yeah sure they have to get every pixel right... im not sure how thats relevant. its not like they place each pixel on the map... But what youre not understanding is that there is nothing under that plane which you can see. just void. its like a piece of paper spread out across the map. while minecraft has 128 layers, all being rendered at the same time. plus its INFINITE, or, almost. on crysis the things on the maps are predetirmined. in minecraft NOTHING is.

it doesnt run well on my laptop either, and mine runs SCII perfectly, i looked into it and its the world generating that makes it slow, idk if a pre generated map would do better, if not just try running it on a desktop, pretty much most of them can make it work

@kyofan2052014 Or u can build ur own or better then alien ware for way less. My buddy spent about 1700 on his custom pc and it kicks alien ware's ass. Not all in prodcut but in how much it costs. As well u get parts from a whole bunch of different places and they have more warrenty on parts, almost every part he has has lifetime warrenty. U cant get that with alien ware. But if ur really lazy and rich im sure alien ware is better haha.

Minecraft IS NOT a low end game. it only LOOKS like a low end game. the AESTHETICS of the game are in 16x16 pixels in vanilla form but it can go up to as high as you want with mods. this game has a LOT more going on on a height level then say black ops. obviously the aesthetics of black ops are better (on a different level) but it does not mean it uses any more comp memory. Since you seem to hold the stance of 'LOL NO LOOK IT'S BAD GRAPHICS LOL BAD GRAPHICS = BAD PC' I'll explain it for you. Minecraft consists of something called chunks. 1 chunk is a 16x16 area, 128 blocks deep. that's 32,768 blocks. if you can see a 9x9 chunk area, that's 2,654,208 total rendered blocks, which is normal render distance and many PCs can't handle. Far render distance=17x17 chunks..9,469,952 rendered blocks. my friend with 8g ram and a high-end processor can't handle it.

@crazybrity .... there are so many levels to minecraft, its infinite, its completely random, every single block has to know what can and cant happen to it, sand falls, water flows, cows spawn hide when they die. did i mention there are 120 something levels minecraft has to render, its why the game loads in chunks, otherwise it would seriously NEVER load all the way, if you think you can tell how high end a game is by just looking at it YOU ARE WRONG.

P.S. fps means nothing above... lets say 60.

For a game like minecraft although it is a decent game, the level of detail is terrible, making it a low end game.

@crazybrity It's not a low end game. Even good machines can be laid low by the mighty Minecraft, especially while recording. The game takes a lot more resources than it might appear to.

It runs on Java, is heavy on the hdd writes, and has a high number of vertices to render. Couple those with the fact that it uses openGL and he's more than likely playing on a laptop with integrated graphics and you've got plenty of reasons for low frame rate.

In short, go fuck yourself and read a fucking book.

Sure I can get 2700 at the title screen, but when I actually play the game I get around 300fps. This is on a new build running a 6 core 3.5ghz cpu, EVGA GeForce GTX 470, and 8GB of DDR3 memory.
