Hi. Can anyone tell me of a great cheesesteak sandwichvendors other than Pat's or Geno's? I moved from NYC to Dover, De and i visit philly to explore but im totally unfamiliar with any places outside Center City.

I love to hit Larry's Steaks on the campus of St. Joseph's Univ.-(54th & City Line ave.) but I've been wanting to try chink's for a minute. They always have those commercials on 610 WIP & all that. That's in the Northeast right??? Is it really that good??

yes there steaks are amazing...no grisstle, and you know how if you ask for like, extra american cheese they don't give it to you? At chink's they load it with cheese. and they also have hot dogs, burgers, and milkshakes. the vanilla shakes are BEASTLY!

Tourist traps.. In my opinion they both have the worst cheesesteaks.. the reason why? Because they have to mass produce them and put them together quick. Steves Prince of Steaks is pretty good too (as far as the pizza steaks go which Pats lacks). Most places cook the cheese with the meat but Pats doesn't do that. I think its because their cheese wiz is so popular.

The owner of Geno's is in hot water for his sign that says, "This is America - when ordering, please speak English".

One of Joey Vento's employees was severely beaten outside Geno's the first week of 2008 because of that sign - at least that's what the suspect had said to Tony Chestnut, the employee who was body-slammed, etc.!

I love Geno's so much! They make great steaks, but if there is a long line, I recommend going to Steaks on South for a pretty good steak. I haven't ever tasted a bad steak in philly though.
