no one ever claimed ME to be a hughe free rpg game. Its a good action game with a awsome linear story. You cant make free choises since that aint the point. thay have alredy decided who shepeard is. We are only left with chosing her/his attitude and that is true roleplaying. ps side missions in ME sucks, hate cold planets

.one bad thought if your original character goes to mass 2 then there needs to be more levels like to one hundred or something because if you start at sixty and thats the limit ya you will see all the cool stuff quick but you will get severely bored the second time through when you start a new character. and shepard cant be dead if your mass1 guy is in the mass 2

The game received very high ratings across the board, as do almost all of Bioware's RPGs. It's fine that you dislike it, sure, but just because you have an opinion different than that of the masses doesn't mean it's any more accurate.

here's some improvements. RPGs are meant to be open, not linear like Mass Effect. you're meant to have sidequests, not tons of empty planets. you're meant to make choices in dialogue, but in Mass Effect if you choose evil instead of good he says almost the exact same thing in a slightly angrier tone, and you still get directed to the same dialogue path. The gameplay is like a broken FPS, the combat is really just terrible. the game is absolutely linear and boring.

The plot sucks dick, it's a huge cliche and it's formulaic. It's pretty much the same story as KOTOR, shows how uncreative bioware are. they are simply the worst popular developer out there at the moment. if other companies start to follow bioware's example, it will be the death of quality RPG gaming.
