@redsunflower67 karma collected from the past life. as we understand that karma does not have to come back at us in the this life, it could come back at us in the next.
@redsunflower67 because there is no god and anything can happen at any time. Even if there isgod hes pretty fukin useless in preventing bad things from happening.. Also since anything can happen at any time, how can something be pre-determined.. that makes no sense. fuck god, enjoy your life, if u need god to make you happy go for it but i would think about it very little. I love when people say god interfered in their life and saved them its just nuts
i do think God is affected by our prayers though... : )) “I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who know this perfectly engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.”(Bhagavad-Gita 10.8)
He's very good! He tells the truth of what he knows to be truth...not a fake master like most of the ones who are after money and material things...great job!...love this guy!
It's so great to have an intellectual yogi who's not out to make a profit with trickery. the whole "new age" trend makes me almost want to throw up when i start to meditate.
The media and Chopra and Oprah, even the majority of yogis, and all these people have cheapened this wonderful practice and turned it into a money machine. The simplicity of the whole thing is lost on Oprah's audience.
I am so glad this yogi is setting things straight for free on the internet. Chopra's DVD's are 130$...
So what is meant to be is merely what we want to be, therefor is. As hard as it is to grasp, what ever your feeling or is being felt is attracting that parallel. What he is saying ties into the law of attraction. As to weather that is true or not i don't know, but it works for me. We need to stop asking our self's why and instead ask ourselves why not.
If there is some sort of higher power that mapped out the fates and destinies of ALL human beings, then there can only be one of two scenarios; Either all are welcomed into the same place after this life, or there can be no hereafter at all. I don't think it makes sense for someone like Hitler, for example, to be sent to hell for eternity if he never really had control over his own actions in any real way, and was only being stringed along like a puppet by some sort of higher being(s).
not predetermined but revenge. In your previous life he killed you so you kill him in this life. That's karma. This will go on and on. After learning about Buddhism, I came to realise this and I promise myself that if ever anybody kills me, then in my dying moments I will not feel anger nor feel revengeful. This is the only way to break the cycle.
is it just me or does anyone else resent wayne dyer being able to plant his face with a paid ad where we don't necessarily want it? it's paid for "spirituality".
We all live to our own convienence..when life is good we pat ourself on the back and say it us who made it so..when things go bad we blame others never look at ourself..Until one does not understand that it is the bad that makes way for the good it is the bad that we are here to learn from it is the bad that we have to accept so we can move on to our next level..
no, a giant all powerful invisible space daddy made us and then he made diseases, bacterias, viruses, parasites, and then he started killing us off by the millions through natural disasters and then he sent the people he killed to hell...because he loves us all
What he's trying to say is that a lot of people think that when something good happens to them or they do something well, it's because of God, but if something bad happens or they do something wrong, it's their fault. They see it differently depending on what happens. Their beliefs aren't constant. And I completely agree that it's all a big lie.
With other words, we are responsible for our own live. We create our own world. Do you create your own world? Do you believe, that you can create a better world to be an enlightened master? For me this is a serieus question.
See I think that is true to some extent. But I don't think you can merely change reality by thinking about it. For example no matter how hard I think about being an amazing guitarist I can't get there without practice. Or if I think I can fly that certainly doesn't mean I can.
But I do agree that on some level or thoughts shape ourselves and our world. I think in some way it is the how much of yourself you let shine through by choosing to focus on certain thoguhts.
i was hoping he would have elaborated on his thoughts about why people use those words to substitute saying that they don't feel they have control of their own lives. an what we could do to stop thinking that way.

To me he seemed like contradicting himself. Nice explanation of god. But the thing about coincidence wasn't very convincing.

what's not to understand?
your destiny is constantly evolving due to your your own actions...
and coincidences exist but are nothing more than random acts and have no hidden meaning

We all go to the same place.
God is like the parent who continues to love their child even after they have written with crayons all over the wall.

anyone who believes in god and determism is very stupid and contradicts the whole free will idea,
think about it...if i am predetermined to kill the person nexts to me then i did not choose to be evil therefore i cannot be punished

we are the creators of our reality, we are living a self fulfilling Prophecy. every thought creates form on some level, physical, emotional, global.
The Buddha said "you are what u think, all that u are arises with your thoughts, with your thoughts u create your reality.

Fate and Free Will cannot coexist. Since life without Free Will has no meaning, it is safe to say there is no Fate.
