  • Your too immature to sing this song. You sing it with no soul, no class, you, you just acted through it. That's a lack of life's hard knocks.

  • @Cheekydaddyo You're*

  • Bravo Rob, you are unique :*

  • I love Robbie.. forever *_*

  • DE LOVELY XXXX WOW XXXX

  • 2.38

  • Hach... he is the best! Wonderful!

  • ronhmr...Robbie did acknowledge Sammy in the way he preformed the song..i am a SDJ fan too but think Robbie did a awesome job in his tribute, he's not trying to take over from sammy ..he's just showing his respects by preforming a Sammy song just like Sammy would have

  • Robbie Williams...you did an amazing tribute to Sammy...i can tell how much you must have admired Sammy by the way you presented his signature song...thank you for not making it yours but delivering the song just the way Sammy would have....you are truely an artist

  • A complete total rip-off of Sammy's arrangement and phrasing. If he going to do this he should at least acknowledge and thank Sammy Davis.

  • Not bad ... surprised

  • 34 people disliked this, just so it would look like a joint

  • for a baby that had hiqs longs full of water. ha dances now.and keep on dancing. for god all mighty

  • the man is glorious

  • This is a fantastic cover of this song. Love the dancing guy! Great touch. Glad Robbie didn't do the dancing thing because it wouldn't respect the lyrics for Robbie to dance it. Needed to be a cool black dude.

  • hats off to you Robbie Williams! Good singing! Good concert! :) You're a good lad :p

  • Amazzingg!!

  • And he did not fuck up the sammy davis jr version, job well done. And i'm not even a fan.

  • He always makes me melt with that twinkle in his eyes & that sexy smile.

  • this one has a proper mix not like the one on robbie's vevo channel... damn how good it sounds

  • !! I Think the word MARVELOUS is the best expression

  • David Bromberg

  • simplesmente maravilhoso!!! que show de interpretação !!! que charme !!!

  • Let's remember Sammy Davis Jr.

  • I saw this on MTV nearly 8 years ago...

I've been searching this exact video for 8 years now and I finally found it :D

  • Just brilliant and I'm nearly 62

  • Mr Robbie , you are killing me softly

  • way too happy for such a sad song!

  • @CorineTait

way to happy?? It IS a half happy-half sad song. I'm not a robbie Williams fan but credit to him for this version. Great stuff. His concert in the Royal Albert Hall was sublime. Good stuff.

  • thumb up if this song reminds you of Jim Carrey impersonating Sammy....!

  • Absolutely adore it as he obviously does, makes me cry, Awwww

  • Thankyou for putting this up, really bought back memories for me. cheered me up today too.. thank you.. and Robbie, i didnt know you had it in you fellow. GB you.

  • @AdrialeEU Hi there, what is this concert called please? i wish to search for it and purchase it for christmas. I absolutly loved this, bought back some memories for me, between my granpapa and me.

  • @JAACastle "Robbie Williams - Live at The Albert"

  • If only he could keep his head on straight

  • ROBBIE, TOP MAN!

  • what an entertainer :)

  • It talkes two guys to equal Sammy Davis Jr....

    (Still pretty good though)

  • This is just great ! Such a versatile artist. Surely one can't fail to be impressed ?

  • how can one person be so happy

  • this is the only time i listened to robbie williams without being forced to by my sister or another female, hes quiet good in this conzert, a whisky a few friends and a game of cards, with this on and frnaky boy, sammy and deano in the mix. and u got urself a good night

  • Robbie is a Prize Twat . I Love the song and, relunctantly,I do like this but he should of done the moves himself. The Guy is still a Moron though.

  • still get goosebumps listening to this luv it

  • Bravo Robbie..good songs..

  • Great Songs..Bravo Robbie..!!!

  • Obviously 30 morons watched this

  • robbie,,,its boss performance.but who..who is that dancer, want to see more of him

  • This song is so so special to me. It was my mother's favourite song, who died in 2006 when I was 15. I love everything about this song and brings back such happy memories I spent with her.

  • He's brilliant!!

  • This whole performance is inspirational. I like all styles of music, mainly metal and hardcore but Mr Williams shows me that there are still definite talent out there with brilliant voices and a dedication to there work :) I miss the days of this music and im only 20 years old!

  • back then when take that came up nobody really recognised robbie william. he mostly sang backups in singles and girls would stick to mark owen or whoever. ive always said that take that is nothing good but that robbie would make a great career. hes got it all: the looks, the charisma, the talent, the voice and the entertainer. it doesnt matter if hes comparable to old swinging legends because he doesnt need to be compared and he probably doesnt want it, too.

  • Check out this English kid, Ryan Kirwan, singing this,... He is unbelievable!

    youtube.com /watch?v=gczHbszEVWo

  • Superb

  • 28 music snobs, need to get over themselves.

  • actually pulls this off.

