Surely there must be more than the idea of two different work environments rotating around two sides of a central item, but if not, that seems pretty weak.

"That guy gets the head of a moose on the wall, and you're stuck under the rear of one." That really just doesn't scream clever or funny to me personally.

I feel like I could write a more sensible ad with this premise while in a coma. That's bad, Monster..com or CareerBuilder or whatever.

its funny because of the contrast between these polarized positions. its also unexpected. we dont expect him to be working under the rear end of the moose, and the implication is both literal and metaphorical about being crapped on. its also funny because the boss is either indifferent or oblivious to his minion's situation. and hes right on the other side of the wall. its just a funny contrast.

It's a good commercial, not because it's funny, but because it allows viewers to sympathize with the character, and offers them hope in the form of the advertiser's product.

The goal is not to entertain you. The funny is there to make it memorable and more importantly today: web-shareable.
