  • Top stuff, thanks!

  • Oh my goodness!, i'm in New Romantic heaven :D!!...i'm not familiar with the show, "Sounds", but after watching this episode, i think it's great :D :D!!!...luv'd every single interview of this episode, Thanks for uploading :D :D :D!!..

  • Just a bit of information about Sounds. It was the very first Rock Video show in the world. Before SOUNDS first show in 1974; no other music program dedicated three hours of air time to only rock video clips. Most music programs focused on live footage or in-studio performances. Donnie Sutherland, was pretty much the world's first VJ.

'SOUNDS' also launched the career of many aspring film-makers including Russell Mulcahy - who became a well-known film director ('Rambo', just to name one).

  • WOW!!, Thanks for the info Welovedonnie :D, very ineresting indeed :D!!

  • It's cool... I'll be seeing Donnie tonight on his boat cruise across the Sydney habour. Fingers crossed I can get more episodes from him.

Just to note: Russell Mulcahy ('SOUNDS' original film-maker/director) also directed The Buggles 'Video Killed The Radio Star' video. He also directed numberous videos for the following artists: Duran Duran, Rod Stewart, Bonnie Tyler, Elton John, Spandau Ballet, Kim Carnes, Icehouse, The Tubes, Ultravox, Billy Joel... his wikipedia page lists more...

  • Thanks Ryan-my fave Roxy song.

I think some of the Rich Kids used to play with Visage, too.

  • lol, i keep forgetting the Midge Ure link in Visage. Amazing... Rich Kids and Visage seem like worlds apart.
