Surprise surprise - Nikon will be using the new SONY XQD card format in their D4 - just another example of how SONY are taking Nikon over one piece at a time....
Nikon V1 & J1 were designed without help from SONY and look how bad they are.
Entirely overpriced. You can get great four-thirds sensor cameras for less, and for all the razzle-dazzle of the new Sony Nex series, just keep your Nikon lenses and buy a Nikon D5100 for $650 and get OVER it.

Note that Jessops are ALREADY offering a package worth £300 off anyone buying the new V1 - kind of proves that Nikon now understand that they have got the price WRONG ! Good luck Nikon selling many after the 1st rush - your gonna need it !
Notice that Nikon is trying to hit back against the tidal wave of negative press - check out AP mag this week - seems that it NOT about the TINY senor just features !!
This is selling for what medium range DSLRs sell for. It's well into the low end of the "professional photographer" price range. Can it outshoot a Nikon DSLR with the same lens range? If I want to go out and shoot birds at the lake at 50 yards, how will it perform by comparison to a similarly priced Nikon DSLR? What makes it better for shooting portraiture or wide angle landscapes? Who are the target demographic for this camera? It seems very limited by comparison to similarly priced cameras.
@Mindcrime121 Considering the limitation of lenses availible, and the state of the art, there is no valid reason they couldn't have made it considerably higher for the price they are charging. You can get a 10mp camera with far better selection of lenses availible for a lot less money.
@Mindcrime121 it's the auto focus and sensor that is the main selling point, its far better than any point and shoot 10mp on the market to date. and also, this is the 1st generation, so expect much greater things from this.
