i play this game ith some mexican friends of mine. the only difference is they dont use the 1 or 2 balls. the three is on the spot and is worth 6 points. plus they try to billiard in the 15 on the first shot.
I think it's just great the way it piss you guys off with that sound thats what it's suppose to do !!...lol It's a sharking trick and if you dont think it dont work just read all of the comments....lol
wheres the first videos where the cue ball was heading towards the side pocket at the last shot??? even tho it was gonna scratch. it was a nice out on all the balls.
@ExecutiveBilliards this is the first (and only) video, just edited out the beginning and end. the last shot did not scratch, but it got real close. I edited out the beginning and ending so that the focus is just on the shot making.
quoted from elsewhere, this dude is chalking his tip flat out wrong: Do no drill a hole in the chalk. This only gets chalk on the very center of the tip and all over the ferrule. You want to ensure that chalk is covering the entire tip surface area. Like Minnesota Fats used to say, "Chalk your tip like a lady puts on lipstick."
To all those who comment about the chalking method, I sincerely suggest that when You can run this table, then You can legitimately critique Others. Meanwhile, the unorthodox chalking method is clearly Not in any way causing problems for the shooter, only for those watching. I have long ago concluded that this is a subtle sharking technique used to mess with an opponent's mind. I would venture to suggest that this particular shooter could run this table with NO chalk whatsoever...
@lopside0 He wasn't turning it to drill a hole, he was moving it side to side quickly to get a sharp high pitched noise. It's a sharking technique, just like when people walk into an opponent's shot to mess with depth perception. You can see at 3:07 that he chalks it normally, showing that he knows the right way.
Good shot making, but I had to watch it on mute. That squeaking is highly irritating O.o and if that's a Moori soft tip, it's not gonna last very long by chalking like that, and considering they're $30 a piece plus repair cost, I wouldn't be too keen on replacing my tip very often =P
I played and learned from Tony as well as FastMikie69 here. Played with Tony for 3 years and he told me, the last time he changed his tip was 5 years prior to me meeting him. Thats 8 years for a moori soft. It is his Off turn routine that keeps his tip in top notch play.
He uses a tip pick and side SHAVER not a scoufer EVERY time he is not shooting. By doing this, the tip NEVER gets Glossy
This is an interesting challenge and I like the video, but the original poster is wrong, this is not the only game they play in Honduras and I know this for a fact.
@ddduuullleee it got close, but did not scratch. I was there (duh, I took the video!), and it sure looked like it was going to drop, but it stayed on the table, for a perfect runout.
This is a demanding series of shots executed in perfect succession highlighting, brilliantly, the use of inside english.
Indeed, Sorto was definitely calibrated to inside-follow evidenced by the fact that he strokes the 15 in the same way.
He worked some serious stroke on the 13. I can't tell his angle on the shot precisely (camera angle), but I know it got close to the raggedy edges of making that bank go. Especially as far as the double kiss and yet to force through and around... Bravo.
by the way, do u know what kind of tips he was using? must be a really hard tip by the sound of the chalking. i get that sound chalking my phenolic tip on my break cue lol
@vincentwu Actually, Sorto uses a Moori soft tip. He goes through them quickly, partly because of the harsh chalking and partly because the soft tip deforms (mushrooms) quickly and he uses the UltiMate tip tool to reshape it frequently.
this drill is insane. great upload mikie, i dunno if u remember me but we talked during the streaming of the socal ladies tour. really enjoyed ur videos
@parliamentlights your comment about how Sorto chalks was deleted because of your inability to express your thought without expletive and invective. however he does use a moori tip and uses blue chalk.
@kolaas2006 yeah, I kinda liked that too, but it's more pure pool now. plus, I get tired of hearing myself scream like a girl after the first 100 times, but I never get tired of the pool...
wow! what exquisite playing. At shot 2:48 you really stepped it up. nice work on taking those difficult and fun shots. you truly have a great talent for this game. Nice work man!

Dude Stop squeaking the chalk all you are doing is just rubbing it on the pherol.

is that a phenolic tip or what, if i was playing you in a match id kill myself if i had to listen to that
bicmyflic25 7 months ago
@bicmyflic25 that's a Moori soft tip! yes, the noise is very irritating, and that's possibly one reason why he does it, as a sharking maneuver.
fastmikie69 7 months ago
@fastmikie69 ive noticed the break/jump cues make that noise real bad, its hard to believe thats a moori soft
bicmyflic25 7 months ago
@bicmyflic25 why kill yourself just throw a peice of chalk at his head.

Hahaha albinario. All that for a scratch at the end. Nice pocketing though.
ExecutiveBilliards 1 year ago
@ExecutiveBilliards : actually, there was a near-scratch at the end, but of course it did not drop, so the runout was perfect.

mad class shooting! I replayed that 13 ball at least five times, what a ridiculous bank! Amazing feat on the overall, looks like a great game.

hello mikie,
I like your video, congratulations!
a curiosity, what measure the hole in your pool?
is a Brunswick ?
excuse my bad English
greetings from Italy!
;-)
jigen75 1 year ago
@jigen75 the table is a standard Brunswick Gold Crown IV with Simonis 760.
fastmikie69 1 year ago
ok thanks, but in the U.S., which measures are the holes?
seem closer to those we use in Italy ...
jigen75 1 year ago
@jigen75 I measure the corner pockets at 5" from point to point at the widest point at the top of the cushion. Side pockets are 5.25".
fastmikie69 1 year ago
@fastmikie69
I was wrong, the measures are equal ....
mikie thanks!
