Actually because of the historical and religious aspects of Nazca it is against the law to dig on the site. I have been there once and it is truly one of the amazing sites of the world. Puma Punko is even more amazing from just the sheer size and precise cutting of the stone. So much has been lost especially in the north and south america because for 300 plus years we did not care about thier history and tossed tons of artifacts away.
I can't believe no one has ever digged at Nazca; it makes u wonder if the Peruvian government ever investigated it. I don't see how scientists or lawmakers there could look at that and never want to find out what happened there. No there has got to be more there; because to me Nazca is a smoking gun and there hasn't been a feasible or reasonable explanation for it to date that will suffice.
I think the Inca's have a lot more ancient tech than anywhere else on the planet but we need more research on it. That means digging which in turn means funding and then licensing and here is the problem. With road blocks like that it's easy to protect secrets from being exposed.
