Steve is way to much of a control freak. But Danno should also just sit back and enjoy not having to drive all the time. I would so love to just sit back and relax while someone else is driving my car or not. Its the least Steve can do after everything he puts Danno through.

Also Danny always insists that Steve drives his car, but still he let's him. Personally, I think it's one of two reasons: 1.) Danny actually likes Steve playing driver or 2.) If they get into an accident he knows just who to blame. Lol. idk.

Actually it is a police car! Danny has a different kind of car.

@JPPT1974 Danny had a Mustang in the Pilot, but traded it in for a Camaro when production started, thanks in large part to GM/Chevy's sponsorship of the series. The car may be HPD issue, and assigned to Danny, but more than likely it is Danny's car, modified with lights because Danny is an HPD detective and a member of 5-0.
