I understand that the coaches were late leaving 70000 30 min. behind schedual. She left MK within 4 mins from arrival I suppose to make up time. Also at MK the staff are very good for the photgraphers but always keeping an eye out for those who try and spoil it for others. Was at Ludlow for the Tornado and Castle and the staff there were "Jobs worth" and tended to get peoples backs up and this spoils the moment. Just Subscribed, Kind Regards,Dave.

@52foxbat Hi. Thanks for the subscription. I don't what the problem was at Southall but Brit arrived when she was due to depart. Then she had to go and get water on 18. That took 25 minutes including the manouvering across the Euston throat. What a get away though and I'm impressed as to how driver and Brit recovered the time. Barry

Nice one Barry, pity about that elbow, pehaps you should have edited that bit out. Do you use an external mic, a directional one would surely have picked up the sound through and after the tunnel much better.

Nice shot, I like the head on approach. If possible try standing further back from the engine so we can see more of her as she goes past. I like the acceleration sound she made. Are the station staff at Euston friendly?

Very good Barry - lovely atmospheric smoke and steam effects. Good acceleration too. When it came through Watford it was fairly belting along. Looks like we've got to wait many months for the next steamer through Watford! :-(

Fantastic departure shot. 70000 is certainly a powerful beast. I filmed the departure of 70000 at Northampton Station midway on the return journey, not as sure footed as this departure though. Good stuff -Hayden.
