its because you are doing it with two controllers. Heres how to do it, With only ONE control, sign in to the profile that has the golden gun, then highlight the golden lancer but dont press "A", ok next press A and then the guide button immediately after then sign out and sign in to a profile you want the lancer on when you sign in the screen should pop up asking for a redownload then just redownload and enjoy it works like that i just tried it right now. Have the other person just redownload.
