1. dont fold the vinyl flooring like this guy does , u have to be more carefull with folds as it may make marks in the vinyl surface.
2. This guy uses the wrong tool for applying the adhesive on the floor.....The tool he is using is ment for tile adhesive and leaves too much adhesive on the floor....wich results in bubbles and air pockets . And secondly, u poor some adhesive on the floor , not small amounts like he does. Just to avoid spilling and mess!
@Zvimen you really don't have to be very careful with vinyl at all, that's the beauty of it, if it's 100% pure vinyl it wont crack or mark. It may take on a whiteish tinge, that can easily be removed with a heat gun.
@Zvimen you want to be a little careful with a paperbacked rotogravure vinyls to not rip or tear the back as this can cause lumps under it. sometimes it can tear at outside corners if your not careful. Also that is exactly the trowel that should be used as well. They're called versa blades, because with can take the handle off and switch to a new blade with a different tooth size. You can't really see exactly what size he's using, but it look like the right size to me.
@Zvimen Commercial vinyl require you to use very small teeth (1/16x1/16x1/16). but commercial flooring in a whole different animal. Roll it with a 100lbs roller to push any bubbles out first allong the width then along the length. Don't talk sh*t unless you know. Representing Floorlayers Union Local 1541. Quality Craftsmen
i realized that when he instructed to "remove the lid from the bucket". i've been trying to spead adhesive on my floor for 7 years now, i didn't know u have to open the bucket? no wonder it's not working.
Every thing shown here is the wrong way to do it. People call a certfied installer. do your self a favor. this does more harm then good. he is using the wrong trowl notch he has it on an angle he has no rollerno gule line or shows no indcataion. etc...
@TRiiiGER26 Where do you find (certfied) installers?, (gule) lines? Or (indcataion) Man, you really need to "do yourself a favor" and invest in a spelling text book, or at least learn how to use spell checker before you go and criticize someone for all the world to see. I sure as hell hope you have a permanent guaranteed job and never have to fill out a job application... Good luck functioning in todays world.

I hate to bag anyone. but did he sweep the floor? Trowel sounds it was running over rocks.
He should have started squawking like a chicken while he was scratching around.
And no glue line to trowel to?
