  • I've only played for like 3 months and i can play this but definitely not as fast!

  • This is amazing!!!!! I have been a flute player for 11 years. I find this wonderful! This is one of my pieces for my flute audition at ASU this spring coming up. Now, it's definitely not at this speed, but I find this absolutely amazing. :) I admire your talent! And to everyone who is insulting you, GO AWAY. It takes a lot to be able to do half of what he did. You have NO idea. Flute is a very difficult instrument to master.

  • YOU ARE GREAT! WOW

  • very inspirational. thank you

  • I have accompanied flautists for this particular flute sonata (I play harpsichord), and your speed is spot on. Consistent. I cannot speak of the phrasing because I do not play flute, but your articulation is good - to be flawless at this speed takes a great deal of work. And by the way, it does not sound like someone typing fast - keep up the good work and keep practicing. I would love to accompany u on this sonata. Well done my friend and keep at it!!!

  • To those who insult this; you must have some musical experience to have the gall to insult this man.

Though he is playing the piece incorrectly, the speed at which he plays is at the very least a "professional" level. With proper guidance he could become great unlike those who carelessly try to insult others to make it seem as though they know better.

Anyways, great performance sir. I thank you for posting this video and allowing me to hear such great music.

  • wow. wow. wow.

  • omg BEAST

  • man i wish i could play like that!

  • Wow, were you in a hurry to get somewhere? Just kidding. I can't either articulate that fast or get my fingers going at that pace - must take a lot of practice!

  • wow that's fast... I think you went a little too fast; i could barely enjoy the music.

  • how do you play so well and so fast your staccato: I'm 13 and I play the flute a lot but I can't play staccato fast. Do you have a trick to do that?

  • Yes, I have: study, study and study! Bye!

  • @bachmozartjoris double tongue

  • Sounds like someone typing fast. Not musical at all.

  • @Rexicano

Most Bach pieces they take time to understand and have little immediate appeal. Try to listen to this piece, deeply concentrated, 25 times at you will start discovering what makes Bach what he is.

  • Oh nonsense;

Don't try and tell me every note Bach wrote was Gold and I just need to listen until I'm brainwashed.

Some pieces just ARE NOT GOOD!

But the POINT is he's RUINING this piece. His tone & phrasing suck.

And you SORMU...you play out of tune on BWV 1030.

I've been at this music longer than you have.

  • lol i play this in my warm ups for flute lessons :]

  • Very very good to play it so fast :P i can get it to about half ure speed. in saying that only needs to be played at 1/3rd of what u play it at but thats pretty fantastic. ure double tonguing is excellent as well.

just be careful cause alot of bits blurr together and its tying together to much :P

    but excelent job.

  • Amazing...I have to play this in a few months for a college audition!

    How long have you played??

  • I hope you didn't play it this quickly at your audition...

  • AMAZING, you're a great representant of flute players!

  • i have 2 do this song for solo and ensemble next year and this video actually is helping me.THANKS!!!!

  • i thought that was a solo and ensemble piece wat state???

  • A parte qualche leggerissima imprecisione, buona tecnica.

    Ciao e grazie x i complimenti.

  • that was amazing!! i shivered!! lol =D

    beautiful simply beautiful!!

  • More than great! :)

  • are u single tongueing double tongueing??? wut r u doin?? by the way it sounds OMG amazing O_O

  • Sei un Genio! :-)

  • omg....i am so jealous.

  • bravo.

im playing this soon for a recital

i wish i could get it up to the tempo your at.

  • Sehr sehr gut !!! Und aber sehr schenell!!!!

  • I played this for an audition on tenor sax. Obviously I didn't play it as fast since it's just not possible to tongue that quickly on a sax (I got about 108-112 for a quarter note).

  • My fingers are tired just listening...amazing.

  • Lol, I have to perform this soon. I find it difficult as well. I dunno how to tounge at all but somehow I'm gonna have to learn to double tounge this piece

  • Why do you play it so fast ?

