Not really, each gun has its strengths and weaknesses.

Shotuguns:

Pros- Massive damage at close range, good for hiding out during survival instances

Cons- Long reload time, short clips, completely useless at long range

Machine Guns:

Pros- Great at any range but point-bank, fast reload, extreme rate of fire

Cons- Rate of fire chews through ammo, not recommended at point blank, better to use pistol and save ammo for massive hordes

It all just depends on your tastes.

If the Uzi has the ability to shoot much further than a shotgun and continue to be accurate, then we are not talking about realistic Uzi's.

But my reasoning for not using machine guns is I already run out of ammo and I conserve it quite a bit.

And Zoey likes Francis. In the earlier versions, there was meant to be an implied romance between the two, but it was mostly cut simply because it didn't seem to fit, so they just kept in some slight sexual tension between the two.
