@moproducer i stand corrected....I worked it out by sound, not video and found that its way easier to play in G....so I figured that's what Garth would have done....but apparently....he's a better guitar player than I thought....my bad....i was wrong....oh so wrong!!
@danlkadf Actually, on the studio recording, they used a session player. But if you start with a first position A major (4,3,2 on fret 2) then move to an E dim (6 on fret 6, 4 on fret 5, 3 on fret 6, open 1), then Bm7 (6, 4,3,2 on fret 7), it'll be close to what they're doing.
give me a break. If you cant get it from watching this great video of it, then you need to go pratice some more. Listen to the actual song. Then come back...sheesh
Honestly, I don't know how to explain it or write it down. I pluck the strings with the first three fingers of my right hand. I learned that way since I was a kid and I have no idea how to annotate it. Sorry.
i wasnt gonna comment but i came back. i wasnt gonna comment cause of your response to cupojoe5 just make a video of the right hand in the picture to how hards that atleast can see it to visualize

it's actually played in the key of G with a capo on the 2nd fret...that's why no one plays it right
danlkadf 1 year ago
@danlkadf Even Garth? He plays it WITHOUT a capo in A. It's pretty easy to watch his videos and see this.

@danlkadf Well, then I guess Garth has never played it right.
