I was in Gibraltar in 1979 when I was in the Army.

Going back with my Wife this year just for old times sake.

I just found out recently, while doing my Family tree, that my Great Great Great Grandmother was from Gibraltar, so it seems that i will carry a little bit of Gib with me forever.

I adore Gibraltar. I lived there 25 years ago and my son was born there. I was very upset to return to UK. Does anyone know if Edinburgh house is still there? it looks like a Marina is now where the sailing club used to be. I am visiting Gib this weekend for the first time in 25 years, and am very excited.Can't wait!

Jane, as you will know by now, Edinburgh House is still there. The military have moved out and locals live there now.

My uncle lives at No1.

If your sone was born there, he should have the right to citizenship and can obtain a GIB i.d. My mother (r.i.p.)was Gibraltarian which entitles myself, my wife and my children all to citizenship. We all carry our i.d cards with pride. We often use them instead of our passports.
