According to an interview I saw David Goyer wrote a draft for Flash and wanted Ryan Reynolds to portray Wally West but somehow the studio didn t approve so it s on stand by. Goyer talked also about a darker approach of the comic but still with a pinch of humor. It s probably an awsome screenplay and we ll probably get picked up soon or later. I guess we ll have to wait to see it coming to life :)

And you're confusing Jay Garrick with Barry Allen and Infinite Crisis (the second Crisis) with Final Crisis. Wally West disappeared in Infinite Crisis and Impulse took over, the Rogues killed Impulse Flash, Wally and fam returned, and then Barry Allen, THE FLASH, came back from the dead in Final Crisis.

But then what do you do if they ever make a Justice League film? Would that mean Batman and Superman would have no memory of Barry Allen? They would have to act as if Barry died in some other way, not how he did in Crisis on Infinite Earths.
