@b7r7u7c7e ur pushing the guys weight away from his center of gravity while driving through with your legs and hip flexers. Its easily defended by another wrestler, but its more an issue of your opponent lowering his level and getting his legs back. Thats the reason he grabs his own wrist around the back (gable grip is stronger) because he wants to keep his opponent upright.
@EdOwnz How do you know this is collegiate wrestling? Although the move is applicable in folk-style, if an Olympic coach is teaching it, he's likely speaking about freestyle.

Good move, but that's not Jim Humphrey.
That's Andy DiSabato. They both have mustaches and wrestled similar weights at OSU about 5 years apart, but not the same guy.
Definitely a move for freestyle and folk. Because of the knee block portion of the move, it wouldn't be legal in greco.
Incidentally, Reece Humphrey pulled off a very similar throw from a body lock last weekend against a kid from Michigan.

I think he's talking about greco though, so he doesn't have to worry about vulnerability to leg attacks.

staying too high makes your legs very high
giving the other guy a shot for a single or double leg
