This a great video, it's been years since I raced at Bay Racing, I remember how nerve racing it was my first time doubling through the six pack, I can't imagine tripling through there. That is incredible
@bmxstreetrider123 when you are riding a tight rhythm section you wanna case the jumps a little bit with your back tire, that way your suspension sinks down before hand and doesnt start pogo-ing you everywhere. It is also really important to keep your bike balanced in the air so you land with both tires at about the same time. if it is at a practice track you can plan on going on the side of the next jump after you land to get each individual jump dialed in.
How did you upload your video without it being choppy? i have a gopro hero hd and my videos come up choppy on the computer. Please help me out. thanks
@Hoodie24andMOH its because of your graphics card on your computer you need to update it if you have a pc i had a pc and got a mac and with my mac it doesn't com out choppy at all because of the graphics card the have built in.
@squantotheboywonder dont get a honda. They have the WORST valve train, and my buddy's 2010 has had alot of problems, and I havent heard any better about the 2011. Go with either a 2011-2012 KTM 250sxf, 350, or a 250sx. OR get a yamaha or Kawi. I personally wont buy a japanese EFI bike, because of the TERRIBLE reliability and TERRIBLE power. But thats just my 2 cents.
@MotoX179 ok. thanks for the info. im not a big fan of KTM so i will probably get a yamaha since i have a blaster and its 22 years old and still running.
@squantotheboywonder yamahas are good, but their BITCHES to adjust valves on (only the 250f's) because they use a 5 valve design. like I said, either go with a 2010 Kawi, or a new KTM. Sure, your not a fan of KTM now, But once you actually ride one and own one, you will instantly fall in love with it. Just think, KTM's are easier to work on, cheaper to work on, more reliable, higher quality, and are Lighter and more powerful with the best suspension. What more could you ask for?
@squantotheboywonder then get a 2 stroke. 2005 crfs are worse than the current crf's. Go get yourself an 05/06 yz250 2 stroke. They havent changed much between then and 2012, so as long as you get one that runs good and is in good shape (no dents in pipe, etc) youll be good to go. Im going back to a 2 stroke myself, because 4 strokes cost to much to maintain.
@MotoX179 well i was kinda looking to get a 4stroke cause i have an rm125 but want to see what the 4s are like. how are they to expensive maintain and also my 125 wont idle for some reason. it starts first kick cold or warm but when i stop it stalls. and it smells kinda funny when im done riding. idk if it has always been there and i just havent noticed oe if its something new. i run 2 ounces of synthetic racing oil for every gallon of regular gas.
@squantotheboywonder Im canadian so I dont use ounces, But I run 50:1. Our gallon is also a bit bigger than yours, so I dont know what that would be in american gallons. Also, Synthetic racing oil? Do you mean motor oil? Thats not supposed to be mixed with your fuel. Your supposed to use Premix oil (of any kind, but amsoil, Motorex, redline, Maxima, and Opti-2 are the most commonly used). I personally use Opti-2.
@squantotheboywonder And 4 strokes are expensive to maintain because you have to buy oil filters every 2nd oil change, and change the oil every 3-5 rides with High quality oil ($15 an oil change). I think your bike needs a top end, and maybe needs to get re-jetted. While your at it, put some V-Force or Boysen reeds in it, because that could be another reason it isnt idling right. Also, 4 strokes are BORING. And adjusting the valves is annoying, and so are the extra 1000 little moving parts.
@MotoX179 ok. yeah looks like i will stick with the 2 stroke. dont get me wrong i love 2 strokes i just wanted to see what everyone was going on about with the 250f's. do have any idea how much it would cost to get it re-jetted and new reeds and top end? if i end up doing the top end im just going to do top and bottom. its been about 3-4 years since the last rebuild. and the kid i bought it from raced on weekends and at the county fair.
@squantotheboywonder id probably say $250 for the top end, maybe $300 for reeds with the reedcage (V-Force 3). What is happening with your bike, is your carb is running to rich (to much fuel), so your getting alot of build up in your cylinder. When you open your bike up, the dried up fuel and premix on your piston will get REALLY hot and will start smelling as it burns.
@MotoX179 alright thanks. if i keep running it without getting it fixed will i burn through the piston? cause i think thats what happened to my 88 blaster.
@squantotheboywonder If its getting to much fuel, and your rings are shot, and your riding it hard, Yes, I would say you will crack the piston and fry the motor.
@MotoX179 ill probably have to wait a while before i can fix it to. i just bought a truck so i have like no money. i bought the truck for mu dirtbike for next week. this sucks lol. time to work 2 full time jobs again haha. but it will all be good when i graduate next year. going to be an on call fireman and go to school then either law enforcement or army.
@plazma619 Get the sxf im a 2 stroke rider but you should start on a four stroke and make your way up to a 2 stroke. 2 strokes have alot more power where as 4 strokes are more predictable. 2 stroke + BRAAAAAPPP 4 stroke = clug cluuuuuuuuug
@skippysk8r78 sorry dude its the other way around for a lot of riders. start on the 2 stroke cause they make u actually ride the bike and learn to pick better lines for more traction since that 4 strokes have more throttle control and not a powerband that gonna slam on you. so u get on the 4 stroke and use ur 2 stroke abilities to ride the easier to ride 4 stroke harder.
@skippysk8r78 actually 2 strokes are really easier to control imo, 2 stroke only have power high in revs so its easier just to ride and get used to it, 450 4 strokes are just nothing but power
@DrumHonda The new 450fs are for wimps get a 2011 CR500AF from service Honda it makes 65 horsepower stock that is a monster bike with 60 ft pounds of torque or a 2011 Maico 700 2 stroke

@automatic420 idiot? cant u read.. i said 150r not 250r u blind hick, go to specsavers i think theres a deal on at the moment but wait.. u cant read so whats the point in telling you
@moneymikeplayer so do 4 strokes and also if you compair a 2 stroke rebuild ($80 - $300) and a 4 stroke rebuild ($400 - $1000) a 2 stroke is worth it... but that's just my opinion i ride an 01 rm 250 and an 05 rm-z 450
daaaaaammmmnnn son youve got some REAL balls man, that track looks sooo fast. haha i have an rm250 08, but would NEVER ride it that fast or hard (too scared). Nice riding man keep it up
@Motoshooter308 I have a GoPro HD wideanlge lense aswell and i use it on my motorbike when ridng on road and stuff and trust me it doesnt give a sense of the speed your doing and he definatly not riding slow
@seeker292 Yeah, I have had a lot of problems with the back brake, I might just use it too much, but now we flush the fluid every few races and it won't happen again.

@automatic420 idiot? cant u read.. i said 150r not 250r u blind hick, go to specsavers i think theres a deal on at the moment but wait.. u cant read so whats the point in telling you
S2MGamiinG 10 months ago
@TheKtmriderz yeah that's why all the pros race with 4 strokes.
mratvrider96 10 months ago
@TheKtmriderz they arent cause 2 strokes just blow up if u hammer them all the time
moneymikeplayer 9 months ago
@moneymikeplayer so do 4 strokes and also if you compair a 2 stroke rebuild ($80 - $300) and a 4 stroke rebuild ($400 - $1000) a 2 stroke is worth it... but that's just my opinion i ride an 01 rm 250 and an 05 rm-z 450

I have a 250 sx but i cant tell by the sound. A little more like a 125 to me, but the 4 stoke is probably a 450 thats the only way it copuld win

@cale168 still fast. really fast so you werre running with no back break?
seeker292 1 year ago
@seeker292 Yeah, I have had a lot of problems with the back brake, I might just use it too much, but now we flush the fluid every few races and it won't happen again.
