i am travelling to UK this week, and i am thinkin of buying the ps3...

is the ps3 110v-240v 50hz-60hz or something similar?

if you can please answer me!!! i have that doubt

i dont know what you mean by hertz as that has nothing to do with ps3 as far as im concerned

secondly the UK ps3's run on a 240volts because all UK homes have 240volts power. Which country are you coming from?

I am not sure i will buy it in the UK you know, i will check the electricity problem before, if compatible, i will buy it for sure. if i dont buy it, i will buy games, that are twice expensive aswell here in argentina, and then get the console here in Arg.

I use 'that stupid AV cable'. I used to have to because I didn't go HD 'til december 09. Now I still use the cable because I play on a monitor, meaning I need a seperate audio output to the HDMI lead

It looks like a good revision to the ps3, but I can,t see why anyone who already has the old ps3 would need it, the ps3 I would really want instead would be the US launch model with hardware backwards compatibility and 4 usb ports

the old ps3s have a higher chance of a failure rate compared to the slim, the slims cooling system is more effieicent and it runs quieter than the old ps3

yea it is good, its ever so quiet when playing games, it has a good cooling system, its lighter, uses less power and is smalled obviously!! It is a good buy in my opinion

it is not flimsy, ppl seem to think its a smaller version which means its made out of cheap matieral, well it is very strong, if you drop it from a distance on the floor im still not sure whether it will break, and the fan runs alot cooler compared to the fat models