  • I clicked on this expecting to dislike it but I`m am suprised how well he performed it...credit to you Robbie

  • his phrasing is amazing

  • I dig Robbie Swing while your winning is one of his best albums

  • This is ridiculously good live singing!

  • I love you!

  • He is good, but he can't convey the sadness that Sammy can, however, they are both extremely great entertainers and that's what the song is about...

  • A...pale....imitation of the great Sammy Davis, Jr.

  • great job on this i have a new found level of respect for Robbie Williams

  • Really exillent jobb. Wecome to Pori Jazz.

  • i made the mistake of watching this after watching sammy do it, sammy will never be matched.

  • Nobody will ever replace sammy, dean and frank.. But I think this guy did an AWESOME job. very impressed!

  • Nobody will ever replace sammy, dean and frank.. But I think this guy did an AWESOME job. very impressed!

  • People actually listen to this hack in the UK? Now I understand why he can't get arrested in the states. He blows.

  • @ricofoy Stop trolling troll

  • the way that guy danced was incredible. i liked it very much.

  • the ONLY original version is Jerry Jeff Walker. You see, he actually lived it, then wrote the song. Sammy did a great cover, and Mr. Williams does also. But they are only singing another man's story. They both are copies to Jerry Jeff. Sorry

  • Nice version. But I like SDJ version better.. Nobody can perform this song better. But still good.. Love Robbie..

  • i see lots of people puting down robbies effort or compairing it to sammy davis jr, compairing anything to sammy is not fair sammy is argueablly the best entertainer off all time!!!!.

looking in robbies eyes he is just really enjoying doing the song and wasn't looking to better anybody and the fella dancing was good, but nothing compaired to bojangles :)

  • Can't compete with the great great Sammy Davis Jr.'s version in 1985 (in Germany) his best ever. Robbie does NOT have the "inside experience", and though it is esthetically correct, something is definitely MISSING: the content..

  • Can't compete with the great great Sammy Davis Jr.'s version in 1985 (in Germany) his best ever. Robbie does NOT have the "inside experience", and though it is esthetically correct, something is definitely MISSING.

  • This is not a tribute to Sammy Davis Jr, its a copy.

  • Wat moet ik zeggen?? Robbie is de beste.

What i have to say ?? Robbie is the best..

  • just dance... mmmm.. love this..

  • If you watch the live show he actually makes a small speech before hand paying tribute and explaining the pleasure it gives him to cover the song. Really tastefull.

  • Robbie William is the best singe, have a brilliant voice

And this song is just beautifu :)

  • great. He's the best singer of the world <3

    I LOVE him

  • good grief...Mr. Davis Jr. is rolling over in his grave! Imitation isn't always the sincerest form of flattery! He needs to give credit were credit is DUE!

  • @Tuxster3 he did at the beginning if you see the full transmission.

  • iTS AMAZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING I CAN FELL....IS MUSIC GREEEEEEEEEEEAT!!!!!

  • VERY NICE, BUT, NO WAY NEAR SAMMY DAVIS JR.

  • hermosa cancion, hablo con lagrimas en sus ojos de como su perro y el habian viajado por todas partes durante 15 años, pero su perro murio ,murio y despues de 20 años el aun le llora su muerte,.. hermosa cancion

  • He's got to be singing for real hear. Nice mic-spin.

  • mitico..

  • Bravo!!!

  • He is one of the last great entertainer the world has.

  • @daliaarc wtf is charistamic?

  • Such a CHARISTAMIC peron he is!!!

  • robbie does the song really well, but sammy davis jnr does it the best

  • robbie is an awesome performer!!!

you can see the fire and passion in his eyes for the music.

  • robbie is an awesome performer!!!

  • Robbie is so different from Sammy... still a good artist, and it's very nice that he did this performance

  • Can see what Robbie is tryin to do but this is not even remotely comparable with Sammy Daives Junior, not even within a million miles n im a Robbie fan

  • Come to think of it, I have BIG respect for Robbie for continuing to make remakes of brilliant music from amazing entertainers that have passed away. Nice going, Rob.

  • my favourite, i could listen to rob sing this song all day! (L)

  • classy but woggy..

  • 1:57

  • 1:25

  • i propose to my girlfriend when i sing this song!!!!

  • This guy can sing like mad!

  • so amazing!!! great!!!

  • Robbie is the best !!

  • great voice!!!

  • Goosebumps... that good.

  • IT IS OKAY BUT, SAMMY DAVIS JR'S VERSION OF MR BOJANGLES IS A CLASSIC.

  • Awesome...

  • Good performance. But I believe Sammy Davis Jr. has more soul in his.

  • great job...not my Sammy, but very good...I'd pay to see him perform

  • this show is robbies finest hour....absolutely brillaint from start to finish...:D:D..tyty

  • Listen to Sammy Davis Junior's version.

