can you force the gentiles to live like Jews?
xMoPaRx 3 months ago
@xMoPaRx really....do you think that in New Jerusalem there will be a Christian side and a Jewish side???
Who was the New Covenant made to? Jeremiah 31:31 House of Israel and the House of Judah. But what did Jesus say? Matt 15:24 I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. John 5:45-47 Paraphrased If you don't listen to Moses you wont understand Jesus. and lastly Hebrew 8:8 says the same thing as Jer 31:31. They should be saying the 9 commandments instead of 10.
paulgem123 2 months ago
@xMoPaRx Don't get me wrong I like these guys but the logic they they use does not make sense if you take them at their word they would preach keep 9 commandments. Malachi 3:6 and Hebrew 13:8, Deut 4:2 and Rev 22:19. There are two laws in the New Testament. Oral traditions of the Rabbis (Matt 23) and the Written Law of God which remains the same forever and is not to be added or subtracted from.
paulgem123 2 months ago
@xMoPaRx Also there was a wall around the Temple in those times called the "soreg" which the Gentiles could not pass. Peter was still in the mindset that Jews were a separate people (cause they actually thought of Gentiles as dogs) when in fact was made up by man. Numbers 15:14-16 was the standard from the beginning. All people that obeyed God's commandments gained equal inheritance. They were Hebrews those set apart for the Kingdom. Nothing has changed. Shalom in Yeshua!
paulgem123 2 months ago
@xMoPaRx So in other words, you give Paul precedence over what is considered God's word? On what grounds does Paul have this much authority? Was he a prophet from God?
How can Christians just accept what Paul preached, even if it went against what supposedly God or Jesus taught? What's to prevent a modern day Paul from changing things further? Does it concern you that you could be following a deviation from the original truth?
amuslimguy 2 months ago
Respond to this video... God made certain rules that the Jews had to follow because of their race, like not eating pork and having their sabbath on saturday. Since we are not Jewish, we do not need to do Jewish customs, but still hold the 10 commandments. also, since we are Christians, we celebrate Him on the day that he rose again, a sunday. also, in 1 Cor 16:2, Paul says that he will take collections on the first day of the week. romans 14:5-6 also says to view each day as equal

@sidthemyth
i am every piece of energy/mass/other if viewing reality as multiple things and i am the ONE when viewing reality as ONENESS.
i the one can experience multiple identity at once by separating them.
just as your arm and stomach for example have no connection and yet they are one.
this is also shown in self similarity in nature and how nature is based on a big feedback loop where the output is also the next input.
reality as we know it as a Illusion and science is slowly catching up.
topbluffa1 5 months ago
@sidthemyth
for example when you look at the Ocean with its many waves do you see
a) many waves that last for say 5 seconds some big some small some crashing upon jagged rocks some nicely washing up on a beach which then Vanish forever OR is it in reality just the ONE ocean which is not to say the ocean has no waves it means in reality each wave is a extension of the Ocean that we have given a different name as if it was separate to make things easier
topbluffa1 5 months ago
@sidthemyth so not just when the wave collapses will it become the Ocean but it has ALWAYS been the ocean and always will even when it "becomes another" wave even if it believes it is a small and unlucky wave with a short life destined to crash upon jagged rocks in reality it is the mighty undying ocean that will never die.
the illusion of mortality arises from identifying yourself with your current form and not your essence.
like a Clay Pot(Clay=Mass=Energy) who views himself as a Pot
topbluffa1 5 months ago
@sidthemyth
and as the law of conservation shows energy can never be created or destroyed only converted.
topbluffa1 5 months ago
@sidthemyth
according to Hinduism AND modern science you (not the concept of you that you have created but the real you) is reborn countless times untill the end of the universe when everything is destroyed so it can be created again (oscillating universe) in a infinite cycle (described in Vedas and only recently thought of in science) and according to science in the time when everything has been destroyed but nothing yet created we will be one with god which you could call "heaven"
topbluffa1 5 months ago
@sidthemyth
for example it is no known that the particals that make up our bodys was once a part of a Star.
so if you NOW are experiencing life and your conciousness in you 999.999.999,978th form why do you think when you are reborn for the 999.999.999,979th time say a fish do you think that being will have no conciousness?
some people to this will say "well its not me being reborn" to those people i saw was you not you then when you was Born? as a baby is not "you" in terms of personality.

be reborn in this life
sidthemyth 5 months ago

wrong we will continue to be reborn untill god draws creation back into himself and we become one with God this rest period could be called Heaven and then it will all start up again this makes sense according to modern science your theory however has NO scientific backing .
here is how science works you have a concept then you look for evidence..... there is evidence for Hindu concepts but not for Christian sorry.
but unlike you i dont think you will burn in hell for not being hindu

the fun thing is we are only concious of the little bit we call ourselves and therefore get to feel like we are separate from the world and other people/things and never get bored
topbluffa1 5 months ago
@topbluffa1 thinking you actually control these things, or everything that goes on, is superficial, and far from the truth. you are right though, we are concious of little; and many get seperated from eachother for many reasons.

you don't seem to of grasped what i said, and the bible is wrong in terms of its concepts on the soul the afterlife creation, god, the fate of the universe, the age of the universe, evolution. the list goes on.
Hinduism is correct and ahead of modern science on all of these areas and modern science is only recently admitting things like
a)everything is ultimately made of the same undying essence.
b)energy/mass can NEVER be Destroyed OR created only converted.
c) Oscillating universe