    Russell

    scherzo ovviamente!!!!!!!

  • WOW! this rocks. really, how you tongue so fast...

Ciao

  • Excelent!!!

I play Flute too, and for me this is Extremly dificult!!

    Congrats for ur talent!!!:D!

    XDDDDD!

  • Really awesome played, but gay shirt :o

  • ah, thx, and sorry for the shirt!!

  • ohh. good playing! Could you do the first movement for this Sonata (andante)? Just curious

  • wow

Comunque grazie.

  • Dude, your accompanist would be dying! haha.

A Little too fast, but to each his own on interpretation. You did it very clean though (you know that though, otherwise I doubt you would've posted it. not meaning to insult your intelligence)

but yeah, when I played this piece with an accompanist, I gained a much better understanding of this mvmt as with all of the bach sonatas because the parts are interdependent. =)

JS Bach actually didn't write this one,

but it's credited to him. =) nice work tho

  • a lot of notes, but that's it...

it's really boring to listen to if you play it like that

  • Are you maybe new to Bach and unfamiliar with this famous piece? If so I understand you quite well, actually.

To enjoy most Bach compositions two things are needed: 1. A heart and mind for 'complex' music. 2. Even so: investment of time - don't expect it to mean much the first 10-20 times you hear it.

Then, at least if you are like me, Bach suddenly starts to shake your soul and you discover an incredible greatness you never knew existed in music.

  • actually i'm studying at the conservatory in Maastricht (Holland) so i know the piece by heart actually :p

i like the piece, just not the way he plays it

  • Could some of you can let me know what this song real name is? IS is really J.S.Bach?

  • yes it's bach: a movement of C sonata. Bye

  • Lovely, just lovely.

  • I tried this song and I gave up:( You plays great!

  • thx. But don't consider this my interpretation. i play this slowly a little bit, in concerto. i sing much more.

  • You play this just about as fast as Rhonda Larson although she doesn't play it with the repeats.

    That was awesome!

  • omg

wow, that's all I have to say

  • Oh my goodnes... College freshman.. I am sochanging majors..kidding.. lol

  • Woah O_o It's totally amazing, you play very good ! Good job

  • Oh My God? Where is the soul of Bach?... too fast...

  • I'm playing this, but I think I play it almost twice as slow as you at the moment, ahaha.

  • Terrific! Those fast chords could use a bit more resonance. Maybe play it in the bathroom (instead of singing :) Loved it, absolutely.

  • how long did it take to learn? it was great!

  • it almost sounds like polyphony its so fast

  • Oh sHHIT! :D

  • where is the baroque style?

too rush...are u using slur with a bit tongue?

  • it was a joke lol i played this piece in like 10 grade there is no way you could do it without double it would be gross...

  • waittttt.... are you single tounging some of that. It kind of sounds like that. Either way it was awesome!

  • i use double tounging here, bye

  • wonder why..when i hear fast sounds and my brain can't catch up all of each notes..i can't think of anything...my brain becomes empty

  • watev u guys say..i think it's awesome

  • I've been playing flute for about three years, I also play tenor sax and of course piccolo for marching band. I hope I get to the point one day that I can play like this. Amazing. Beautiful. I loved it.

  • I don't like it. too fast, no expression, no emotion

  • where do you get your sheet music?

  • MY friend have a music shop. Are you a flutist?

  • Ma che dici, non sono James Galway!

  • grandissimo!!..spero1giorno di diventare cm te!!

  • wow, very fluent and fast!~

  • Tell me what you think of my flute videos. Post this as a video response to my video called REAL FLUTE REAL MUSIC so more people will see it. Good job

  • Hey, this is not how Bach should be played. It sounds like your playing an etude with no music at all. Only fast playing is not impressive... But your stamina is bravo!

  • Thx, yes you are right. This seems to be an etude, not music... sorry!

  • OMG!!!! That was amazing!!!!!

  • wow bravo. how do you tongue so cleanly and quickly?

  • Hi, by studying slowly the technique. You can do anything if you love.