  • Wow!! Yummy!...Not only that, this was my dad's favorite song...and he made me cry!! Love this version!1

  • his voice is made for swing music :) through and through a fantastic singer. the first one in a long time

  • As a metal musician I don't listen to a lot of music from Robbie Williams, but deeply respect him for his outstanding live performances. Robbie is the best pop-singer of the century. Zero notes out of tune.

  • doesn't affect his voice though :)

    brilliant

  • wow this is weak...i understand that he may have brought this music to a new audience but this is nothing compared to Sammy Davis...

  • @PhishTakko Yes exactly he over dramatises the song and adds words which aren't relevant to the song. And a large part of the song in the middle is missing. Altogether not good- try SAMMY, NEIL DIAMOND, NINA SIMONE ,JOHN DENVER, JERRY JEFF etc.etc. Every other version is 100% better.

  • This beautiful song sung by Robbie made me cry when i heard this verse:

‎"He spoke through tears of 15 years how his dog and he, they would travel about, but his dog up & died, the dog just got old & died, & after 20 years he still grieves"

~ I now understand how Mr Bojangles feels since my 14 year old dog i loved and took everywhere got old and died 3 days ago on the 12th January 2011, R.i.P Sable dog ♡ ♪♫.

  • @michaeljacksonfan336 Right on!!!....I love my boy!! he gives the best love...with no back talk...he is the best..!! My Mushi is the bomb!!! Btw...he is only ten pounds...yet he is a rescue dog and gives much love to nursing homes!!!...the boy has it going on...so u see, if he leaves....i would be empty..

  • Awesome way better then original o and its my opinion before u all start moaning

  • This is awesome, I don't care who sung this b4 and wether or not their better, this is brilliant in its own right and gets me coming back all the time. Brilliant voice :) (would be kl to hear original as well though :P)

  • @Callum1294 it was a great performance, I really love this concert but it's soooo great because of the tribute it is, because of the great respect Robbie Williams has of "The Voice" you cant says you dont care... because this would never happen without Sinatra!!!!

  • I love this. I don't think he's trying to compare himself or anything, he is just paying tribute to the greats of a past era. Robbie works wonders for my ears and eyes (L)

  • this is shit. not to be mistaken for "the shit".

  • @Sirbknight

quiet you fool, go troll somewhere else

  • This is good, but I still like the Croce version best.

  • playback, completely..

  • @gabbrorlo seriously? are you drugged?

  • This still makes me cry cause good old times never come back...

  • This still makes me cry

  • I know Mr. Bojangles, and you sir are no Mr. Bojangles. This is an insult to sammy, and you sir should be ashamed of yourself for trying to compare yourself to the great sammy davis jr.

  • @crothrica I really don't think he's trying to compare himself with Sammy David Jr. It's just a tribute to him! Not a comparinson :P

  • @crothrica I agree with you, this is very poor and if he's comparing himself to the great Sammy, then he's deluding himself. He is second rate.

  • @crothrica Yes indeed

  • gaww he sounds (and looks) just so gorgeous....

  • Gives me the chills.

  • What a talent is Robbie Williams and what a fantastic tribute to Sammy Davis, Jr. and the Rat Pack Era. Yeah, I loved the mike toss, too.

  • Robbie done this cover so great.

    Respect.

  • Wiener Walzer!!!Wunderschön!

  • 1:26 microphone throw hell yea

  • Best Performer of the 21st century.Soooo talentet!!!!!Simply GREAT.Everybody knows, why TAKE THAT wanted Robbie back. They are nothing without him!!!

  • @03045026878 It was the other way round- Take That were on a massive revival tour & riding high without him then he came crawling back

  • einfach nur süß :) was für ne ausstrahlung er hat, unglaublich!

  • One of my favorite song by robbie williams

but Bill Robinson who is also called Mr. Bojangles was a famous Black American tap dancer and entertainer. He was one of the first black entertainers that became popular with all different races in the United States

but jerry jeff walker came up with the song

  • 9 fags dont know what music realy means

  • better that sammy's version!

  • dance Mr. Bojongles

    luv it

  • Love it and love robbie

  • I could eat him

  • I think i may vomit !!!!!!!

  • @iamzexy Me too, and he left out over half the lyrics.Compared to other versions this is extremely poor (but he thinks it's great).Listen to the original for genuine talent.

  • @MrMonroman My favourite version of this song is Nina Simone , and its nice to hear someone else say Mr Williams version is crap, everybody i know loves this!!!

  • @iamzexy Yes Nina Simone's is great , I also like the David Bromberg one for a different approach. Mind you there are so many it's hard to choose the best - but the worst is you know who RW!

  • Saw a documentary about Thake That and Robbie, unbelievable that he had stage fright......He is really one of the best performers of his era. And this is a great life performance and a really nice song

  • very good, juts don't watch Sammy song,,

  • Im not a big robbie fan at all to be honest, but this album was brilliant. Robbie should be a swing man, but i dont think its a sustainable career in the market today, even michael buble can'y just do swing
